Paul was our instructor and he was so helpful in creating a choreographed routine for our song and preparing us for the big day. He recommended classes 1-2x per week leading up to our wedding which was a good schedule. With lots of practice in between lessons we were able to keep up with the learning and it was a big success! Paul was really great in assessing our dance capabilities (as neither of us have a background in dance), and creating a routine that was suited to our level. I appreciated the time he took with each of us to make sure we had our steps down. He was very kind and flexible as were all the staff at the studio. We even stopped by to practice on the hardwood floors when we didn't have a lesson scheduled and they were kind enough to let us play our music overhead on the speakers. This is a great studio for anyone learning a wedding dance or looking for dance lessons in general. When we have some more time we are thinking of going back for Jiving lessons!

The band played without her and we were left without any way to replace the vocalist as there was no heads up. We were extremely disappointed that we missed out on having a vocalist at our wedding and robbed of that opportunity. Until now, we are getting invoices from Tianna Hall and Jazz band requesting remainder of payment. Rather than apologize for ruining a moment of our wedding which we planned for months, and embarrassing us in front of our guests, this company continues to invoice us with rude messages. They are not reliable and do not have a grasp on appropriate customer service. Incredibly disappointing. Will never book again or recommend to anyone.

That said, I still had a great time overall thanks to the entertainment. If you're going for the laughs, it's worth it--just don't go for the food.

Tickets were on the pricier end especially since it was a Thursday night, but not a big deal. The workers were friendly, and the seats were EXTREMELY comfortable & cushy... I still think about them to this day... I also thought it was nice how movie viewers could order food and the workers would come serve it on a platter! I'm not too familiar with any deals or memberships that the River Oaks Theatre may have compared to its big name competitors, but I highly recommend everyone to experience a film here at least once! Also there is ample parking nearby, but can't speak on it too much since I was dropped off.

I have removed 1 star due to the unfortunate experience I had via their expensive hotdog. This is a warning to everyone here.. the banh mi hotdog tastes like a**. omgagod... it literally tastes like evil. I have never had anything like it, and I've eaten at dozens of Vietnamese restaurants in my life. It's not only the pickled veggies on it that seemed to have marinated in something really awful, but it's the weird smoked? flavor given to the hotdog. I considered sending it back but opted to just make the best of the movie. Do you like the hotdog? If so I'd like you to post an opposing review because I can't imagine someone enjoying it. And since I am here... I get the gratuity is included but the wait staff never came back to clear dishes, and maybe it's because they will only come if you press the button? If that's the case it was not communicated to us, and when the wait staff went by us to serve our neighbors maybe it would be a good practice to check in quickly with other people in the row while they're there? Parking is abundant and easy ingress and egress was no problem. The Staff. Amazingly accommodating and Friendly. They helped us to our seats and were quite knowledgeable. Top marks. The Venue Part Deux. There are signs a-Plenty stating no food or drink in the venue. Until it is noted the drinks must remain closed a-la purchased drinks at the bar which come with a closeable top or bottles that may be again... brought with you and closeable. You can still bring your own in...but for a whopping $90 for 2 adult beverages, kid beverages, and waters at the beginning and pre order for intermission...you could have just brought in your closeable water bottle and saved the cost. This is like handing you the keys to an Aston but told not to drive it off the lot. Understandable for spillage, but not well explained. The production and sound were second to none. The only niggle I had were the inexperienced show goers behind us who continually dialogued what came next via the book, how it did not correspond to the movie, and continually picked at it. I cannot control other people...but do stay home or keep like a church mouse like the rest of us while the production was in course. I guess money can buy your way in but not common decency no matter your age bracket/demographic/wealth status. Again out of my control, so I will not hold it against the theatre. Overall. Yes. I also resonated with the positive, uplifting messaging that they are on a mission to spread through the plays - keeping it family friendly and wholesome. My family got to watch Narnia: The Musical, and we enjoyed it! Despite some technical difficulties, the musical as a whole was great! The actors are talented and up-and-coming. We had great seats and it was so engaging to watch their expressions. If I remember correctly, the seats aren't overly expensive! The interior if the building is quite nice, with long, glass chandeliers, and they currently have a Christmas tree up. Plenty of free parking. Would highly recommend for families, couples, or really anyone that would like to see a play without breaking the bank.

Sunday 10/18/15 One of the most magical and amazing shows…read moreI've been to in a LONG time. I grew up watching the movie and reading the books of Peter Pan and it's a classic. I'm so glad that the Society for Performing Arts decided to do a show on Peter Pan. My heart started to get all big and warm and I was smiling the entire time. Every scene brought back so many memories. The actors were great and the show was fantastic. I was sitting next to a toddler and I couldn't help but laugh because with the crazy scenes, the kid was at the edge of his seat. I couldn't stop smiling. Parking is tricky. It's $15 at the lot. There's street parking but you'll be walking far. The place was a little hard to get to, because of the direct address. Make sure you go to the tent that's DIRECTLY in front of the freeway, otherwise the GPS will take you BEHIND a building. A friend and I found cheap tickets through Living Social. Way cheaper than Groupon and walk-in ticket sales. Make sure to go while the show is going on!

Parking here is quite difficult, and often people park parallel opposite of the theater. They will be moving locations soon to somewhere more scalable, which is very exciting! Seats are very intimate, with the front row being feet away from the actors. Every play I've seen here has been very entertaining and the volunteer cast members are clearly dedicated!
