I applied too much pressure and ended up cracking the water line inside the wall. Jerry Catania came out with his son and quickly diagnosed the problem. He cut a small, neat access opening in the garage wall to reach the leak, replaced the hose bib, and made sure all the new piping was securely fastened to the wall stud. The quality of his work was excellent, and it was obvious he takes pride in doing the job right. Jerry and his son arrived exactly on time, were friendly and professional throughout the job, and charged me a very fair price. You can immediately tell Jerry has years of experience and knows exactly what he's doing. If I ever need a plumber again, Catania and Sons Plumbing will be my first call. I highly recommend them.

When our hot water heater failed, Chance quickly assessed the issue by having our tenant send photos. He was able to determine that the leak was coming from the unit itself (not the pipes), which saved valuable time and avoided unnecessary delays. Although the initial installation timeline was about two days, I shared that our tenants have small children and asked if there was any chance for an earlier opening. They went above and beyond, contacting us the very next afternoon after they finished early for the day, and were able to complete the replacement ahead of schedule. Their pricing was transparent, the installation was efficient, and their communication was outstanding. We received updates via text, email, and phone. Michael sent a photo after the work was completed and also made it easy to handle payment remotely. Most importantly,I felt confident that they were taking great care of our tenants in our absence. He took several pictures, cited plumbing code, etc. I was relieved that we did not require a repair and that Francis and Pure Plumbing was so honest with me. Francis provided me with documentation of his findings that I can keep for my records and also provide to the realtors/buyers. To start, scheduling the appointment was easy and the office staff were attentive and professional…read more The company was running a $19 promotion for what was advertised as a coil cleaning and inspection service, which sounded like a great opportunity to have my mini-split system checked out. Unfortunately, my experience changed once the technician arrived. After discussing my concerns, only a very limited inspection was performed. The technician checked my refrigerant lines by hand and, during the process, tore part of the insulation covering the lines. The insulation was left damaged without being repaired, repositioned, or taped back together. I explained that I had recently cleaned the system myself and had been experiencing performance issues afterward. By the time of the appointment, the system had fortunately started operating normally again. Despite my concerns, the technician did not perform what I would consider a thorough inspection of either the outdoor unit or the indoor head unit. Several areas I asked about were dismissed with comments such as, "Don't worry about that, it doesn't need cleaning." When I later asked about replacement options and newer systems, the conversation quickly shifted toward sales estimates. I was quoted approximately $11,000 for a new ductless mini-split installation. While I understand labor, materials, permits, overhead, and warranties contribute to installation costs, the estimate seemed significantly higher than I expected. What confused me most was that the technician appeared far more interested in discussing replacement options than addressing the maintenance concerns I originally scheduled the appointment for. At the end of the visit, I was informed there would be a $19 charge. Assuming this was being collected before the advertised coil cleaning service was performed, I also provided a $20 tip. However, the technician then left without performing any coil cleaning service. In the end, I paid for a service call, had insulation on my system damaged, received very little troubleshooting or maintenance assistance, and never received the coil cleaning that was advertised and expected. I left the experience disappointed and feeling that my concerns were never properly addressed. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service.

But Kinetico LV now is trouble. The techs here are very knowledgeable and polite, trained by Bob B who had a lifelong career in LV water and solutions. But the office staff or manager are bad news. They do not supply the techs with lists of what chems etc Kinetico RO systems and filters remove and could not tell me how to obtain a list! Finally a tech mailed it to me. And Kinetico LV no longer have carbon copy receipts so though you sign and initial three pages of docs the company does not provide the techs a copy for the customer, you have to call the office. It took me weeks and multiple calls to get a copy of what I signed from the office staff - and we are not talking electronic, you sign paper and they will not give you a copy (which they had me wait two weeks for a tech's next appt to bring it to me!). Refusing to give customers a copy of your signature gives Kinetico LV the appearance to be in financial or legal trouble. The Kinetico Las Vegas office do not timely follow up nor return their messages and last time they failed to call to notify me of my appt time window. Ten days ago the tech identified the problem with my water softener, disconnected it and said the office would call me the next day, but no call, no solution. When I called the office today she had no idea what I was talking about and said she would have to check with the tech later today and call me back - the office staff treat the customers' service needs as a problem. I've not been unpleasant to them, just firm in my requests. You cannot get the name of nor talk to a manager, despite asking. I don't know if there is one and I don't know who the Sam J is replying to posts here. Again, the techs are good, but the office stands between them and you the customer. Kinetico Las Vegas has developed real problems. Though I soon need a new water softener because of the above I will have to reconsider purchasing from Kinetico LV. And by the way, when I called for my RO filters service appt they suggested I come in, get the filters and do it myself! This again is from a long time customer advising you of a change in Kinetico LV. Too, I will doubt the sincerity of any reply from them here unless they say "we value constructive criticism and we're fixing us" and then do so. I will post back.

