I have made several attempts to contact you all. This unit was installed in 2021. I have had nothing but problems. You have blamed me for your tech irresponsibility of not installing this unit correctly. I have now or ever had an electrical problem with my home. I have been removed from my unit getting its maintenance checks. It's been a year since ( 2024 ) this happened last and you were supposed to send a contractor over to take care of the damage from the first time. Replacing my exhaust fan. This is the second time 9-26-25 my unit has leaked and it's caused more damage. And yet I haven't heard a word from you all. I have called nothing. We have been customers of yours for years. You put this the previous unit. You all left the previous unit in my attic. But I had you all removed both before installing the is unit. If you are the company you say are fix your mistake. Knocked and tried to call and then left. No missed calls on my phone around that time. I have an option for a scheduled time window if you're gonna show up whenever you want? Rey Palacios and Eugene White were some of the best service techs to ever work on our home heating and air systems. We have owned our home for 42 years. With that your company has installed our air conditioning unit and have serviced it extremely well. Finally the duct work gave out. Your team replaced it in one service day. After completion we noticed air leaving the outside plenum. We called back to and had some of the techs check it out the next day. Eugene White and Rey Palacios were dispatched for the call. The repair was corrected in a timely manner and the professional work was excellent with a visual check and a temperature check in all rooms and vents. Showed up on-time with a mask on, which is appreciated during these unprecedented times. Performed prepaid maintenance service efficiently. As information, this appointment was re-scheduled twice, which was not an issue for me. Someone called to advise of the need to re-schedule with plenty of notice, and the actual date of service worked out better than the original. I had a problem from a step not done during the every 6 months maintenance check. I contacted the company. The general manager, Matthew DiBenedetto, sent me an email denying any responsibility. After two voicemails and two email requests to discuss the problem, he will not return either voicemail or email. The bill for the hole in my ceiling is approaching $2500. Not what I would call service. I discussed normal maintenance procedures with two other AC companies. Coastal definitely didn't cover normal industry steps to avoid clogged condensation drains. read more

Came the next day to fix my AC unit. They said they didn't have the necessary electrical wires. Yes, you read that correctly- the necessary electrical wires to fix the issue. Said they would return next day from 2-4 pm. Did not receive a phone call so I called at 4 pm next day. They said they were delayed and apologized for not calling at all that day. I got a phone call at 5:30 pm saying they were no longer going to be able to make it because of weather. It is August in Savannah- there is a chance of rain every afternoon. It did not rain at all day. The only rain the entire day was the sweat poring off me and my pets as we sat around all afternoon waiting. Thanks for being terrible and risking my pets lives by not fulfilling your business obligations. read more

Coastal Service Experts called me & said I had a free maintenance check. Three of their employees arrived (why 3) and told me I had a freon leak that required 4 to 6 lbs of freon @ a cost of $111 a lb., but would waive cost if I purchased a service contract, which I did. Two days later on a Saturday 3 trucks showed up saying I had purchased an air conditioner. My air conditioner is only 3 years old. Why would I buy a new one. I told them I did not purchase a new air conditioner and told them to leave. I called the manager who was very hostile who told me freon was $375 a lb and sided with the salesman (Quincy Smith). Quincy Smith is a con artist and needs to be stopped before he cons someone else. read more

Just had our spring tune up per our maintenance Agreement. Austin and his team JAE and Olivia did an outstanding job. We have 2 AC's and 1 heat pump. It was time to change filters I provided,campacitors and UV lamps on two systems. Upon completion they presented the bill and the inspection report. Very professional and detailed job. I have has issues with past service which was not under Austin's supervision. In the future I will specifically request Austin and his team for any service I may need. read more

I would not recommend this company. They installed an A/C in house in Feb 2020 by June 2020 the ac started to have problems. They came to my house 5 times and each time the problem got worst. Each time these so called experienced technicians told me there was nothing wrong with my A/C, but my house has been getting to 99 degrees. I had a service warranty and they still charged me for no services done. I asked for a full refund and for them to pick up the unit after I had to get another company to come out and put another A/C in. The district manager was supposed to return my call 3 days ago after my house got to 99 degrees. I still have not received a phone call and now I am having to go to the better business bureau to get this issue resolved. Bottom line is don't deal with these crooks. read more

