I would say why I gave one star but from reading the other reviews they don't like when you curse even though you can if yelp allows it it's a review you can give an honest review and say what you want. When you take your child to evaluation for the first meet and everything goes exceptionally well until the end as your packing up and walking out they voluntarily say "oh yea also if you want to take your kid to a different speech therapy place we totally understand.... Believe them take it as a sign and run. Otherwise.... We work with Sarah Stolkarts, and have had a fantastic experience! Sarah is amazing with our 6 year old, who does his speech therapy virtually. She is so engaging with him, supportive and patient, and she also keeps it really fun with all kinds of games. He loves doing speech therapy with Sarah and really looks forward to it. She has also been very supportive to my husband and I, providing us with extra ideas and homework we can work on with our son in between sessions, and has been very communicative and helpful with any questions we have. Seven Bridges makes it very easy to reschedule sessions too, through their centralized scheduling department. The company is extremely money hungry. My son had attended for about two years never had a problem till now. Earlier this year I had my FIRST no communication missed appointment, my eldest graduated and one thing I forgot to do was contact the office to cancel his session. Any mom with four kids and a graduate could understand being overwhelmed and forgetting one thing!!! An hour after his missed appointment I contacted the office apologizing as I have never done this. I left a message with the staff at the office and a personal text to his therapist apologizing. They dropped my son immediately, they contacted me and had the wrong number on file. (I gave them the updated number prior to this). They cancelled him right after this the first time! I was livid and threw a fit so they reinstated his services. Here we are now in October, my son has a new therapist now (about 2-3 sessions with them so far) and a staff member called to inform me the therapist would be out for two weeks. Simple mistake is I did not know the dates she was trying to reschedule for as she called while I was driving and I got no email. Tuesday comes and I miss his appointment 10/8/24 because I assumed this was the two weeks the therapist was out of town cus I just got a call a week ago trying to reschedule. (Sad part is I tried to find other options for them to work with me so they could get paid I literally told the staff that, what an idiot). I even told his school he wouldn't have therapy for the next two weeks. I immediately communicated with them!!!! As you can see in the email the same date! I even spoke on the phone prior to the email requesting she resend the email with the dates. I communicated, missing the appointment yes that was my fault, I should have confirmed the dates, but this is the second time you treat me and my child like we are less than and incompetent when I've done nothing but communicate effectively. They sent me a text two days after the second missed session telling me good luck and they dropped my son. They mention a warning email too which they did send after the first missed session and one day after the warning email they dropped him!!! Say you didn't seven bridges!? They drop your child as if they are trash. Our children are special needs and us parents have many opportunities to make simple mistakes like these. We don't need people who are so unwilling. The lack of empathy for families or understanding of the miscommunication, I mean how do you speak with the staff so clearly an hour after a missed service and they just uncaringly drop your child and tell you your poor at communication. My son receives many services and his therapy is disrupted by your staff being out more than himself being out. They mentioned in email it's because of lack of payment, because they have to still pay their staff. I honestly do not want my son here anymore anyways. CSLOT had better terms. This is because my sons insurance pays they only want you with them if your an out of pocket client! Watch out! GREEDY AND MONEY HUNGRY. STAY AWAY the f**k from SEVEN BRIDGES , they waste my son's life since the center was very close to our house we had on and off limited services , every time they had to cancel and I hope they didn't charge the insurance because that's considered fraud. My son is 12 now. He's non verbal but he tries. They never want to give the chance. Everybody wants a chance. The owner was being racist and she try to manipulate me if I don't take the post on Google my son will not get services. They put him on the waitlist because their therapist weee quiting. He been on the waitlist for 3 years and then they said in the email we don't have services for your son, that's discrimination. Unprofessional and ignorant. They don't have sympathy and care for their clients. They don't care about children with disabilities, they only care about the money. All she said in Google that we don't have services for your son, no screw you and stop saying lies. This review is for Seven Bridges as a whole and also for the location on Grand Avenue near Lake Merritt. History. Eleven years ago my 2 year old adopted daughter was clearly having language delays. After seeing several local therapists with no success we received approval from our insurance company and were connected to Shannon Kong (owner of 7 Bridges). She was the only therapist that was able to connect to my daughter. She is gifted, talented and extremely knowledgeable. Fast forward to 2022. Same daughter going through puberty and experiencing incredible social anxieties and social insecurities. A call with Shannon was enlightening and educational and she connected us with one of her many talented therapists. Even with the high demand for therapeutic services - the folks at Seven Bridges worked with us to get my daughter the support she needed. Esther Martinez worked with our now 13 year old daughter. Esther was so patient with her as my daughter was not always willing to participate. Esther had great insight into my daughters struggles and clearly communicated with me after each session. The session's definitely helped my daughter in her self awareness. Working with Seven Bridges also helped educate me on how best to support my daughter. I highly recommend Seven Bridges for speech, communication and social skills therapy. The scheduling and insurance/billing team are helpful, patient and always quick to respond. This place is horrible ! My daughter started off with just Thursdays and somehow they wanted to force me to come Mondays as well just to benefit them for money. I had an emergency where I couldn't make it and then yesterday their therapist couldn't make it so very last minute they had to reschedule. I told the lady I wasn't sure of a date and time at the moment and she insist I get out on the calendar or they will have to let my daughter go . I have other children and they have no kind of consideration for peoples time . So now they are telling me since I couldn't make it to the appointment that was forced on us because their therapist decided not to show up that my daughter can no longer receive services from them . read more

