I came from Seattle to Tucson for work and decided to try Session Yoga studio. The studio is beautiful and clean. I took evening class with Leah and it was an amazing class. I will practice here again for my business trip. =) read more

Favorite yoga studio in Tucson! Front desk is always smiling and welcoming, studio is clean and the space is beautiful! Best to show up early as the classes can get pretty crowded. Always a good sweaty flow :) read more

Signed up for the Yoga 60 with Dove and paid online{saves time so you can immediately set up your yoga spot once you arrive instead of checking in and paying}. Class went by fast and it was like a hot yoga class. So bring water and a towel. If you forget to bring a yoga mat and towel, there are some available for rent. The door is locked once class starts so make sure you come early. Class gets packed quickly too And parking is a little tricky. Had so much fun! read more

I went to yoga at this studio nearly every day for a few months now! I truly enjoyed each and every class. The classes were gentle yet challenging. The instructors all featured that great "spiritual guidance" that I crave in yoga, while offering helpful advice regarding alignment. The aroma-therapy is wonderful too. I always look forward to the welcoming scents in the studio. Definitely check out this studio if you're interested in heated yoga! I especially recommend the Saturday 90-minute yoga class if you enjoy receiving alignment help. read more

This place is great! Good energy, great people. Check it out and you'll fall in love!

Session is the best! Everyone is super friendly and kind and the classes will push you - it is a true Power Yoga Studio so be ready for a great workout and sweat session. Love love love session. read more

Wonderful teachers good energy vibes and healing

This is my favorite yoga studio, hands down. I have favorite instructors, but to be honest, you can't go wrong with anyone here. I know hot yoga can be intimidating for some, but the music, positive vibes, and interesting flows will make you enjoy the sweat. Plus, if you are like me and started yoga to fix a flexibility block--the heat really helps you loosen up. They just added some early morning classes to make it easier to get your sweat on before work, school, and life starts getting demanding! read more

Fantastic studio without the high prices. It was challenging but not exhausting and both my mind and body got a fantastic workout. I would have liked hands on adjustments and felt the studio was a bit cold. read more

EXCELLENT studio, vibe and teachers. Chelsea and Jes are FANTASTIC... Highly recommended.

I love this place! I have attended numerous classes with different instructors and I love the way Leah B teaches class. If she sees that you are not understanding her direction on the moves, she will quietly and kindly come to you and show you the move instead of ignoring you. I really do get a work out! I just wish Leah could teach later classes instead of mornings so I could attend more! Way to go, Leah B!!! read more

session yoga has consistently provided me with extraordinary experiences! Jess, Chelsea, dove and Natalie have always orchestrated varied and exciting classes leaving me to feel rewarded and thankful that I went to session! I won't recommend any other studio! read more

I've been to Session Yoga on and off for the last 3 years and really enjoy it. Nearly all the teachers are good, laidback & very friendly. Over the last few years, I would only make a few suggestions: Please don't apply essential oils to people in the studio, without asking, as some people have allergies or sensitive skin. Please consider not allowing pets in yoga class. I have dog/cat allergies, as do others, so it could harm others health to bring dog/cat hair into class, as well as the possibility of an animal biting or clawing someone. Please ask if it's ok to touch someone before trying to adjust someone's body/pose. Some teachers ask but some do not. Some of us have injuries which make certain poses painful/damaging to our body & it is better to ask first. read more

Finding the right yoga studio is a unique experience to every individual. However, everyone is looking for a few key things in a studio: good teachers, convenient class times, and a good workout. Session yoga has fun and talented teachers. They are encouraging and non-judgemental and often remind us that we should honor what's right for our body every day. They are always available to answer questions and demonstrate poses. They often give modified options so beginners and advanced practitioners are both happy during the same class. They have classes 7 days a week. On weekdays, they have super early classes, they have a 10am class and a 6pm class which is perfect for right after work. On weekends, you can catch one of two morning ish classes. In addition to a variety of class times, they also have different class lengths-60 min, 75 min and 90 min classes There is no doubt that you will get a good workout whether you're there for an hour or 90 minutes. They keep the studio heated and add humidity. They utilize the power yoga philosophy so the pace is quicker and the focus is on breathing with movement. It can be repetitive in the beginning during the warm up but the connection you feel with your breath is a good trade off. There are no mirrors in this studio, which I love, and it is a genuinely cozy and warm space in a nice and central location. read more