Very bad service the technicians went in without an appointment, diagnosed the problem ordered the part and came in with parts. Then the figured out later that there was some other part required as well and took almost a month to fix the problem. In peak summer without an AC for one month. This is when we have a contract with them not sure how worst it would have been if we just called them for one service. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. We called for service on a Sunday when our ac stopped working. It started working again before the technician came, but we had him check it out. He said it was fine and he didn't find any issues. Ninety minutes later it was dead again. I called at 8 am the next day and they said they'd send someone out. At 6pm no one had come so I called back. The woman I spoke to said the service call had been cancelled. She apologized and said someone would be over shortly. At 7:30 Pm we called back. After 20 minutes on the phone the woman said the technicians were busy and it would be 2-3 hours before they could come. We have a newborn and this is absolutely unacceptable. I am purely disgusted by the horrible customer service. read more

Ripped off. We called on Sunday because air out over the weekend. $99 to come out which is fine. We advised the service man that the last guy did say the zone panel may need replaced. The service tech said well its probably not other techs say different things. After looking around he says we need refrigerant. The cost $78 a pound and that sounded high. After he fills it he said it took 4 pounds. On Monday I called around to ask others their cost and it was $40 dollars a pound!!! They were shocked at the price we were charged. They said we have the newer 410 model its the older models that cost more. I called coastal and asked like I was a customer what their refrigerant cost is and on the phone I was told $66. Still nearly $30 dollars more than others but why is it different then what I was charged? I have called several times and was told it was sent to management. No one has called me but I see the check was cashed. I was told to ask if their service techs work on commission. I called Coastal and asked like I was a new customer and he paused them said no so Im really not sure since I get different answers form different people. read more

Bought a whole house system with a service contract and was generally satisfied for 8 years. Moved and cancelled in writing. Have continued to get overdue notices from collection agency called Transworld. Multiple letters, emails and phone calls to Service Experts always result in assurances that it will be taken care of and to ignore notices. Has gone on for over a year. Months ago, warned Service Experts that if they didn't take care of this, they would read about it. This has soured what was generally decent service. Sign a service contract at your own risk. SE is like the Hotel California-you can check out but you can never leave. UPDATE-1 April 2017-they appear to resolved it. Overall good onsite work. read more

The appointment was between 1-2 I called them around 3 they said someone would be out. Closer to 5 I received a phone call explaining no one would be out that day. I am so grateful for the crew of guys who showed up at my home on time to work on my HVAC system. Kane was the technician who told me everything he was looking for as he completed his diagnostics. He explained everything thoroughly so that even this novice could understand. Robert, the advisor, was also very personable and informative. Even the trainee, Rashawn, was interested in giving the best service while he was learning. I was treated with maximum respect in my home. I've used Coastal 3 times over 3-4 years and can say I am not happy with their performance or customer service. Positive is that they do answer your call on the weekends and also have techs who can come out same day with a decent $99 diagnostic fee. Negative is that they will push back scheduled appointments and tune ups which are supposed to be pro-active maintenance for the summer.I had a tune up less than 60 days ago and now my downstairs main unit is on a constant run with mild air. I was told they only guarantee their work for 30 days-even though I would think on a tune up, there shouldn't be any issue to guarantee if all was checked and cleared. Kinesha who answered my call was not having a very good day and she made that apparent. I tried to call earlier and the call was dropped. Once I did get through, she was short with me as I tried to request the date of my last service and explain the current situation with my unit. She interrupted to get an address and tell me about fees. I asked her straight forward if she was okay or having a bad day and she was not able to respond for a second because I think I caught her off guard and her initial answer wasn't going to be positive. I have opted to go elsewhere for my service and will in do the same in the future. I want to use Coastal because of their positives, but I just don't trust them and feel I'm being taken for a ride and it is costing me more money than it should for all to be running "fine". read more

I would not recomment these f@h#$% people. They are crooks at the most. It all started on Saturday afternoon with a maintenance appt. The tech did a half ass job and then told me to call the company knowing that no one would respond on the weekend, I waited until 6:30pm Saturday for a tech to return to complete maintenance and it never happened. I called the work at home reps and they all either seemed to be liars or incompetent; they were never tracking any previous notes. However, this company collected almost $200 prepaid from me back around March this year for the maintenance program. I even called the Supervisor and left messages, he didn't even respond. What kind of business is this they are operating?I should report them to local officials and the State Attorney General to burst up their scam and return my money for this stunt they pulled on Saturday and get my money back for a job not done. read more

