Horrible service. If you can avoid at all cost. I had then pick up my stuff in California and was delivered to Texas. First, they hiked the price when they were delivering my stuff. Said they wouldn't unload and complained about how tired they were from driving. That's your job! How is that my fault. Second, my refrigerator's doors were removed in California in order to make it fit through the door as well as my recliner. When they were unloading here in Texas , I noticed they weren't even trying to put them back together, I asked "who's putting my stuff back together? They all gave a blank Stare and said we don't even carry tools. Their customer support was rude and told me "put guys don't disassemble things" once I told her I had pictures of their guys doing it. Her story changed. Then it was "well. We'll disassemble but we don't put back together." When I asked where in the contract does show that they can't or cannot do that she said that she was going to call the foreman who did the pick up in California and then get back to me. It's been hours and I still haven't gotten a reply. This is horrible horrible company. You have a better chance of getting your stuff from point A point B by yourself Over due update. Spoke to a few mangers, one being Briam Reyes and they did manage to get someone back the next day to put my refrigerator back together. So far it's been working properly (1 week later). They are currently working on making everything right so I do appreciate that. Due to that I will increase my rating to 3 stars. Hopefully they correct the mistakes. I do recommend making sure all customer service reps are aware of their policies seeing how the lady I spoke to didn't seem to know them. read more

Terrible! I planned a move with them to move from Phoenix to Portland, Oregon. However our plans changed and when I called to get my $1000 deposit back they told me it would take up to 21 days. On the 22 day I called back and they told me it was never sent. Now I'm supposed to wait 3 days and they are going to Zelle me the money. It's day 2 and I haven't seen anything yet. During excessive Red Bull consumption, Seventh Generation Moving & Storage (also responsible, Allegiance and Anthem Insurance), damaged/ruined the following that they they also wrapped: Baby Grand Piano, Vintage Amish Jewelry Armoire, 2 lamps, broke legs off 2 bench storage units, 3 wheel relatively new bike, etc., and saw them scrape/damage couch against door jam to which the boss replied, "file damage report when delivered." However, delivery drive did not speak English and did not have forms to fill out per insurance at time of delivery either. Also, per Allegiance, driver would know how to set up baby grand at delivery but he had no idea and when set up by them, damage/ruined. Also, a very good electric leaf blower is still missing. I filed damage reports with pictures on-line and made numerous phone calls to 7th Generation (Brian) to Allegiance and to Anthem since 2024. They denied mostly everything and awarded $132.00 with a form to sign basically saying that I could not bring anything else against them. I did not accept or sign the form. read more

They increase the agreed upon price by 50% (so thousands of more dollars)!! They charge storage fees even though it's a month after the agreed upon delivery date! They tell you "we'll wave off the extra storage fees", then go around and say "well it wasn't approved by management", so you still have to pay even after their employees promise you the discount!!!! Horrible experience - do not use this company. Charged us 230% more than the estimate by grossly underestimating our initial quote to get our business, then hit us with 2.3x the price after items were loaded. They threaten you if you don't sign the documents by claiming you'll be charged even more money at higher rates to unload the truck, store items, etc.They leave you with no option on the day of your move, knowing how difficult it will be to pause your move on move day and quickly find another company who is honest and available. Some of the issues we experienced included: - Loading items onto their truck that they were clearly directed not to load. - Boxes deliberately packed with empty space and excess packing paper to inflate the cubic footage and final cost. - Pressure to sign documents and bill of lading under duress, informing us our belongings would not be unloaded unless we signed or paid a large cash sum to unload the truck immediately. - Forced to pay the full balance in cash on a federal bank holiday, with no prior notice of the delivery date. - Extremely unprofessional communication from their reps. We have never been treated so disrespectfully by a company or individual that we have paid such a large amount of money to, including yelling and cursing at us. This company took advantage of us, held our belongings hostage unless we went along with their fraudulent scheme, and were aggressive and rude to us to the point it had me in tears at multiple points during pickup and delivery. Be warned - do not book or allow your broker to use this company! Alfredo, Cristian and German were my movers. They arrived on time as scheduled. I showed them the items that needed to be moved. Refrigerator, Washer, Dining Room Set, twin bed, Sofa, armoire, shelves. Cristian says 350 cubic feet