We contacted Leo via Yelp, and received a response a short time later. Shortly afterwards, Leo came out to our home. He assessed the work, took some pictures and said his specialist can do the job, no problem. That should have been our first warning that Leo himself was not doing the work/repair and did not bring his specialist along for the initial review. He said, I'm an engineer and don't do that sort of work, but no problem he can do it, he'll make it look good, he's a specialist! We talked about how important it was to have our garage cabinets, tools, area where we have shoes and some outdoor furniture stored in the garage covered with plastic and that our newly done epoxy floor would need to be covered from the debris and dust. Leo said that they usually only cover the floor where the work would be done, his reply was it's a garage. We stressed in our conversation and also outlined in our response via text that it was important that it's covered if we hired him for the job. He agreed that it would be done. Later that evening he sent a message with the quote but did not send a contract or scope of work with his quote detailing the work (that should have been another red flag). So I responded with a message that specifically outlined our expectations of the job and what was to be done. He replied, yes everything outlined would be done. He then messaged me that his specialist would be at our home that following Thursday, which we agreed. Wednesday came around and Leo messaged us that his specialist was at another job previously and that he was doing such a great job, the client asked him to stay another day to do more work. He asked if he can come to us on Monday, we said no problem. He said he'd be there in the am on Monday, but would message us with the time frame on Sunday. Sunday came and Leo texted us indicating Simon will arrive around noon, ok no problem. Monday came and Simon showed up at 1pm, he brought his ladder, a drop cloth and only covered the door leading from the garage to our kitchen with plastic, and covered nothing else that we spoke of. After putting that up, Simon told my husband he needed to get some supplies and would be back in 20 minutes. Like what, why did he not come prepared in the first place. The job was straight forward, remove old tape, replace tape, add dry wall/mud, texture and paint (which we supplied the paint). Anyway, Simon left and came back an hour later, not 20 minutes. After returning he worked another 20 minutes and knocked on our door telling us he needed more supplies and would be back in 20 minutes????? He left and came back 20 minutes later. By now it's 3pm, he finished up around 6pm. When we went out to look at the work, it was a mess! He put drywall mud over the tape and used a textured paint roller to texture the areas that were done. We asked why he did not allow for the mud to dry then sand and texture and paint when it was all the way dried? He looked at us perplexed, and said texture spray is expensive and that his textured roller brush gave it a sprayed look. We said that, this is not what we agreed to and that 2 cans of texture spray would have covered it and cost around $20. He literally put tape, drywall mud and painted without allowing properly drying in between each process. The areas he did are noticeable. See photo. I then asked where was all the plastic to cover the areas we discussed with Leo, he could not answer. He spoke very little English so communication was difficult and very frustrating. We advised him he needs to clean up as everything was covered in drywall dust. He ran a shop vacuum for a few minutes and wiped a few areas down and left. Everything was covered in white dust, Everything! I tried to call Leo, but he did not take my call. So I texted him saying that Simon did not do what we discussed. In addition the work done looks worse than it did when the ceiling was cracking. The areas are lumpy and it's an eyesore. Leo finally responded that he and Simon agreed to do it the way he did it as it was more cost effective for them. Leo or Simon at no time never contacted us to change any part of what was agreed. He decided to cut corners without advising us otherwise. His word were they made the decision as it was just a garage. We understand that it would not look 100% the same, but he didn't even try to make it look even half way better. He said what can we do to make it right? To be honest, we just wanted he and his specialist gone. They literally fked up our ceiling and now we'll have to pay someone to fix it. We would not let him touch anything around our home with a 10ft pole. Shame on you Leo for taking our money and leaving us with shoddy work! I would think twice before hiring Leo's Handyman Services ! If we could give zero stars we would!

I called them back at 4pm, only to be given an excuse of they ran into an emergency, and wouldn't be able to come til later in evening, but they could not give me a new time for arrival. I asked them to cancel the appointment, and let them know I would not be doing business with your company. I asked why I wasn't told of the delay, and I was apologized to, but not given a suitable resolution. It seems that when you need a plumber for a repair, it's best to look elsewhere.