Update: After some months of phone tag (April 2016), my damaged ceiling was finally repaired June 27, 2016. Coastal called-in a very professional contractor named Troy with excellent customer service skills, who quickly inspected and patched the hole within an hour, and had him invoice the company directly. I'm satisfied with the repairs and the contractor, although we did have to call Coastal at every step of the process to ensure we weren't forgotten. Hoping my bad experience was a fluke and that we'll get excellent HVAC service from their maintenance plan going forward. read more

Had issue with ac unit on Sunday night. Had appointment set and confirmed via email for between 10-12 on Monday the next day. They never called me the next morn to confirm I called them and that's when they told me they might not be able to be there between 10-12. Ok... no prob. So they show up nat 12:45, which isn't terrible as far as lateness is concerned, but they weren't able to do any repairs at that time because the baby boy was sleeping... not their fault. I'll give them that. They were nice and said they'd be back later that day, but didn't show up until 6:45 pm. Actively preparing the 2 kids for bedtime so they weren't able to work. I'll give them that too. What I will not give themIs the fact that they never called to communicate with us that they will be longer than they expected at their previous location. Tuesday came along, and I called them again in the morning to which they responded that they would have somebody there between 10 and 12 again. By 6 PM I had called twice wondering when they may show. I was told both times "you are the next stop and he will be there soon". That never happened. Eventually I had to call someone else to come repair it. So ultimately I can't judge their work because I never got it, but I can judge their lack of management. If you can't be there on time for unforeseen circumstances then that's fine but you need to call people and tell them. It's a super easy thing to do. And start giving estimates. At noon I was told I was next and he'd be there soon. At 3 I was told that I was next and he'd be there soon. At 6 pm I was told that I was next and he'd be there soon. Get it together. read more

We are so pleased with the service we have received from the office staff to the technician that performed the work on our heat pump. Very friendly and courteous! Our 14 year old heat pump quit blowing hot air on a cold Saturday morning. Called Coastal and a technician came out within an hour of the call. Diagnosed the situation, gave us an estimate, and started the process of getting our heat pump fixed. The parts were ordered on Monday, and arrived by Thursday early afternoon. The same technician came out around 3:30, installed the parts, and by 5:00 we had heat going again! Thank you so much for such great service! read more

After 5 hours of waiting on a tech to come , that was supposed to call when he was on his way with a eta and only called in front of my condo when he didn't know which unit, he took maybe 10 steps inside, asked the age of my ac unit and said he needed to get some tools from his van and would bee back shortly. He came back 10 mins later, no tools but with bad news that everything inside would have to be replaced and the whole unit outside would have to be replaced. I was looking at atleast $4,000, but not to worry, he already contacted the sales rep to call me and work something out. Low and behold the sales rep called and set up appointment for the next day while the the tech was still speaking that sentence ....... got a second opinion the next day, had a ac business owner come out, only needed to replace the capacitoranbd and coolant. Coastal Service Experts were extremely unprofessional throughout this experience. We were initially told (at the first visit prior to Labor Day), that the repair would occur the following Tuesday (3 days later). They ultimately came out a full 10 days later, and only after reminder phone calls. The bill we were given at the end of the service was a ridiculously high total amount with no breakdown of what the costs were comprised of (labor, materials, etc). This is completely unprofessional for a contractor. Furthermore, this company is generally unresponsive. After my first call regarding the bill, I was told the billing representatives had already left for the day (at 4:15pm), and I would get a call back the following morning. That did not happen. I didn't get to talk to anyone until I persistently called back the following afternoon. Finally- the company appears to enjoy placing the blame on the customer - stating that the initial delay in service was from a miscommunication on our end. They insist that their practice of a single-price "plan" for their repair is "legal." Their actions indicate that they are an extremely unprofessionally run company. read more

My Air Conditioner stopped this past weekend. Being new to the area I was unsure on who I should call. I called 5 different companies and Coastal air conditioning was the only company that I didn't have to leave a message and wait for a call back. I got to speak to a real person who scheduled an appointment and had a technician out with in 2 hours. I did recieve a call back from 3 of the other companies explaining that they only took care of customers on their preffered customer plan and the other two I am still waiting. They had the nerve to try and make me feel guilty about being upset that I had to miss a half days work to get stood up. She told me that they had too many emergencies to be able to get to my appointment. Asked me "wouldn't you want us to drop everything if your system broke?"
