When my niece took her mom (my sister) for her appointment, they were told they missed their appointment, it was 9:45 and they need to reschedule. My sister has health issues and has to have someone bring her to appointments, this was a massive inconvenience for both my sister & my niece (who had to travel over 45 minutes to get there). My sister does not want to go back (this was NOT her 1st time there either) because of the mix up.

When I arrived I was greeted with a friendly smile from her assistants as always and was quickly offered the OPTOMAP. That's where they take a picture behind your eye. It's pretty cool actually and that allows the doctor to be able to see the overall health of your eye and can compare it from the previous year. What's awesome about that is if there are health concerns detected in your eye, it's more then likely, going on everywhere else in your body. After the pictures were taken, I was then taken to a waiting room. Moments later the doctor came in with a friendly smile we talked about our personal lives and had my normal eye exam. She's super friendly and funny, so I enjoy seeing her regularly even if she no longer accepts my insurance. She's always been honest with me and I feel she truly cares about the health of my eyes and is just a genuinely good person. Her prices are fair and I haven't had to worry about the insurance at all. I will continue to see her and recommend her to anyone else looking for a good eye doctor.

While I don't have cataracts, it sounds like Dr. Gounder does cataract monitoring and surgeries for them and REALLY enjoys doing so (he was very excited talking about it).