will only be the Refrigerator, Washer, Dining Room Set. Cristian says if I want the rest of the items moved, I need to pay more. Just the twin bed is $ 300.00 more. The rest of the items will be $ 1000.00 more. My original contract was for 1 refrigerator, 1 washing machine, 1 armoire, bed frame, head board, queen bed mattress and box spring, 4 chairs, 2 shelves, 2 coffee tables, 1 kitchen table, 2 side tables. I was told these items so far is under 350 cubic feet. I was told I can add things as long as I stay within 350 cubic feet. I decided to not pay more. He says if I give him 5 star review he will take the twin bed. The four items they took was not nearly close to 350 cubic feet. The armoire and the shelves would still be within 350 cubic feet. I feel they didn't want to do business ethically. I rather donate the rest the stuff I needed to move. I hope they use this review to do better. read more

If I could give this company a negative star, that would not be enough. Amerisafe contracted this company for a move of my 94 year old mother's contents of one room in her apartment. I was putting her in a hospice home and she had to give up her place. These two men were the most unprofessional human beings I have ever dealt with and I have been in business working for major law firms and corporations for over 40 years. Amerisafe asked for a list of items I was moving. They told me point blank that the items would not take up the space I was buying but that there was a minimum amount assigned to each person. The list included 21 boxes, and various furniture, several paintings and other items. The end result was only 10 boxes, a bakers rack, a side marble table which they broke by piling boxes on top, a screen, a tiny table, and a wicker chest. The men walked in to my mothers place, didn't even introduce themselves properly, I received a call from the manager of the elderly care building and she said they were rude when she asked them to park in a certain place. The men were rude to me, the main man kept saying he knew he shouldn't take this job, and he started negotiating my money all over again with the wrong monetary figures. No one told me to bubble wrap paintings to be moved. Amerisafe told me the movers would handle all of that. Instead, the movers didn't want to do it and said they would charge me an additional $100 per painting!! I couldn't take a table, I had to leave precious family paintings because I was only in San Diego till the next day as I live on the East Coast, and they knew they had me over a barrel. This was hands down the worst experience ever in my 67 years on this earth. The man was yelling at me and I had to call the manager at Amerisafe to get him involved as this man was out ofcontrol with his behavior. I called the manager and the man in front of me started accusing me of lying to the manager. Then, the man proceeded to attack the manager who hired Seventh Generation in the first place! It was a nightmare but ultimately, I had to give in because I was flying back to the East Coast the next day and needed to get back to work. .Now, I filed a BBB complain and they are STILL not dealing with the issues I have raised. They keep skirting things telling me to file a proof of claim! The man who delivered by furniture where there should have been 2 men not one, told me I was under on square footage and he told me those men pack the tractor trailer. They also held our property hostage unless we paid an additional $900 the day of delivery for a smaller moving truck they ended up not even needing. What were we to do at that point? Absolutely terrible experience with Seventh Generation Movers. We received a quote based on a full list of items, including two beds, a couch, a coffee table, boxes, and other household goods. But when the movers arrived, they suddenly claimed they couldn't take everything that was originally quoted. They told us we had to choose either the two beds, bed frame, and boxes or the couch and coffee table We asked them to at least fill the truck up to what we paid for. They ended up taking only 235 cubic feet--less than half of what we were charged for. All the items they did take were standard shapes (mattresses on their sides, rectangular bed frames, boxes), so there was no excuse for such a poor load. I even took exact measurements, and it's clear they simply didn't deliver the capacity promised. To make matters worse, they told us delivery would be between 4-6 PM the next day. We planned our 5-hour drive accordingly--with a 20-day-old newborn and a toddler in tow--only to be told at 8:30 PM that our things wouldn't arrive until the following day. No help, no compensation, just a casual "nothing we can do." Now I'm stuck paying for a hotel, with my wife and two small children, all because of their broken promises and disorganized service. Movers showed up with a truck half of the size that we needed. They did not take all of our furniture and furnishings. We had to put things in our own vehicle as we moved out of state. Our refrigerator was scratched as it was taken out the front door and one of our tv's that was wrapped in plastic was broken and scratched furniture. