Disappointment and frustration doesn't even begin to describe how horrible of an experience this wedding ordeal has been. In the beginning everything was moving along nicely. I took awhile to decide but moved forward with my intended wedding date, I had a make up and hair trial that was decent at best and was charged $120- my mother and I sat down and negotiated with Maggie on the details of my wedding day, everything was verbally agreed upon and we were set to put a deposit down at the end of this month. I received a call two days ago out or the blue from Maggie apologizing and mumbling and she said someone else had taken my date. She kept apologizing but it sounded like straight bullshit , she explained that she had been out for wedding make up when some one came into their business and booked the same wedding date as I, and that there was nothing they could do. The most frustrating aspect of all this is that my wedding is 6 months away and this occurs. I was promised service for my wedding day and it was taken without any warning, I was more surprised as to why no note about my intended date was placed on their calendar. That in itself was disrespectful, if I obviously showed interest in working with their business atleast my name and wedding date could of been marked down as an interested party. Most vendors and businesses I've encountered atleast have a grace period or warning when another party is interested in the same date, the first holder is given an opportunity to either commit or let go of the event date. That did not happen. The lack of professionalism and common courtesy really disgusts me as it really shows how money has the greater value over reputation. I will not recommend any of my friends or family to this place unless you wish to be thrown on an emotional roller coaster . If I could I would give this 0 stars. Be warned brides to be. read more

We were in this nice studio four times, the first time was for information , the second time was for contract, Suzie and Ms. Hong Jie gave us a very good deal, because my husband really want to take photos in Napa Valley, so we decide spend two days to get pre-wedding photos, one day in San Francisco, and one day in Napa. Finally, we finished! Ms. Hong Jie is very nice, warm, friendly person, Suzie is our make up artiest, i really like her make up, it is simple, but very beautiful, Gary, haha, our photographer, he is a funny guy, he has many different ideas for photo shooting, and also he has patient. My husband and I had a very positive experience with Sese Group. The staff are very nice and helpful. Chloe, the makeup artist did a fantastic job and was very happy to listen to customer's need. The photographer, "Xiaozhi" was professional and very patient. It was the first time for my husband and I to take photos in SF City Hall and we didn't know how to pose and where to go, Xiaozhi kept popping up with good ideas. He even laid down on the ground to get the best angle possible. We are definitely very happy working with Xiaozhi and his colleagues. Be very careful if you are renting wedding gowns from this place. They told us that they wanted $150 cash to rent a gown we saw previously in the store. I brought $150 cash, but once I got in the store, they wanted $300, including $150 deposit. They claimed it was the company policy, and they didn't make it up. Well, I am fine with their company policy, but they should have been clear up front. Telling me something new a few hours before the wedding when we had no other choice is not professional, and having a company policy is no excuse. You wouldn't want this kind of stress and surprise for your wedding. read more

My wife and I have a great experience with Memory Photo Gallery. They did a great job explaining all their photo shooting package and showing us samples of their products. They help us took our engagement photos. The photo shooting was made in April. Many of the location we selected for taking photo were crowded with other couples who is also taking their engagement photo. Nevertheless, Jay and Maggie was still able to make the whole experience a smooth one. They are familiar with the locations and were able to take good photos while avoiding to have other people gotten into our photo's background. My wife and I are very satisfied with the services received from and products by Memory Photo Gallery (MPG), and we believe our actions speak louder than words: we actually hired MPG twice for our wedding pictures. We are certainly pleased to work with the wonderful MPG team consisting of the photographer, wedding dress consultant, makeup and hair stylist and the manager whom we highly recommend to you if you are now considering wedding photography. We had the traditional posed-style photography, and Gary was our photographer or what I call "a man of few words." I don't know much about photography, but don't let his taciturnity fool you. We find that Gary is quite attuned to the environment. I still remember when we chose the site at Queen Wilhelmina Tulip Garden (the only outdoor setting in San Francisco still showcasing colorful flowers in fall season per my lovely wife's request), Gary took a good amount of time walking around the area by himself and "feeling out" the garden before starting to take our pictures. And as the pictures turn out, Gary was remarkably skillful and intuitive in executing each shot and capturing the moments. Boy! Gary really knows how to use the natural light: our pictures are warm and filled with various emotions from anticipation to exhilaration to good ol' love! Though we find this amusing, when we were on the way to our next setting, Gary suddenly asked to stop the van and found a wooded area in Golden Gate Park (Wait a minute, it's not what you are thinking!!) and took a few shots, and the pictures again turn out to be quite extraordinary in a way that my wife's and my excitement glows and stands out in a less animate background. Gary's photography instinct certainly reflects his degree of receptiveness and acclimation, as well as his high standard. We are happy with Gary's services! Winnie and Susie were my wife's wedding gown consultants. Well, even though my wife didn't have a whole lot of experience in choosing the right dress to begin with, they were very patient and knowledgeable in her selection process: giving constructive feedback and helping my wife try out tens (if not dozens) of dresses before finalizing the "Three" according to our package. When we finished our two photoshoots, Winnie was instrumental in giving us ideas on choosing the single picture out of so many pretty ones for our framed portrait. She was also very good at following up on our selections in order to make sure our order fell within the timeframe of production! (Yay! Both the crystal cover flush mount album and the portrait came just in time before Chinese New Year!) We are delighted with Winnie's services! Susie was my wife's makeup and hair stylist at both times. I can't speak for my wife, and I am no expert in professional cosmetology. But based on my observation of my wife's process, Susie was well prepared (Take a look of her makeup case!) and very detailed-oriented. My wife's maquillage and hair setting took at least two hours on both occasions. Susie