Our water heater broke and flooded our entire first floor and basement. My carpets and hardwood…read morefloors were soaked. When we called their office we got their answering service (it was after 6pm) the answering service lady was so nice she called the owner on his cell phone to let him know an urgent call was coming his way. They called back in 3 minutes. A crew showed up an hour later and started to wet vacuum the water before they even brought up the paperwork. They explained their estimate and told me they would give me a written bill with pictures for my insurance company. They came every day to monitor the progress of the work and 4 days later it was all dry. They saved my carpet AND my Hardwood floors. They will need to be refinished but at least not the hassle of replacing them. The adjuster told me their paperwork was very detailed but he could not allow for 1 item on their bill (an air scrubber he called it). I figured i would have to pay out of pocket for it. When i called the owner he laughed and told me to not worry about it that he would remove the item from his bill. I would recommend highly. I hope i do not have to use them again (no more floods please).

Had a terrible experience with Luis Midon the owner of 5 Star Cleaning this past Saturday. They…read morewere supposed to come over to clean my basement on Saturday at 8a. I venomed the deposit the previous evening to Luis and texted him the next day at 7am to let him know that the basement door was unlocked so that the cleaners can come through the back entrance. At 8:45a the cleaners still hadn't showed up so I texted Luis back asking where they were. At 9:15a I gave Luis a call and left a voicemail. At that point, I'm thinking maybe I got scammed so I texted my friend who had originally referred me to Luis, to see if this is normal for this person. At approximately 12:45p (almost six hours from my first text in the morning), Luis finally calls me back and gives me an attitude and tells me that he didn't appreciate that I had contacted my friend earlier to ask about him and because we paid the deposit so late the previous night (we paid him at 11:30p) he didn't schedule his staff for the day and that he doesn't want my business and abruptly hangs up on me. Luis did pay the deposit back right way; however, his rude phone call was highly unprofessional. I should note that I informed him the previous day of the cleaning that because I was running around the city that the deposit wouldn't be paid until later in the evening when I got home. And I do understand that there may have been a mix up, and that is ok. Had he responded back to me in a timely manner that day to explain the situation, we could have rescheduled, with no problem at all. But the fact that he waits almost 6 hours to get back to me and proceeds to berate me in a rude and vicious tone is absolutely uncalled for.

This is a formidable task just to have the staff to do in two days, to say nothing of doing it well. The phrase "far exceeds expectations" somehow doesn't convey how exceptional and through this service is. They diligently cleaned everything - lighting fixtures, floors, crawl spaces with the air conditioning ducts, in deep recesses of closets, each fireplace, things that possibly were never cleaned or certainly never cleaned as well. The floors were waxed and they came with fans and blowers to dry them. When I showed pictures to my family, the phrase "oh wow!" was the always the first utterance. Room after room, feature after feature, just shined and glowed. The house sparkled. It isn't inexpensive, but it is truly money well spent. Any issues or problems were addressed immediately. They truly live up to the name Five Star. A service without hesitation I recommend highly.

They recommended a mold testing person who charged me $500 to take an air quality sample test that said my air was perfectly clean. Well a month later I find the mold in my airducts. The guy they recommended is a scammer. Told me some story about his kid having mold and clearly saw I had air purifiers running and decided to take air quality samples right next to them.... I didn't actually use servpro they seemed like nice people but 2 stars for recommending a loser mold tester who doesn't know air purifiers must be off for 24-48 hours before air quality testing.

Here's the thing with Serv-Pro... If you call them for anything there's a 99% you are already…read moremiserable. So these poor bastards have to service people who are in terrible mood... Every... Single... Time. My situation was no different... Specifically, I had a sewage pipe burst in my basement on the morning of Mother's Day. And This was only about a week after we moved into our new house. My whole family was sitting at our dining room table for a feast I made for my wife when one of my kids noticed looked down our staircase and noticed there was water on the floor in the basement. I went downstairs and there was a lot more than water... There was water, urine, and feces. I was so disappointed, disgusted, and somewhat incensed, so I called ServPro, explained my dilemma, and basically asked them to make everything better. And that is exactly what they did. They sent a team of three men to my house, and they were polite, and efficient, and quick, and everything I was hoping they would be. They left industrial de-humidifiers running for a couple of days after they left, and when I went downstairs 2 days later, my literal "sh!tshow" was remedied. The took away everything that was damaged, they disinfected everything they left behind, and they walked me through how I could go through insurance, if I chose to do it... Which I did... And my insurance company seemed relieved that I used professionals like ServPro to help me with my problem. So here's my point: If you are calling ServPro, chances are you are screwed. But I can assure you that the people who work at ServPro have seen it all and they are uniquely qualified to get you out of whatever pickle you may find yourself in. I will never use anyone else (but I hope I will never need them again). 10 out of 10 from me, or five stars, or thumbs-up... Whatever floats your boat. -Large PS- I was going to post before-and-after pics, but the befores all had feces in them, and I don't want to be known as "that guy" who posts bodily functions on the internet.

A family member recommended Certified Carpet Management and I called them immediately. I do not live in New Jersey and I had to manage clean-up for my Mom from Florida. I cannot express how excellent their service was. They went to work quickly, efficiently and professionally. They assigned a contact person to me on day one, Christina Torlish. She was always accessible to me anytime of the day or night. She was my eyes and ears for me as I could not be physically there to help. She went above and beyond her duties to help with the clean-up. She even worked with me to help better understand the FEMA adjustment claim I had to make. I inspected the clean-up three months later and it was done to perfection! There was no evidence of any moisture or mildew. I would definitely recommend CCM if you ever have a water situation and want the area cleaned up to perfection.