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The mover that delivered our furniture and furnishings was EXCELLENT. He was even upset at how the packing was done. In my experience it was extremely poor. 1) I went through my inventory furniture wise and expressed I wouldn't know how many boxes I would have. I was quoted $4K and paid half to reserve my position for when I move. I did have a bit of a hiccup with my escrow prolonging my moving time. 2) When my stuff was picked up my cost went up to $11,400.00 I was stuck at this point. pick up went smoothly; but delivery wasn't so good. My boxes were not handled with care, I had some things broken, boxes mutilated which show signs of issues inside of the boxes. Furniture set upside down. I am writing this review from my own bad experience with Seventh Generation Moving. If you are considering a move, please read this before making your decision. Amerisafe, a moving broker highly recommended Seventh Generation by representative Mark Edwards. I was given a quote by Mark Edwards of $31,788.46 of which they required a deposit of $13,785.00. No one came out to survey my household, it was all done verbally and a questionnaire to fill out about what was in each room. I was very uncomfortable with this and told Mark Edwards and he reassured me that this is how it is done and not to worry that he would be sending a large truck and Seventh Generation would take good care of my move. He is quite the salesman. My move was scheduled for a 2-day pack-out process. They showed up on the 1st day with 1 large truck and 8 packers. There was no organization or information given to me as to which rooms and how this swarm of 8 people would be doing the packing. This was the most chaotic thing ever. The way they were packing things was like it was their first time doing this. Several times I stopped them, asked them to be more careful and they seemed annoyed by me which was very unsettling. Later this first day I was told that they would need to bring in 2 more trucks and that they wanted to do the entire pack out in 1 day. They had already called in several more packers and I was not given a choice which was so overwhelming since I was not ready to have my entire home put in boxes. At the end of the day, they told me that my new cost would be $48,691.47 which almost gave me a heart attack but then they had already packed my entire home what was I to do? Shame on them! I really felt backed into a corner at that late hour and did not know what to do. Mark Edwards, the broker, kept telling me that if there were any problems to contact him and he would handle. He failed this miserably because he keeps passing all this on to someone else who is not qualified to make decisions or help resolve any of the problems. When they arrived in Florida with my items there were only 2 trucks. They had taken the additional 2 trucks they brought in at my California home, taken them to a location and repacked things into a 2nd large truck. Looking at the invoice, they charged me $7,215. for packing materials and $10,375. for the estimate which I feel is bogus since they totally underestimated the quote. What I got out of all this was more than 80 items that were broken, scratched, and dented along with missing items including jewelry. For the damaged items and losses, they have made an offer of $321. compensation. It's an embarrassing amount with the way my move was handled, and that amount does not even cover the 6 Crystal Waterford goblets that were demolished in the move. No matter how many phone calls, emails, and texts I have sent out to the broker, Mark Edwards, and Seventh Generation, they pass it along to someone else who has not helped resolve this. After almost a year neither company is responding to me . I feel I have been abandoned by this company as well as the broker. I do feel like they sold the job, got their money with no respect for me the client nor taking any responsibility for all of my household items that they destroyed in the move. I am 78-year-old widow and I feel that I have been taken advantage of. Buyer beware - I wish someone had warned me about Amerisafe and Seventh Generation. I was "re-quoted" & charged more than double when the movers showed up to pick up my things even though I listed everything in the original quote and he was rude and aggressive but what can you do when you need to move and don't have a choice?! I'm pretty sure they are encouraged to up charge on the spot as a way for them to make commission & scam you. Then when they finished loading the truck, he had the audacity to come back & knock on my door to ask for a cash tip even though I ended up paying well over 2.5K MORE then the original quote and was forced to get rid of furniture they wouldn't take! The guy was such a jerk, very hostile & aggressive. Not someone you want in your home let alone handling your precious property. I moved from California to Utah & was told it would be "maybe a week" to get my stuff - nope. I followed up every day for over 8 days in a row with zero response as to when I could expect my belongings and it wasn't until I reached out the final time and let them know I was ready to file a legal claim that they suddenly drove over night a couple weeks later to bring my items (I put trackers in my items so I could see every move - def recommend adding air tags in your property). When I finally got my property, the boxes were smashed, ripped open & destroyed, so many of my items were broken as