meticulously worked her magic on my wife and transformed her into an even more amazingly looking lady. (For the record, I should say my wife is already charming beforehand!) We are thrilled with Susie's services! Last but not least, Cindy whom I believe is the gallery manager has been very friendly and welcoming to us since day one when my wife and I entered the shop for inquiry of their packages. She was very caring, personable, open and thorough, as she made sure that we were well informed about the details of the package of our choice. She respected the fact that we needed time to think through our options before making the decision. I remember when I was overly worried about the picture-taking process (i.e., photography permit, weather condition, etc.), she took the time to especially explain it to me and to calm my nerves. Needless to say, the whole process of photography on both occasions went rather smoothly, and the pictures came out to be stunning! We are grateful for Cindy's services! Overall, both my wife and I are contented with the services and products by MPG. As the name of this gallery indicates, our experience with MPG has surely created many unforgettable memories before and on our wedding. I was going to write a review when I'm done with the whole experience. But so far the experience is so so good therefore I will share it with people who are looking for a excellent customer service and a excellent photograper. I have been searching for a good photographer for a while since I am a girl that is really picky when it comes to pictures. As soon as I got engaged, I know that I need to plan my wedding and the first thing that comes to my mind is to find a good, really good photographer. I yelped a couple of places and talked to them but I found their pictures are not up to par as well as their service (which is a big thing for me). Memory Photo Gallery was introduced to me by my coworker. So I started to yelp them and they have really good reviews. I decided to make an appointment to see their pictures and pricing. When we came here for our appointment, we were greeted by June and Maggie. They are really friendly and nice and not to mentjon very professional. They both talked to us and showed us the pricing of their packages. They have quite a few different packages which is a good because if you're a person with a budget then one of these packages will suit you. Before coming here, I didn't know what is a one-stop wedding shop is. LOL. Memory photo gallery is a one-stop shop. They do everything from photography, videography, flowers arrangement, backdrop for pictures and etc. My fiancee and I decided to go for the 2 days package which include one day of engagement (3 locations) and one full day (10hrs) on the day of our wedding. Engagement photo included albums, scroll, and crsytal display which most people will need on their big day. OK. Now on to the engagement pictures that Jay, the photographer, took for us. My fiancee and I chose to go to Napa, the castle, to take our engagement pictures because I wanted the magical feelings. And plus I didn't want to go to the famous places in SF to take pictures. Jay is really friendly and nice. Jay made my fiancee feels at ease in front of the camera. He helped us with the poses and everything. Maggie has some input into our posing as well. I like how they work together as a team to make sure everything is good and make me and my fiancee look good. During the shoot, there were some poses in my opinion were quite awkward and I was so scared that the pictures would come out not the way I wanted it to. But to my surprise, all for our pictures came out BEAUTIFULLY. Jay has captured the right moment, angle, and lighting which will make your pictures so beautiful. Jay has many many years of experience with photography so he knows what he is doing. I completely trust him with his keen eyes. Jay even captured at the right moment where my fiancee smiled! (he doesn't really like to smile that much lol). And I love every one of them! I wish I could have all of the pictures but our package only lets us pick 35 pictures. But that was more than enough for us. OMG! Maggie is so creative and talented! I picked a yellow dress as my second outfit. It was just a plain dress with no bling bling on it whatsoever. Maggie sewed straps to the dress and also added some accessories onto the straps which goes so well with the dress! I hesitated when she asked me if I wanted to do it but then I said to myself, what the heck, it's time to try something new (as I am a girl who likes plain stuffs). And I love it! This made the dress stand out even more. Maggie is also a make up artist. I like the way she did my make up because it look very natural which is exactly what I want. I am really picky when it comes to make up because I don't want it to look over done but I totally trust Maggie with it. I can't wait to see what she has for me on my wedding day! Overall, from what I experienced, they are really professional, friendly and easy to work with. They would follow up with you throughout the whole process. Their customer service is excellent because they remember every couples name that they work with. They are also very responsive. In the end, I also book them for videography! My husband and I really enjoyed working with the folks at MPG! Engagement photos were a big deal for us, and we have been planning for it for a long time. We really wanted to make sure that all the details are taken care of and that the quality is high. MPG met our expectations in that area. From the introductory first meeting to the final photo selection process, everything was very smooth, timely, and transparent. MPG is not cheap, but this is a once in life time deal for most people so quality and service is obviously very important. The makeup artist, Lisa, gave me a beautiful look on the day of the photo shoot. Ming, the photographer, is very encouraging and fun to work with. Everything was done professionally. I hired Memory Photo Gallery to do my engagement pictures and I still wish they could have helped us on our wedding day, but unfortunately they were already booked on our wedding day even though we tried to engage them almost EIGHT months before our wedding (which kinda says how good/popular they are in the bay area). Maggie did a fantastic job on makeup an hairdo, and I can tell she's a real pro in bridal makeup/hair. She would not do the so called 'standard' one for every bride, instead, she will first communicate with me to see how/what I want and every time she just exceeds my expectations. Her work totally transformed me to a princess-like bride and all my friends and family are amazed by her works. We tried 3 different styles for our pics and all came out so perfect! And of course, this would not be possible without the marvelous work of Jay, our photographer. Again, another pro in the house who truly knows how to make the engagement pictures a memorial moments for the couples. My only complaint was that it took me hours to pick out the pics to be included in the albums and the pictures are just too good to let go!!! We also hired them for the wedding day decor. June did a great job on our big day and we had a lot of positive feedbacks from our guests.