When my son Zayn was 3 years old he was diagnosed with Apraxia of speech by a speech therapist at Language Essentials. We were very hopeful that through time his speech difficulties would improve and one day he would ultimately overcome this. We had him enrolled with a therapist twice per week for 30 minutes and after a year and a half we saw very little improvement from him. We tried our best to build a good relationship with my sons therapist and would always ask her what else we could do at home to help him. Although she was a nice person, we didn't feel much of a connection with her as there was very little feedback on Zayns challenges, progress, and whether there was hope that he would one day overcome Apraxia. It was at that point that we decided to leave Language Essentials and look elsewhere to see if another therapist & center would be more impactful with significant improvement from him. After a few months of searching, we were very fortunate to find a new speech therapy center called "Seven Bridges Therapy" in Pleasanton. We started the speech therapy sessions twice per week in August 2022 with an intelligent young woman named Kacie Bohlmann. What transpired in the coming months was simply amazing! Kacie was very determined & enthusiastic to help Zayn with his Apraxia as she got him engaged in every session. My son also has a twin sister and although she does not have any speech issues she always welcomed her with a smile to sit in and participate in some of the exercises & games. Her methods of getting Zayn engaged during these sessions essentially led to him to speaking with more confidence and sounding out the words properly. Kacie was always giving us feedback and keeping us in the loop regarding Zayns progress and how we could help him at home. During one of the school IEP meetings Kacie willfully attended the meeting because she wanted to give her evaluation and insight on how far Zayn has come. Although Zayn's journey is still not over as he slowly transitions to more mainstream classes, we are extremely grateful for the hard work that Kacie has done for the past 2 years. In July 1st 2024 we had our final session with Kacie at Seven Bridges Therapy. All 3 of us will truly miss Kacie not only because she was an excellent speech therapist but because she had become one of our close friends. We are a military family; knowing this place specializes in helping children with their speech, they can't even reach out properly to or with the parents without being rude. It's a big disgrace. We started off having one therapist twice a week, Tiffany, and she was awesome when we first moved here. Then all of a sudden, they decided to move and replaced her with another therapist. Super skeptical at first because they warned us a week before. The replacement, Ani, is super awesome. All of a sudden they changed my son's appointments from seeing her 2x to once a week with another therapist. He shouldn't be changing therapist every 3-5 months and having appointments cut without discussing it with us as parents. Now that it's the pandemic, they didn't care they cut my son's appointments from being seen twice a week with two different therapists to once a week VIA tele-therapy. First week of July, they decided to bring back the second appointment without a warning with the second therapist. And not only that, they decided to CHANGE to ANOTHER THERAPIST whom we never met, nor my son never communicated. She was sitting in one of the appointments but she didn't speak or try to approach my son. Where is the stability in having our son with just 1 therapist for the two appointments per week!!? It's changing every few months. This speech therapy business has a HUGE communication issue. This isn't the 1st, 2nd or 3rd time I had to speak to them about it. They want everything handed to them. Not only that, they don't know how to deal with payment/authorization through insurance in January, EVEN THOUGH we were with them as of May 2019. I emailed Shannon has an issue speaking to parents -- when you speak to her, best believe she'll have an attitude 99% of the time. read more

My 3YO has severe speech delays and some behavioral issues. I wasn't sure if he was on the spectrum. I was completely lost trying to figure out what to do. I was always overwhelmed and felt helpless. He aged out of East Bay Regional Center. And we were waiting to hear from OUSD Burbank Diagnostic Center. I just couldn't handle the constant tantrums and frustration. So, I decided to try finding my own resources to get the help WE needed. We found this pathologist office. They conducted two evaluation sessions. From there, they developed a plan. At first, he was a bit resistant to attending the 30 minute sessions. But, with every visit, he's been more and more attentive and able to participate. Within a couple months, we were able to notice a difference in his demeanor. And he was throwing less tantrums. And trying to expand his vocabulary. We've been coming her since November. He has two sessions a week. He now asks to see Hiba & Nene regularly. He even goes into the sessions on his own. I just get to relax in the waiting room. I'm so THANKFUL to have found this office! They've helped us SO much! My son now attends preschool and I'm feeling so relieved knowing that things are getting better! read more

First, Seven Bridges accommodated is for an initial evaluation to begin therapy, when other centers were offering only a waitlist. They said we could take the assessment anywhere which provided some flexibility, but they also got us in with a fantastic speech therapist at a time that worked well for us. My sons therapist, Hiba, was fantastic! She was patient, thorough, and kind--the perfect match for our energetic 3yo boy. He finished his therapy earlier than expected and we feel like this is due to Hiba's amazing clinical skill, her ability to communicate with us the parents all the ways we could help at home, and her flexibility whenever we needed a make-up session. My son is still talking about "speech" and asks if he can go back to see his "best friend, Ms. Hiba." Thank you Seven Bridges! read more