well! I would absolutely not recommend these movers. It's a bait & switch, you will end up paying significantly more then 'quoted' & their level of communication & customer service is terrible. I had to move during the pandemic, placing most of my belongings in storage while I was in a temporary situation. The reviews I saw in 2020 were great, and they were able to accommodate me on short notice while also providing the storage unit. My understanding was that my belongings would go into a storage unit or two with no one else's belongings. Like a locker. So it seemed safe and simple. Once I found a long term living situation, I called to arrange to have my items brought out of storage and delivered to the new home. I had to call a couple times before receiving a call back. The movers were actually early, which was great. But then the first box they brought in - I knew immediately it wasn't mine. Several boxes were not mine, and several boxes of mine are still missing. Containing items like books written by friends with personal dedications and other items that simply cannot be replaced. I also had many items that broke during the move, and I have never had that happen before. I've moved across the country twice, and moved within the city several times over 25 years with nothing broken until now. They also broke my grandfather's antique desk glass top. Something he had custom made decades ago, and has been through dozens of moves with no issues until 7th Gen. Their insurance denied most of my claim saying there's no proof of the missing boxes, even though the mover that day went through the manifest with me and noted the missing boxes on the paperwork. It wasn't even worth following through with the insurance claim for the $30 they offered. I'm still confused as to why my belongings were mixed in with other people's since they were supposed to live in a dedicated locker. Obviously that was a lie they told. They were assigned to me after going through a broker, Amerisafe, who said all the right things and gave me all the right assurances right up until the point they took my deposit. Afterward, their customer service was a joke. But I digress. This was for a cross-country move. Anyway, I was quoted a price of 2700 as an estimate and put down a deposit. But when they packed all of my stuff they suddenly did a bait and switch and told me the new price jumped to 5400! explaining that the estimate was based on the number of things I had but the final price was based on the amount of square footage I occupied in the truck. BS!!! Straight-up shakedown. And what are you supposed to do? They have all your stuff and I had to move urgently. At this point, the wheels were in motion and it was too late. The best part? The foreman had the nerve to ask for a cash tip after doubling the price on me. LOL They also didn't even bring the right tools to dismantle my furniture. I had to run to the hardware store and buy them a wrench they could use. Why wouldn't you carry the most basic of tools when working in a profession that requires you to assemble and take apart furniture? They held my stuff in storage as my new apartment wouldn't be ready to move into for a month. During this time I repeatedly called to ask when they thought they'd be bringing my stuff over and not one time could they give me a straight answer despite having a whole month to figure out the logistics. This was important because my new building requires advanced notice to rent the loading dock into the building. A deposit and reservation is required. I kept explaining this to them but the woman I spoke to just shrugged and said there was nothing they could do. I moved into my apt and had to sleep on an air mattress for two weeks until they finally brought my stuff. They showed up and wouldn't start unloading my things until i agreed to pay an additional 300 bucks because they had to move the items from a semi to a smaller truck because their semi wouldn't fit in the streets in my neighborhood. Or so they say. Nobody informed me of this. Nobody gave me a heads-up. just one last shakedown. These people exist to push the limits of how hard they can F*** you. On top of that, they forgot to load my desk into the smaller truck and I had to constantly harass them to bring it by the next day. How do you miss a 70-inch slab of wood? When they finally brought it, it was damaged. So i had to pay to get that fixed. They also straight up lost (or stole) one box of very valuable items worth about 1500 dollars. They were neither remorseful nor apologetic and just shrugged their shoulders. These ppl don't give a damn about their customers. I am currently going through the process of their insurance to see if I can be compensated for my damaged and missing items. But I am not holding my breath. Once they get your items to the address (more than a month later), there are additional charges. Some furniture was messed up and we took pictures and contacted customer service. I have used multiple moving companies for international, interstate, and local moves and Seventh Generation are by far the worst. They doubled my cubic footage from 400 cu. Ft. To 800 and we're charging me $3,700 when they came to pick up my items (on top of what I had already paid for the move). My box and furniture count were the exact same as to what I had quoted