Fast paced yet calm and easy to follow. A great workout and unique experience with a very friendly staff. Seeing as how this was my 1st yoga experience I was apprehensive, but I enjoyed the class so much that it is now part of my tucson routine. read more

60 minute class was perfect for this visiting yogi. the studio was great, the class was just what i needed and Chelsea was FANTASTIC.. whether you live in Tucson or are visiting - make this your home studio. Very friendly and welcoming. read more

I have been searching for a good hot yoga studio out here in Tucson. Sessions was one of the first I tried and I'm glad I did. Compared to other studios out here in Tucson Sessions was one of the better ones. The only major Con is the locker situation, but I think that was just the restriction of the size of the place. The price and atmosphere is great especially for a college student. I would recommend this place to anyone of any level. read more

I really enjoyed this studio! I have been to many hot power yoga studios and this was definitely one of my favorites. Staff were helpful, drop-in class rate was cheap, and the studio was clean and very zen. The classes are definitely made for beginners and practiced yogis alike. The instructor was very in-tune to what the skill levels were and how to adjust them. My *only* complaint is I wish the room was a big warmer...again, I went to a 60 min class which is probably geared more towards beginners, but when I go to hot yoga I want to be hot and miserable, but that's just me. Definitely will be going again! read more

The first thing I did when I moved to Tucson was find a yoga studio. Session was the first place I tried and I haven't been to any others in town since. It is an intense, hot, fast paced workout and the instructors guide you and support you through it all. It doesn't matter who is teaching, you know you'll get an amazing time on your mat. Everyone there is so welcoming and kind, it's been a saving grace being new in the city. Session is my happy place after work and on the weekends. This place is a true gem and an amazing community of people in Tucson. read more

I am truly blessed and grateful to have found this studio and loving community know as Session Yoga. I will never be able to put into words the amazing feeling that happens when you simply walk into their doors. There is love and support for every person... New? Wanna try it out? Go!!! Chelsea, Kristin and all the fellow Session staff are warm, inviting and kind. No one judges, no crazy yogis, you're always greeted with warm and loving smiles from everyone. It's my safe haven, my "reset" to a bad day. You are my heart and soul session. Thank you... I love you... read more

I love Session Yoga! Great teachers, clean areas, and a welcoming atmosphere.

I can honestly say the class I took at Session Yoga was the WORST class I have taken in my 30 years of Yoga practice. There was absolutely no mention of Breath, of quieting the mind, of connection of body, mind, spirit. It was full on rigorous, physical repetitions accompanied by terrible loud pop music. There was no adjustments or corrections and as I looked around the room I noticed most of the students doing the poses incorrectly. Very damaging to the joints and body. Yikes! Apart from this it was 98 degrees inside and very stinky. I was saddened that this class was named YOGA. As yoga to me is SACRED. Call it BOOTCAMP, or CALISTHENICS. but not YOGA please. It certainly was not worth $8 dollars! read more

Session is the best yoga studio in Tucson! I've practiced yoga on/off for about 8 years, with large gaps in between at times. After having a blast at the rooftop yoga rave (led by the amazing Chelsea and Kristin) last Sept 2013, I was convinced to try out this studio. I quickly became addicted to the classes, atmosphere/music and the best energetic/unique instructors. The vinyasa flow is very strengthening and sweaty, but at the same time, I'm always able to escape from my stresses. Since then, I've made it a priority to practice yoga at least twice a week, which has been very beneficial to my running and road cycling. I would go here more often if I didn't live/work in Marana (about 30-45min commute with awful traffic). The evening classes fill up quickly and fortunately Session has added more classes (though they need more). I love all of the workshops I've attended so far (especially yoga bootcamp) and look forward to more. In the future, I would love to dedicate myself to their teacher training. Lastly, I love their involvement with the Tucson community, including their karma class (dedicated to a different charity every month) and spectacular yoga raves (supporting The Above and Beyond Children's Foundation). read more

