This place is simply a must to dine at while you're spending time in Galway.
First and foremost, I was extremely pleased with the customer service we received from this fine establishment. We had arrived in Galway on a rainy afternoon after just taking the train in from Dublin. There was 9 of us total, all with heavy luggage's and nowhere to store them. We were starving from our journey and anxious to get out of the rain and sip on a tall glass on Guinness.
As we walked into the Seven(our nickname for this place), the host graciously greeted us as asked if we would like to be seated. We explained to her that we had a few hours before check in and we were trying to find a place that would allow us to dine with our bags while we wait. She offered to store our bags for us while we dinned in a secure locked location in the restaurant. We were thrilled with her generous offer and even more pleased with the fact that we could now enjoy our lunch and drinks with no worries and plenty of leg room without our luggage's getting in the way. Top notch customer service in my book.
As for the food, oh my god it was truly fantastic! I tried the fried calamari and the fish and chips. Both were the best seafood I'd had on my entire trip. Plus, every pint of Guinness I ordered was poured perfectly. One could easily sip down pint after pint while enjoying their cozy atmosphere and great friendly vibes. The rest of my group ordered a variety of items, including hot wings (an American favorite) which the chefs at the Seven whipped up to absolute perfection. Their buffalo sauce was the best! I must admit, we even came back to this restaurant three more times before we left Galway just to indulge in all the great food and delicious wings.
Please do yourself a favor and stop in Seven Bridge Street while you're visiting Galway. Just and FYI, the kitchen stops serving food at 9pm so get their early for great food and stay late for good beer and a great night. read more