prior to the move so there was no way it could have doubled for an apartment. They also picked up more items than expected in their move earlier in the day and told me because of that, they didn't have space in their truck? As a result, I had to leave many of my personal belongings behind and arrange to move them myself. Extremely unprofessional. The foreman and his team were rude. They were not willing to help reduce cubic footage and disassemble simple items like desks or chair legs so that it could take more space in their truck and they could charge me more for cubic footage. The moving team made this move very stressful. They left my desk in an elevator and didn't even load it into the truck and left. They also left behind the power cord for my TV and didn't pack it while they wrapped the TV. Finally, a lot of our furniture was damaged, boxes were damaged along with their contents and you could see the truck was loaded in a very haphazard manner. These guys were good and took take of our stuff. Our move was over 35+ miles. They plastic wrapped and used furniture pads. Make sure you put tvs back in their boxes. Self wrap glass displays and such, they can do it for you but it would be an extra charge. All our stuff made it over with no issues. Pieces were reassembled. If you're using a moving company broker or logistics company make sure you ask a lot of questions. The company we used left out so much info that it made the beginning of the move day frustrating through no fault of the labor team. Thankfully the team and I were able to work things out. read more

Be advised! They could care less about you your stuff and how to respect the place they're moving you from! Left so much trash from unwrapping moving material! I have white leather furniture, white bedroom furniture, everything especially the couch was full of black hand prints! But most of the corners on furniture had either black or scuffs on it! And this was new furniture. Beautiful hardwood floor with lots of bad scuffs I tried to get out!!! Asked head mover and he was very condescending like oh well....called company never received a call back THIS IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY DON'T USE THEM!!! We are missing 4-6 bins, a ladder & a large bag of blankets. I have called the company every day with no reply from anyone. At our pick up, I was told by the move that he would see me in 4 days....more like 17 days with only one guy unloading our stuff. He was fine. It just took 5 hours. read more

Worse moving company out there. Stay away! We had damaged furniture and 2 expensive bicycles that were stolen. They are offering us $104 for all the damaged property and the 2 bikes worth over $2500. It took us forever to get our furniture and boxes. At one point, they had no idea where our stuff was. It cost us over what we were quoted. I would not trust these people. Crappy wrapping jobs, crappy packing. I took pictures of all the damaged goods and they offered us .60 cents a pound. Bull crap! read more

This by far is a horrendous packaging and moving company. After a long nearly 9 months of frustration and stress to get them to resolve our furniture damages, they sent a settlement letter totaling $15 for destroying our property that they packed. Anthem who does their claims stated we did the packing and were irresponsible for the inadequate packing to protect our furniture. Oh Dear. Anthem: we paid them to pack the large furniture!!! Duh. Poor investigation!! Must have been the cleaning lady... Also, sent the settlement letter to Florida, instead of our residence in Myrtle Beach SC. P--- poor customer service. If you go with Seventh Generation, be prepared to be screwed. They do not care about your treasured belongings. You have been warned. Look across the Internet of tons of negative reviews. You'd be better to carry your property in your hands then to let this worthless moving company overcharge you to stick it up your rear end. read more

they dont even get a one star but i had to do it i swear to god, do not use these people. i lost thousands of dollars, stored my stuff had an across country move. pottery barn beds destroyed, missing boxes, damaged grandfather clock, i paid 2000. just for storage for 3 months, they are the worst. i swear on my life and my children and grandchildren i am being honest! run. do not ever ever ever use them. once they have you, they never answer the phone put you to voice mail. i paid 9 thousand for a move including 3months storage. worst mistake in my entire life. a finanical wreck of a decision. learn from me. there are thousands of companies. amerisafe brokers hired them for me. amerisafe. i am missing 3 boxes, had ember coffee cup, 2 dutch ovens, i robot 7 vacuum cleaner, le cruset pans, the howard miller grandfather clock has a bent pendulum, they wrapped it in blankets 280.00 repair, i made the biggest mistake of my life. heed this. on top this? when the slick mover arrived, he wanted me to send the tip to his venmo. he claimed he would charge me less than the company as i had more things and doubled my cost but he would "save me money" i feel like i was raped for gods sakes. learn this cautionary tale. i didn't post the rest of the stuff, too much, and im upset just typing this. heed the other reviews i am reading. they doubled my costs. thieves.
