Our Community is in a better place since they have taken over. It looks better and more people are complying with the HOA rules.

I am an out of state property owner. Last year, I received the HOA coupon book late and resulted…read morein a fine. I called about it and was told I can submit a request to the board and possibly have it waived. I made three calls a few weeks ago to confirm the payment amount for 2023 and to get information on my payment history. The lady in accounting department put me on hold for 35 minutes and I had to call back to remind her I was still on hold. She said her computer was causing problems. I sent a detailed email request to the community manager to find out if the board ever responded to my request as well as to get my payment history. No response! Are my requests reasonable? How does Cherry Creek HOA get paid? Who's doing the paying? Is this the way you want to run a business?

A few months ago, I reported that the railing on the stairs to the front door had rusted through and broken. I sent photographs and described how the broken railing posed a safety risk and requested that they fix or replace it. Nothing happened to fix the railing. I spoke with Danny, the individual responsible for managing the complex. Nothing happened to fix the railing. Whenever I called back, he was unavailable. Finally, I spoke with Ron, Danny's supervisor, and a few days later the rail was welded. A few days after that the weld failed, and the rail was once again not attached and posed a safety risk. I called again. The woman who answered the phone told me I needed to put in an online work order request. After some discussion, she was very nice and told me that she had put in a work order for me. Nothing happened. I called back and spoke with Danny, who told me the work order was never put into the system. He submitted a new work order and informed me that someone would be out on October 28, to fix the rail. Predictably, on October 28, nothing happened. It is now November 6, and I have called multiple times since October 28. I still have no idea when or if they will fix the railing. It should not take 10 phone calls to get a broken stairway railing fixed. this is a safety issue, especially with snowy weather approaching, and failure to address the problem after 10 phone calls is malfeasance.

We entrusted Stars and Stripes with managing our home while we were overseas for two years. That…read morewas a serious mistake. During that time, the tenants destroyed our house, and Stars and Stripes ( RYAN STUBBINGS ) failed to properly manage, inspect, or protect our property. By the time we returned, the damage was extensive and far beyond normal wear and tear. When you hire a property management company, you expect regular oversight, accountability, and protection of your investment--especially when you are out of the country and unable to monitor things yourself. Stars and Stripes did not meet those responsibilities. If you are considering this company to manage your home, particularly if you will be away or relying on them heavily, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I hired Stars and Stripes Homes, Inc. to manage my personal property, and I can confidently say…read morethis was one of the worst decisions I've ever made as a homeowner. The experience was unethical, dishonest, unprofessional, and completely disorganized from day one. I originally chose this company because I'm a U.S. military veteran, and their name suggested values like integrity, accountability, and respect. That assumption turned out to be meaningless. There was absolutely nothing about how this company operates that reflects those principles. The problems were endless: · I did NOT receive required tax documents (1099s) by January 31st, which is unacceptable and caused unnecessary stress and follow-up on my end. · I was charged excessively high procurement fees, yet the tenants they placed paid late and/or in installments, completely defeating the purpose of those fees. · They charged both pet fees AND pet deposits, which felt excessive and poorly explained. · I was explicitly told there would be no cleaning fee, only to be hit with one at the last minute anyway -- and to make it worse, the cleaning job was so poorly done it had to be redone. · Despite all these fees, the property was still returned with tenant-caused damage that was not adequately addressed. · I was overcharged the management fee, caught it myself, and then had to go back and forth with them just to get my own money returned. The lack of organization and oversight was astonishing. Records were sloppy, explanations changed depending on who you spoke to, and there was zero accountability. I felt like I had to audit every statement just to protect myself. This company does not operate with transparency or professionalism, and as a homeowner, I felt consistently misled and nickel-and-dimed while receiving subpar service at best. I would not recommend Stars and Stripes Homes, Inc. to my worst enemy. If you value your property, your finances, or your sanity, stay far away. There are far better -- and far more ethical -- property management companies in Colorado!

Jessica Brittmon is the worst culprit and will only get back to you when she feels like it (which can take weeks or even months). On the contrary, if she needs something she expects it without delay. Our bookkeeper had to spend extra hours every month trying to figure out their confusing accounting methods. Their reconciliations were sent out on random dates and usually not complete. After two months we are still waiting for our security deposits to be sent to our new management as Jessica Brittmon refuses to get back to us! After spending way too many years (I am embarrassed to admit) with these less than competent property managers, we finally switched to a much more professional management company- CRT Management. The difference is night and day.

Unfortunately, within the past year, the quality of service has drastically declined. We began noticing a pattern of poor communication, particularly with Jessica Brittmon. Whenever we reached out to Jessica White or Krystal regarding accounting issues, they would refer us to Jessica Brittmon. Jessica Brittmon once informed us they had implemented a new accounting system and provided login instructions -- however, we were never able to access it. When we followed up with her for help, she seemed irritated and unwilling to assist. Her lack of responsiveness spoke volumes. To make matters worse, we stopped receiving regular payments. When we asked about this, we were either ignored or given conflicting information. At one point, an employee told us that there was no new accounting system, which left us even more confused and concerned. There was a time when we recommended J & J Property Management to others. Sadly, that trust has been broken. We are still owed money and are now pursuing legal action. Very disappointed and, based on our experience, we do not recommend this company.

GARBAGE HOA! My husband and I were renting a condo in a complex that went through several HOA's and…read morethen this one. All of them were pretty bad and Advance HOA was no exception. Terrible communication (IF you're lucky enough to get any notice at all!) including signs posted at the last minute saying you can't park in your assigned spot for xyz reason and if you do you'll be towed, then changes in schedule so you've moved your car to the street for nothing, then no notification about when the rescheduled work will be done, etc. etc. Not long before we left, we contacted Advance HOA Mgmt regarding putting up a small removable wire fence (the kind you stick in the ground around your flower beds, costs like $20) because the neighbor's dog kept coming onto our patio and being chased by said neighbor, who was an unstable person we didn't want around. After explaining the situation to the HOA, they said we'd need to fill out an ARCHITECTURAL PERMIT FORM -- for a freaking wire fence you poke into the ground! The form was ridiculous: it asked for dimensions, time needed for construction (!), BLUEPRINTS, the whole nine yards. Most of it was totally irrelevant. Then we had to submit it and wait THIRTY (30) DAYS for a response, while the board and whoever "voted" on it. Okay, I get that if you're actually rebuilding your patio/balcony or constructing a gazebo or something, but come on. As it turns out, over the next month we found a new home and moved out, not once ever hearing back on the "decision" regarding the wire fence. Lack of communication is by far the biggest issue with Advance HOA Management, but there are many more, too many to waste my time writing about here. Good riddance.

They advertise themselves as an advocate for homowners with a "goal is to ensure your community remains beautiful and to maintain the value of your homes," however they achieve the opposite.
