Doug was our second choice and within ten minutes of meeting became our first choice for all future flooring treatment needs. Two days later and my initial impression of him was spot on. He was professional, personable, a gentleman that I was 100% comfortable having in our home while I looked after my toddler and 3 month old puppy while my husband was gone at work. As for service, the carpet looks and smells amazing. We bought our home last summer and it's a purchase that keeps on giving, and one of those was pet urine odor in the master bedroom that we didn't notice until after closing. We've been living with it ever since until we decided to purchase bedroom furniture that will be immovable... so it became a now or never situation. After Doug's visit I can't smell it or see it, and as the carpet has dried it smells like we put down new carpeting. His price was unbeatable to boot. Before I close, I'd like to add that 4 minutes before Doug arrived my toddler daughter came toddling out of the living room clapping her hands with my son's "flarp" (noise putty/slime/nightmare toy) on her feet. You may see where this is going.... I continued walking toward the living room and there it was..... neon green slime gently and slowly molding itself around each individual carpet fiber it touched. I texted my husband - we hadn't hired Doug to get slime out of carpet! I had 8 spots counted and by the time Doug arrived we were at 13. He walked in and I told him what was going on and his response was "Well I guess you had the right guy coming!" He worked at that "toy" that could have destroyed my carpeting, and he spent considerable time on it when he wasn't even coming here to do that. I was embarrassed but relieved. Even still, when he went to quote me a price, he wasn't going to charge for the slime debacle however I insisted. He deserved it. I'm genuinely disappointed that I was too aggravated with my toddler's antics to get before pictures. Job well done, Doug. I hope we don't need you too soon, but when we do, your number is saved and your business card was given to our real estate agent. Thanks! read more

The floor in our home is mostly carpeted and we have three dogs. The carpet stinks and a bit dirty but I do not have the time to clean it since I am always tired from work then I look for company that has floor cleaning services and I found Extreme Clean Carpet and Floor Care. I immediately contacted them and was lucky to talk with Doug which I think is the one who basically clean the floors, carpets and all. I told him my concerns and he was really nice who set me an appointment the next day. Doug and his crew arrived on our house at the agreed time. Doug was very kind who explained to me everything about what they are all going to do. The crews are polite, friendly and easy to be with. After 1 hour the work is done and the carpet looks incredibly good and it also looks like new and the bad odor are all gone. It really satisfies me because the job was really done well. Plus, the price is reasonable. The service is just really good that I will definitely recommend it to my friends. Highly recommended and you should give it a try and they will surely also satisfy you. read more

Could not be more impressed. The level of dedication and commitment Doug shows to his craft is hard to come by. Originally I had reached out to Doug after reading a few reviews but wasn't expecting a response seeing it was 9:00 pm on a Sunday but was extremely surprised that he had returned my message within 15 minutes to discuss my needs and setup a time for service. From there it only was more impressive with each interaction. On time, professional, friendly and absolutely dedicated to providing the best service possible solidified Doug and Extreme Clean as my go-to provider. I've continued to use Doug for the last two years any time I need help with an emergency pet stain or whole house cleaning. Although I'm sure there are many other reputable cleaners out there I doubt I will ever look to anyone else. read more

We had never had our carpets cleaned before until we got our puppy and soon realized we needed our carpets professionally cleaned! Extreme Clean was great to work with from start to finish. The owner contacted myself and my Husband directly to set up a time to get the carpets cleaned. They worked fast and the carpets turned out amazing! This was a student apartment so the carpet was already worn quite a bit by previous tenants but once Extreme Clean did their thing the carpets looked spotless! No wear signs at all and the smell was completely gone. Needless to say we got our apartment deposit back! Definitely recommend Extreme clean to others wanting fast and affordable carpet cleaning service!! read more

Doug came by next day and I have nothing but high marks to describe my experience with Extreme Clean. He's well informed with experience. I appreciate that he is knowledgable with his equipment. It's always a little disheartening when you ask any technician questions about what they're doing or how something works and they respond with vague answers because they may not really know the science. Doug is knowledgable and knows what he's talking about. He took great care of my property and my carpets feel fresh and de-odorized. I would recommend him to anyone in the Champaign-Urbana-Savoy area, and I am definitely going to call him for a yearly cleaning! read more

Before using a business, it is customary for me to read reviews because I typically find they are a good barometer of the service I can anticipate. In this particular case, I found Extreme Cleaning' reviews to be entirely accurate. After scheduling an appointment, I received a follow-up confirmation and reminder text. The day if the appointment, Extreme Cleaning's owner arrived on time at my home with one assistant to clean my carpets. Not only was the service handled professionally but the 2 men are just good people. My carpeting looks great and cleaned at a fair price. There is no doubt in my mind that I will be a repeat customer! read more