The studio is clean and had fun decor. Denese was a great instructor. Helped everyone when/if needed and gave fairly clear direction. it was a my first "hot yoga" class and I was told later that the studio being at 85 degrees isn't even considered "hot". yikes! It was hot enough for me. make sure to bring a towel (or 2) and plenty of water. everyone was completely sweated through. good workout though - you'll feel very bendy by the end! read more

As a certified yoga instructor and an experienced Baptiste yoga student, I can say that this studio is going to do more harm than good in the long run. There are no adjustments just a cold, military-like command exercise session. Safety and caution are not part of the regiment here. There is no connection between breath and movement, or at the least it is not emphasized, which is what the term "yoga" means. If you want an intense exercise program that could involve serious injury, then this is the place for you. If you want to experience yoga as it was meant to be, please run from this studio. As sweet and athletic as Chelsea is, I am disappointed in her studio. read more

I was a bit nervous to attend because from the charm and professionalism of the studio, I thought....oh man I am not for this. But as I learned, that was not the case. As a sorta beginner, I saw people standing on their heads and doing a lot of physically impressive stances that I couldn't do with a two people holding me in place. But luckily, my instructors never made that the focus of the session. Instead they focused on the idea of this being practice and to ultimately take this time to take care of our bodies. Although sounding a bit hokey (I think because I am not articulate and can't express it well) I think it really takes you away from the mindset that you are in a room of other people who can do fantastical moves. Instead, you begin to center on yourself and your strengths and ability. Though of course the first time I hustled and dehydrated in an attempt to "keep up" - I highly discourage that for beginners! But once I continued to go, I really got into my own groove. This is definitely in large part to the instructors being completely level and present with you during the experience. Even though the room could potentially be packed with people ( i was in a session like that...oh the feet smell) you still feel like the instructor is with you through the hour. I am an easily shamed person ( but you can read that when I review my therapist) and never once did I feel like the instructors thought less of me as a practitioner based on my low experience and bad forms. In actuality they seemed genuinely happy that I was participating and proud when I made improvement. So the following times I attended, I became more comfortable which allowed me to think less about what others are doing and focus on myself. That is the real beauty and awesomeness that makes Session Yoga a great place to go. p.s. about the comment regarding Lululemon. I walk in their in some 4 yo old navy shorts and cute tank I got from JC Penny on sale and I still felt fabulous. read more

The best yoga studio I've been to. Every instructor is wonderful -- each with their own unique style while still keeping to a sufficiently consistent format. Also relatively affordable compared to other places around town. I adore this studio and the fabulous people who run it. read more

Just... no. I mean, the girls are running an interesting place - they seem to know the basics but I'm not a fan of the mixed messages this place sends. Hindu and Buddhist sculptures and 'art' with instrumental versions of 'popular' radio hits like Rhianna, Miley Cyrus, etc... it'd be one thing if they practiced either of those religions, I can't say if anyone does or doesn't but I think it's odd to confuse them as the same thing. It's not my place to comment on anyone else's reasons for being there but it is definitely not a place I'd go to twice. read more

Session Yoga is a wonderful community in Tucson that I am so glad to be apart of. The support of not only the teachers but the students as well is so encouraging. Session Yoga will always be one of my favorite studios. read more

Being a guy in yoga I expected a certain amount of judgment. I never expected the instructors to talk crap about me while i was in the other room. My last day there i did not have a good experience because the substitute teacher had a different teaching style so I left a few minutes early. Two day later the owner sends me an email saying that she didn't want me to come back. I have never been treated so poorly for doing nothing wrong. read more

I have been to several yoga studios around Tucson and Session Yoga is THE BEST! I have never done power vinyasa before so I was a little nervous but the teachers and everyone who goes is so friendly. The sense of community at Session is in-describable. Once you start going, and knowing the teachers by name, you just fall into the place. I love Session and hope for nothing but great things for them in the future. read more
