As first-time home…read morebuyers, we started out barely understanding the process, and from that very first step she was supportive and provided us with lots of helpful guidance and care. Amadee earned our complete trust, and we can't recommend her enough to anyone, especially first-time buyers looking for someone who truly has their back.

I feel so lucky that we found Amadee and Martin during our search for a home in the Bay Area. Today…read morewe have our dream home and it really would not have been possible without their help. We had been looking for close to 10 months when I met Amadee by chance. She diligently followed up with me after our conversation and 3 months later, we closed on an incredible home. We beat 21 other offers -- and after a year of search, it was actually the first home we offered on! Amadee and Martin educated us about the areas where we were looking (San Mateo, San Bruno), personally took us on house and neighborhood tours, helped us find a loan officer who was fantastic to work with and got us the loan we needed, prepared us for every step in the process, and always made themselves available for questions. While we were looking, they guided us away from homes in flood zones or in areas that aren't going to appreciate well, but also showed us homes that we ourselves may have overlooked. Most importantly, they fought for us during the offer process. We heard a lot of advice from others who bought in the area that you have to be prepared to have your heart broken, that you'll likely not get that one home you bid on first. Somehow that never happened to us, and I think it's because we had Amadee and Martin on our side. The house we bought was listed much too low and on their advice we came in with an offer that helped us survive the first round of bidding. From there, they worked hard for us with the seller's agent to help us secure a winning bid on the home. Twenty one days later we had the keys to our amazing dream house! Even after the contract was signed, they were so generous with their time and expertise, checking the property for any damage after staging furniture was removed, getting the seller to fix a few things, helping us find a mover, giving us recommendations for how to take care of certain aspects of the property, and giving us contacts for trustworthy small businesses. It's so hard out there to get a nice home without feeling like you were taken advantage of. I really feel like we dodged a bullet by finding someone so trustworthy and meticulous. Could not recommend them more highly.

My review of Nick Issa, a relator with Sotheby's International Realtors…read more I was referred to Nick by a banker. Now, at the time my family looked for our home this was a sellers' market with a ton of cash out there and we were an FHA loan : (. We looked at over 80 homes, wrote 28 offers, and finally landed a beautiful, fully updated home that we could not be happier with. Nick's number 1 strength: Communication. He is all about communication and during the home buying process; this is the number 1 asset to help keep your sanity. He is a "dot the I" and cross the" T" kind of guy that never leaves a stone unturned. He will make sure everyone in the process is executing their duties and always lets you know what is going on. He will go above and beyond for you with communication. Nick's number 2 strength: Patience I was not the easiest client. I evolved what I wanted (as will you in a sellers' market) during the process but all the time Nick was accepting and patient with me. (Abides by a code of ethics); Without telling a long story, Nick advised me multiple times not to accept terms the in negotiations (they wanted unrealistic terms and conditions) when I did not fully understand this process or when they were trying to hoodwink me by something I did not understand but would have been bad for me. After learning about the entire process (I could now teach a course), he saved me from getting into bad deals in the beginning. He was more interested in getting my family a great home we would love at a great deal than to just make money. He did this even towards the end of the process at month number 6 and offer number 24 (of 28). I was impressed. I cannot stress enough how important this is!!!! (Educator): I was ignorant to the entire process when we first went out. . Well, as the process of looking for a home began, Nick spent a lot of time educating me on the process and answered all of my questions to the fullest extent. He taught me things not to do, what to look for, how to read the MLS listings, how the process worked, the market conditions, and much, much more. (Dedicated): This guy spent 6 months looking for me. He wrote 28 offers. He took me out countless times. He did this for a client that only had an ideal target of 200k. He had other clients that had big $$$ deals going on (overheard parts of non-sensitive conversations) but he makes equal time regardless of how much your looking to spend. (Negotiating skills); if you are wondering about negotiating skill, this is not something the relator has some magical power over when in a sellers' market. You can ask for whatever you like, if they don't like it, they won't even tell you. You'll get the "dear john" email of "sorry, we accepted another offer". When negotiating comes into play Nick will do his work and position you to have leverage or negotiating pieces (I.E. closing costs, repairs, etc.) when the seller attempts to muscle you. My point, he is good. (connected); He has many contacts and connections in the industry that came in handy. He knew over 80% of the relators in the area that were the selling agent in offers we wrote. (Flexible): He'll work around your schedule and he works 7 days a week. (not opinionated); He is there for you with whatever you think you want. I had some stupid "had to have" in the beginning (I.E. pool) but he diligently did his work to make sure I would get a home we would love. Well, there might be some more strong points but I think you get the message if you read this far. If I had to say something bad, it would be saying something out of necessity to balance this review but the truth is, there is not glaring deficiency in Nick's relator practices. It is what it is.