I am beyond impressed with the service provided by Extreme Clean Carpet And Floor Care! From the initial booking to the final results, everything was top-notch. The team arrived promptly and was extremely professional and courteous. Doug is very friendly and helpful. They took the time to explain the cleaning process and addressed all my concerns. The cleaning was thorough and efficient, and they even managed to rejuvenate high-traffic areas. My carpets now look and feel as good as new. I highly recommend Extreme for their outstanding service, attention to detail, and excellent results. Thank you Doug! read more

My experience with Extreme Clean was very positive. I had years of wax build-up on my ceramic tile floor, and it had started wearing off. That left the entire floor with splotches that looked terrible. I called Doug, who came by and looked the job over to give me an estimate. His price was half that of two other floor cleaners who had bid the job. I decided to go with Extreme Clean, and I am glad I did. Doug worked me in when it was convenient for me, he explained what he was going to do, and then he did just that. Thanks so much Doug. You did and excellent job, and I have a great looking tile floor! read more

Recently, I had Doug Shattuck and his carpet cleaning team come to my home to clean two rooms on the main living area and the stairs leading to the upper level of my home. Doug called the day before to confirm the appointment, and he arrived on time to perform the cleaning services. The process is a low moisture cleaning system, and I must say the carpets have never looked better. The carpet was dry within two hours, and all of the stains were thoroughly removed. We were very happy with Doug's professionalism and reasonable prices. I recommend using Extreme Clean for residential needs. read more

If you want your carpets cleaned by a professional for reasonable rates, call Doug at Extreme Clean. We are a repeat customer with Extreme Clean and can only, but say great things about this cleaning company. Not only was he punctual, but he was early. He is a straight shooter and willing to do what is right for you as the customer, rather than trying to make a quick buck with a sub-par performance. He would rather have you as his goto guy and he is our goto guy. Not only all that, but he is also a local, family owned business. Do yourself a favor, call Doug at Extreme Clean. read more

Just a great all-around experience. First off, the carpets look great (and some of them haven't been cleaned since we moved in 6 years ago). Second, Doug is extremely professional and friendly. Prompt return of calls, quick turn-around, and (like I said) great job on the carpets. No lingering after-odor and some stains that I thought we were just going to have to live with are gone. Reasonable prices and Doug goes through the whole process with you. Finally, it's a locally owned and operated business from a guy who cares about the community. What's not to like? read more

We had the best experience when Doug came to clean our carpets. We previously hired another company, that left our carpets in worse shape. When I called Doug he was knowledgable and truly cared about fixing our carpets. He cleaned our carpets and they looked and smelled amazing. He took the time to listen to our problem and I could tell he really cared about making sure the job was done correctly, which is hard to find these days. I would recommend Doug to anyone looking for carpet cleaning in the area! We will definitely be hiring him again in the future!! read more

We recently moved into a new home and the previous owners were dog owners who left it filthy. Doug immediately came to the rescue to clean the carpets. He was able to squeeze us in at short notice at the end of the day and worked hard to lift the hair, cleanse the dog smell, and leave the whole house smelling clean and fresh. He even brought his wife on her day off to help expedite the process. The two of them were completely professional, friendly, and funny. We highly recommend Extreme Clean...ever if they are Michigan fans! read more

Absolutely Amazing Service Extreme Clean exceeded my expectations and truly worked a miracle! I had heavy stains in a few high-traffic areas, and like magic, they were completely gone. I'm so thankful I found them! Not only did they do an outstanding job, but they were also incredibly personable--it felt like family. Their pricing was reasonable and fair, and they were super efficient and fast. If I could give more stars, I would! I will definitely be using Extreme Clean again in the future. We needed to have our carpeting cleaned amid the pandemic. Our house was going on the market in a few weeks. Doug and his crew were very considerate of the situation. They came in fully masked, gloved and with booties on. They were careful to maintain social distancing and didn't touch any surfaces unnecessarily. Doug's communication with me prior, during and after were excellent. He and his crew arrived on time, worked efficiently, and did a great job. I would highly recommend Extreme Clean . Doug came to our home in Blooming Country Club to clean our many area rugs. The home has rugs from very fine stores and we were anxious about getting them cleaned, as we didn't want to accidentally ruin any of them. Doug did a phenomenal job. The rugs literally look new. We ever had a white rug with a large red makeup stain that he was able to remove without causing any damage. We are overjoyed with the work Doug has done and will definitely use him in the future! We strongly recommend Extreme Clean!! read more

Doug did an OUTSTANDING job on our carpets! We own a home in Normal where our sons live while attending ISU. We had Doug out last year and he did a fabulous job. The carpet was soooo dirty this year I was not confident it could be cleaned. He worked miracles on the carpet and it looks great. I would highly recommend Doug. I also like that the carpet is not very wet when he is done. He is friendly, knows his business and was on time for our appointment. VERY reasonably priced. read more
