Went in to have them test oil pressure on a 2001 Silverado. He tried lying to me about the process to make it seem like I had an unusual vehicle that would be a bigger deal than usual. And they couldn't do it with the normal tools. When I know for a fact what it takes to do it on these and have done it many times with a common kit. Seth Motors, Ellensburg, WA May 2019 We arrived in Ellensburg, WA for a conference about 11 AM on a Friday. Ellensburg is a college town on I-90 about 100 miles east of Seattle. Our Ford Expedition dash gauges started making wild fluctuations and the battery light came on. Then all the dash gages stopped working. The engine was still running so we started looking for a repair. My wife spotted Seth Motors on Main Street. The manager at Seth Motors said it sounds like an alternator needs replacing. He told us he was booked for the afternoon, but he would try to fit us in, and checked availability of parts while we were standing there. He suggested a couple of places we could get lunch within walking distance, so we went to lunch. At lunch we talked about having to call Uber for a ride to our motel, or my wife's conference. What if they couldn't get parts until Monday? After lunch we walked back to Seth Motors. "All done" said the manager. They had adjusted the schedule with another car that had a parts issue and fixed ours right away. He was very helpful, fast, and the work was good. I took my truck in for getting my brakes looked at since Planned on towing with it. I said put on the best brakes you can. They looked it over and said my front disks had 7 mm and were good and my rear had plenty of brake shoe life left but were way out of adjustment. They adjusted my brakes and advised me to go with what I had. Super grateful they saved me money. Honest people. read more

If I could rate them with a minus 1 star I would. I brought my Honda in for a diagnostic when I noticed my car was leaking oil and was told it was valve cover gaskets, and two other repairs. Set an appointment, he didn't complete all the work and didn't even have the courtesy to call to tell me. When I arrived he had attitude. Week later car still leaking tells me he power washed the engine to remove excess oil on engine. What the heck he didn't even put it on the lift to check it out. Brought it back, now he states it's something else and wants to charge me another diagnostic fee!!! He's gue when I questioned him he yelled at me calling me a liar and told me to leave and not come back. Like I would..,he is a rip off and can not be TRUSTED. Let me paint you a picture: my husband had been out of town fighting the wildfires for 18 days, which meant I was home with our 2.5 year old, 10 month old while working full time and 12 weeks pregnant. Doable but I won't lie.... stressful. On day 18, I dropped my kids off at the nanny and jumped in my car to rush home to make my 9am meeting to kick off the work day before picking up my kids to drive to the west side / over the mountains for the weekend--- my car started, but the shifter would not leave Park. [enter swearword] After trying everything for 10 minutes, I used the manual to figure out how to override the shifter and was able to get home. I called Chad at Seth Motors and they told me what they thought might be the issue- I dropped my car off 45 minutes later and they told me that they had appointments all day so they couldn't guarantee anything... fingers crossed.... Long story short, two hours later I got a call from Justin and Chad explaining what was wrong and that my car was not only fixed, but ready for pick up!! Honest and reliable place. I towed my daughter's vehicle to Seth and spoke with Chad about the issue with her car. Chad figure out the problem and suggested to try it before going through the diagnostic process. Well..he was right and problem was no gas in the tank. If any other mechanic, I feel they would've make up some BS and charge you like crazy. I live in Kent any my daughter goes to school at Central. Turned away my business in a hurry because "they dont really do foreign vehicles", which I found odd because they advertise for foreign repairs... Its on their sign above their business even... However, before turning away my business, the guy behind the counter was sure quick to quote me and make it clear they charge $90.00 per hour for labor. do NOT take your vehicle here! they do poor work and are not honest! i recently spent $2,500 in 8 months trying to get one issue resolved. I had my vehicle in their shop SIX times, then they asked for more, and never fixed the problem! i hope my encounter with this business saves someone else the time and money that they have cost me. I asked them to do a compression test to check the head gasket at the beginning. They kept suggesting that I fix the symptoms (which cost me a lot of $$ along the way), and never diagnosed the real issue until it was too late. When this event happened, I asked Seth Motors if they would do a discount since I had been a loyal customer who spent quite a bit of money at their shop, and there seemed to be a diagnostic error. I had trusted them up to this point. I had taken my vehicle to them because I wanted it to be safe and reliable. If they could not work something out, I would have to go to another mechanic. They told me "sorry you feel that way." Then Justin (owner) sent me several angry emails riddled with spelling errors telling me to 'quit wasting his time'.
