I've been a longtime customer, and Service Tire is the best. Russ offers great service and great prices.

This place consistently takes care of all auto problems at a good price. They explain everything…read moreand they fix everything. We go there for all repairs, maintenance, tires and batteries. You can trust the staff and the work.

I am extremely disappointed and concerned about the way my vehicle was handled by this shop…read more A month ago, my car showed sensor warning lights, so I specifically brought it in to make sure the vehicle was SAFE to drive. At that time, I had absolutely NO brake issues whatsoever. My brakes were working fine before bringing my car to this shop. After a test drive, I was told to first get an oil change elsewhere because they had no openings that day, and then return for diagnostics regarding the sensor lights. We followed their instructions exactly and returned the car. I paid $517.06 for repairs that included fixing broken wiring to the right front wheel and replacing the front wheel ABS speed sensor. I was also told the ABS module was bad and expensive to replace, but Liz clearly told me that replacing the module was NOT necessary and that the car would still be safe to drive as long as the dashboard lights did not bother me. I even asked again, in front of a witness, if the car would be safe after the repairs, and I was reassured that it would be. Only TWO WEEKS later, my brakes completely failed while driving. The car would barely stop. We immediately brought it back to the shop. They kept the car for days and then charged us another $1,871.48 for brake repairs, including calipers, rotors, pads, brake lines, and the master cylinder. After continuing to have issues, they kept the car again for over two additional weeks and charged us another $187.62. In total, we paid $2,576.16 When we When we contacted the shop, instead of taking responsibility, they attempted to blame us and claimed they had warned us about the ABS module causing brake failure -- which is absolutely NOT what we were told originally. They even added wording to the receipt claiming we ACKNOWLEDGED that the brake system could fail without replacing the module. What they did not know is that I recorded the conversation where we were specifically told the car would still be safe to drive without replacing the module. I specifically explained that icdidnt want to put mlney if it was too expensive but ehat they y did not know is that I recorded the conversation where we were specifically told the car would still be safe to drive without replacing the module. Throughout this entire process, we were repeatedly told "they are working on it," while being left without answers, without reliable transportation, and paying thousands of dollars for repairs that still did not fix the problem. This experience has been stressful, expensive, and honestly terrifying. Brake failure is not a minor issue -- it puts lives at risk. I strongly encourage others to ask questions, document everything, and get second opinions before trusting major safety repairs here.

Went here when K&S tire couldn't come up with tires for my 36 street rod that weren't 4 years old…read more Met Jim and he had the tires the next day. He took great care doing it with floor jacks one wheel at a time. Great prices and a great guy. My new place for tires.

I think it's fair to say that no one likes to waste money or feel that they've been ripped off…read more While I have been going to Paul Wood for many years that's how I feel things went the last two times I brought my car here for non-tire service. Let me first say that by no means am I talking about what goes on here in regards to tires. Excellent pricing along with super fast service that is truly the best of the best. But then there's the other side of the business which is auto repair. Visit 1: I brought my car here telling them that I saw a leak under the car and that the temperature gauge was running high. They charged me over a hundred dollars to look at my radiator, add coolant then tell me there was no leak and that the issue was from me running the coolant too low. The problem with that theory was that the car continued to overheat the same day as it had been doing prior to my visit. In a vote of no confidence, I went to another shop that found the source of the problem (hole in the radiator) in less than five minutes. Visit 2: The tire pressure sensor light goes on. While getting an inspection done I ask them about how this could be fixed. I'm told that it can only be fixed at the dealership, they don't have the tools and that it would be well over a hundred dollars. Ironically, the same place that found/fixed the radiator leak also fixed the sensor issue for...twenty bucks. And there were other things like brake pads that needed replacing after less than ten thousand miles (no I don't drive for Uber or in NYC nor do I like doing hard stops for fun) which had never happened to me in my entire life. Overall this is still a great shop for tires and tire repair. Maybe the last few times were flukes. I don't know. What I do know is that anytime I need to pay twice to get something fixed it makes me very wary about coming back for potentially more of the same.
