I am still giving a good review because they were very polite and professional and called me back to apologize for the oversight and also refunded the cost of the cleaning.

My original review tells all about my wet adventures with this company, who left me a soaking wet carpet after their cleaning, and refused to fix it. Bottom line: unprofessional, serious issues with reliability and customer service, the worst I've seen. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere - there are plenty of real professional carpet cleaners in town. I never had any trouble with carpet cleaners except for Drummond. Too much headache for a simple carpet cleaning. If you do hire Drummond, and suffer the consequences, be advised: they will bully you when you share your negative experience. Critical reviews are met with deranged "rebuttals", false accusations, legal threats, and made up stories that keep changing (examples found in each of their replies, in both my reviews). Those are relevant points that a prospective customer should be aware of. According to their book - it's always someone else's fault. The wet carpet they left was first blamed on my nonexistent neighbors on the nonexistent top floor (I kid you not), then a leak that never happened in my kitchen (give me a break!). First they made up a story about insurance (confusing me with another customer), now some story about a fan - what in the world are they talking about ? Almost two years after that ordeal, the owners decided to open that wound, and post another nasty reply to my (now 21 months old) review, hoping that I wouldn't push back - they were wrong. Once I answered, they started playing victim (typical bully tactic), complain about being "attacked", and try to lecture me about proper review etiquette... rich. Drummond, 1. I'm not the one attacking legitimate reviewers - you are attacking. 2. Your messages speak for themselves - you *are* rude. 3. Both my reviews reflect everything about my awful personal experience with your service and outrageous behavior. Since you insist, I will remind you: your botched cleaning job almost ruined my carpet, and cost me a lot of money and stress to fix. Much like you did to other customers that horrible week, you avoided phone calls, and when you cared to answer, you were rude and obnoxious. You didn't care one iota, when we, your customers, needed you the most and begged your help. I literally had to hire another company to fix after you. And now you complain that you don't get a stellar 5-star review ? You can deny all you want, keep fabricating stories about leaks/fans/unicorns, and leave angry replies. My review isn't going anywhere, nor has it ever been removed, contrary to your claim. Seriously, stop making stuff up - nobody buys it, it's not helping your case, your reputation, or your business. People pay hard earned money for your services. Take responsibility for your bad work, stop making up excuses, and don't harass customers who express their dissatisfaction. Do your job like you should, and you'll get excellent reviews. Keep doubling down on your fiascos, and your customers will run away, it's as simple as that. ______________ Drummond reply (June 3rd 2019): I have not been disrespectful to you! You are attacking not just me personally you are attacking the hundreds of legitimate people that left a review and calling them fake. A review is to describe a personal experience with a business but you choose to attack the owner and legitimate customers which shows your true intent. Also you never paid for the week of fan usage for your water leak and was refusing to return them. This is all I have to say about this as your review has been removed twice already for violating review policies! ______________ Drummond reply (June 2nd 2019): Like I stated before we left fans for a week for you which you refused to return because you had a water leak at your kitchen sink that flooded the carpet that had nothing to do with the carpet cleaning process. You would not return our carpet drying fans and had not used them because you were out of the state and you left this review after we had stated that you would be charged for the fans if they were not returned! After we got our fans back that is when you left this review that contains false information! This review has been removed 2x for violating terms of website. ______________ Drummond reply (June 1st 2019): Like I stated before we left fans for a week for you which you refused to return because you had a water leak at your kitchen sink that flooded the carpet that had nothing to do with the carpet cleaning process. I was referred to Turner's Carpet Cleaning by Merry Maids, who evidently now uses Turner's as it's…read moresub contractor. I was assured that Turner's would do a job every bit as good as Kleen Rite or any other professional carpet cleaner. Since Merry Maids, for Turner's, underbid Kleen Rite by a considerable amount, I decided to give them a try. Scott arrived on time, and while I understand that personality doesn't necessarily represent competence, Scott was twitchy and made me uncomfortable from the get go. We reviewed the carpets that needed to be cleaned, and I pointed out special attention spots where there were stains or where the dog sleeps and so there would be lots of hair. I specifically asked that he get the stairs well, and get under our bed. Before he began cleaning, he tried three times to persuade me to get deodorizer for the carpets. While it is true that we have pets, it's also true that people come into our house and can't tell we have pets until the pets show up to say hi (unless I've not vacuumed or swept the front hall anyway). I was more than a little put off by this pressure. He finally accepted that I would not be ordering additional services. Scott appeared efficient, and got the job "done" in good time. But he didn't get all the spots. In fact, once the carpet dried, I discovered he hardly got any of the spots. He left the heavy traffic areas looking just the way they did when he arrived. And the stairs and under the bed both still had tons of fur. To add insult to injury, when he talked to my husband, he kept touching him -- which made my husband more than a little bit uncomfortable. It's so not appropriate! I complained about the many spots and the fur, and he came back out to re do the carpets. He admitted that he had not pre-vacuumed the first time, and agreed to do that this time. I'm not entirely sure he did, since it didn't involve a different machine. I will update this to reflect whether or not his second try yields clean carpets. They're still wet now. -- edited to add: While Scott did get the fur, and he did reduce the number of spots, he left the large ones in the upstairs hall unchanged, and several in the dining room. I wish I could believe that they remain because they're just too set in and too old, but his diligence with spot removal doesn't leave me with confidence. Next time, I'm calling Kleen Rite.

He was also very flexible about switching dates when our movers were delayed a day and came in on a Saturday morning. I also appreciated that he didn't make me feel bad for using a CI Saves voucher.... Unlike a lot of hotel employees who treat you poorly because you book on Priceline. Highly recommend.
