He was great with my nosey dogs and explained each product he was using, what they did, and how they worked to fight the specific pest. He treated my house inside and out, and let me know that if I see any bug in 5 days to call and he'll come back out for free. The products were itemized on my receipt as a summary alone with his specific cell number. To top it off, they had a 30% off coupon via Yelp. They put a one way door and traps; said they would be back every couple of days. When they came back they asked if we heard any noise. Of course we said no, (We work all day & when we come home its dark; squirrels don't move around that much at night). They locked it up with a metal plate and took away the trap. Well guess what.... the Squirrel is still in there. It has been scratching around the metal plate causing HUGE damage in our roof .. and to make matters worse, the squirel decided to go on a road trip and now it has moved to the other side of the house- running up & down the walls! We bought more traps, called Critter control again & the tech said.. "IT should die soon!" (Tech didn't come out) He just told us to mark the wall so once it dies & the smell comes, we can cut it out!! Wait a min... WHAT!! Story gets better... very next day, Squirel scratched his way out of the walls & is now in the crawl space. Called Critter control again; left message. We decided to buy more traps, and a camera. the Squirrel walks up the camera and looks at it. We texted Critter Control showing them the footage - need someone out ASAP - they said they have no techs available. REMIND you this has been going on over a month Jan & FEB! We have now called a different company! We will never use you Critter Control again.

I received several responses mostly marketing their multi-month plans for rodent services and I responded to all. Of all the companies, only one stood out and that was DOA Pest control. Brian was the name of the representative I spoke with. When I explained my frustratingly ineffective efforts, he responded to me "Well let me give you some helpful pointers then". That phrase alone eased so much anxiety for me. Brian proceeded to have a text exchange with me where he patiently listened to my concerns and offered me both pointers on what I was doing wrong and tips to go about it a bit differently. So I heeded his advice, reset the traps and within 36 hours of this exchange *BAM* I caught the mouse. Cue Cece Peniston - Finally it has happened to me!(more like it has happened to that mouse) I want to be clear, I didn't actually hire this company, but DOA and Brian were absolutely essential to this outcome. I'd like to also point out that Brian was this helpful at after 9:00pm at night to a person who hadn't paid his company a dime. I am truly grateful for his patience and helpfulness. Hopefully, I won't need to contract his company in the future. But if I do, I will bypass all the other companies that spent their time trying to sell me a package I didn't need. Instead, if I see a rodent in my home, I am going to give DOA Pest Control a call immediately. If you have a rodent problem, I would humbly encourage you to do the same.
