Why wear things that don't fit well, you're keeping for that one time when..., or are not classics and are actually dated? When I met her for shopping, I made some quick judgements about some of the items she picked out, thinking, "I'll never wear that." But much to my surprise, those items looked great. Margo nicely pushed me out of my comfort zone/rut of wearing the same colors (hello navy and black!) or buying 3 of one item. She also taught me why some things were unflattering and how to pick things that would be, how to know which jeans would fit best, and how to accessorize. Margo was really fun to work with, and although I wasn't sure how it would be shopping with a stylist, it felt like shopping with a girlfriend who was honest, helpful, and fun to be around. I was on a budget and didn't purchase everything that we found, but she did help me find plenty of great pieces and I got an idea of what sorts of brands and styles were a good fit for me. We met three times over the course of a month or two - once for the closet audit, once for the shopping trip, and once for her to put together some outfits with what we bought (she encouraged me to take photos of the outfits, and it's been a lifesaver).
