John Beeney represented my husband and I in the sale of our condo, and in the process…read moresinglehandedly raised the bar to deity level for my expectation for realtors. To put it bluntly, John completely shattered my expectations and went above and beyond what I thought a full service agent could do for us. I was looking for someone with demonstrated experience, a good reputation, solid connections in the local real estate market and who was extremely detail-and-results oriented. I interviewed agents in the beginning, and selecting John was a no brainer after seeing his presentation. He knew the market and demographics, but what won me over was his hands on ability to prepare a property for sale and market it (most agents just talk about what they are going to do for you, but he had a portfolio with video and pictures of his work). His design aesthetics and construction background caught my attention - a John Beeney trademark and bonus that not many agents have, which proved invaluable. John treated the prepping and sale of our condo like it was his own home. I think he practically lived there for two weeks, pondering on paint colors for the walls, tackling lighting issues, replacing fixtures, completely resurfacing and painting a marble fireplace, mending carpet, directing a team of people to bring everything up to his incredibly high standards. No detail went unnoticed. As if that weren't enough, John even spent a significant amount of his own money to add finishing touches and fixtures, clean, take professional photos, create dazzling marketing materials and design a website. All in two weeks. When it came time to show the property, John knew exactly how to generate the right level of excitement and enthusiasm. Offers came in a mere week after hitting the market. I would not hesitate to recommend John as a realtor in SF. He is as good as it gets!

My review of Nick Issa, a relator with Sotheby's International Realtors…read more I was referred to Nick by a banker. Now, at the time my family looked for our home this was a sellers' market with a ton of cash out there and we were an FHA loan : (. We looked at over 80 homes, wrote 28 offers, and finally landed a beautiful, fully updated home that we could not be happier with. Nick's number 1 strength: Communication. He is all about communication and during the home buying process; this is the number 1 asset to help keep your sanity. He is a "dot the I" and cross the" T" kind of guy that never leaves a stone unturned. He will make sure everyone in the process is executing their duties and always lets you know what is going on. He will go above and beyond for you with communication. Nick's number 2 strength: Patience I was not the easiest client. I evolved what I wanted (as will you in a sellers' market) during the process but all the time Nick was accepting and patient with me. (Abides by a code of ethics); Without telling a long story, Nick advised me multiple times not to accept terms the in negotiations (they wanted unrealistic terms and conditions) when I did not fully understand this process or when they were trying to hoodwink me by something I did not understand but would have been bad for me. After learning about the entire process (I could now teach a course), he saved me from getting into bad deals in the beginning. He was more interested in getting my family a great home we would love at a great deal than to just make money. He did this even towards the end of the process at month number 6 and offer number 24 (of 28). I was impressed. I cannot stress enough how important this is!!!! (Educator): I was ignorant to the entire process when we first went out. . Well, as the process of looking for a home began, Nick spent a lot of time educating me on the process and answered all of my questions to the fullest extent. He taught me things not to do, what to look for, how to read the MLS listings, how the process worked, the market conditions, and much, much more. (Dedicated): This guy spent 6 months looking for me. He wrote 28 offers. He took me out countless times. He did this for a client that only had an ideal target of 200k. He had other clients that had big $$$ deals going on (overheard parts of non-sensitive conversations) but he makes equal time regardless of how much your looking to spend. (Negotiating skills); if you are wondering about negotiating skill, this is not something the relator has some magical power over when in a sellers' market. You can ask for whatever you like, if they don't like it, they won't even tell you. You'll get the "dear john" email of "sorry, we accepted another offer". When negotiating comes into play Nick will do his work and position you to have leverage or negotiating pieces (I.E. closing costs, repairs, etc.) when the seller attempts to muscle you. My point, he is good. (connected); He has many contacts and connections in the industry that came in handy. He knew over 80% of the relators in the area that were the selling agent in offers we wrote. (Flexible): He'll work around your schedule and he works 7 days a week. (not opinionated); He is there for you with whatever you think you want. I had some stupid "had to have" in the beginning (I.E. pool) but he diligently did his work to make sure I would get a home we would love. Well, there might be some more strong points but I think you get the message if you read this far. If I had to say something bad, it would be saying something out of necessity to balance this review but the truth is, there is not glaring deficiency in Nick's relator practices. It is what it is.

There was no question that we'd be once again partnering with Linda to sell our current home and buy our next. Before putting the house on the market, she came over to walk the house and give us some pointers on what to do to spiffy up the inside and outside, and also to talk pricing. We took the next couple of months following her advice, and once the house hit the market, we were under contract after 2 very successful open houses. Linda is a pro, and the results speak for themselves. Our house pulled in 14 offers, and the offer we accepted came in over $110k over asking. We were beyond stoked. Having already eyed a gem of a fixer upper in Novato a couple of weeks prior, Linda quickly set up an appointment for us to view it. It was instant love, and the same day we were submitting our own offer. Thanks to Linda's expert guidance, we scored the deal of a lifetime, getting the house for far under what it was being appraised at. Under contract for the house we sold and for the house we were buying in under 3 weeks. Unheard of. If you need an amazing realtor who knows her stuff, and are also looking to add an equally amazing friend to your life, look no further. Thanks for everything, Linda!

She stuck with us for months and months, showing us neighborhoods and houses so that we could truly narrow down what we wanted and find the perfect neighborhood. She took so much time out of her schedule for two boys that were not in a place to put an offer in--and didn't seem to mind at all. When the Florida house finally sold, Linda was a god send in helping us get through the paperwork and get us into our perfect little home. Not to mention, that without her knowledge, we would have never even looked in this particular neighborhood--and we LOVE it. If you're looking for a home, or want to sell your place--I cannot recommend Linda enough.

We trusted his judgement and we were not disappointed.  The sale was not an easy sale. A Property Inspection Report revealed a serious problem that needed to be addressed. I was especially impressed with his choice of the Stager and Photographer, both very talented professionals.  On Nov. 25th., there was an "Open House" and within 10 days, offers were made and one was accepted.  On Dec. 28th. the house was sold. She's an excellent communicator and deftly connected with us via email, text, DocuSign, zoom and in-person meetings. She is available and responsive around the clock (we're not sure, but we think she sleeps!) and on weekends or weekdays. But most of all, she's a great listener who shapes the process to meet your needs, and her people skills know no bounds. After our first offer pulled out - twice! - Beth mobilized immediately and reconnected with an earlier potential buyer -- making it worth their while to add thousands of dollars to their original offer and resulting in a competitive sale price for our condo. Betsy kept it real; she helped us temper our expectations given the market complexities, never allowing us to stray too far from what was within our budget while keeping our must-haves in mind. Betsy was constantly guiding us and advocating for us, mentoring us on what was realistic for our circumstances. We also gained a wealth of recommendations on contractors and other services we needed after closing the sale as well as navigating a repair when there was minor damage to the home during closing. And Betsy's assistant Sanjani was also knowledgeable and responsive, a joy to work with too. We loved that Betsy chose to donate a portion of her earnings to a climate-oriented organization of our choice. This is super important to us, and it felt great to have a realtor with that in common. Betsy was ALWAYS there when we needed her, available by text and email with no judgement when we had a crazy amount of questions.
