My first time at H Mart and I loved it, just wish we lived closer so I could take more fresh items…read morehome! We arrived right at opening, there is a large parking lot. They have many items in bulk, a large fruit and vegetable section, prepared items, meat and seafood and all the seasonings, rice, and noodles. We purchased a bunch of prepared food since we were hungry and the food stalls hadn't opened yet. Prices were normal Asian food prices - they did have a few sales going on. Overall we loved it and hope to bring a cooler and dry ice next time!

These are big time $$$ differences and they add up. Watch out! As a consumer they should honor their mistakes. They said I should read. Today, I didn't bring my readers, sorry. But when you see 10 items on the shelf above the $9.99 sign, you would automatically think okay, it's $9.99, but at the register it's $12.99. I snapped a picture to prove that there were more than one box above the price. (I could have clapped back and said then your workers should read and be able to put things on the right shelf). Produce that's rotten is sold so make sure you are opening up boxes and packages. Wish I took pictures of the rotting produce. At least I didn't buy those. Saw my receipt that they charged $1.29/lb for my Korean radish which should have been 79 cents. UGH! Guys, pay attention to how they are ringing you up. Two transactions in a row with multiple mistakes. I asked to talk with the manager. The female worker said she is not here and will come at 12noon. Then said actually will come tomorrow. Went to the Customer Service desk and the guy there said the manager is in the bathroom. Both workers started to talk to each other in Spanish. The female worker telling him, tell her the manager is not coming back until tomorrow. I told them I can speak Spanish and I understood everything they said. They got quiet very quickly. As a consumer, I am warning everyone watch the registers and the quality of your food. H-Mart Naperville...DO BETTER!

Park to Shop is my go-to Asian grocery store. They have a food court inside, live and frozen…read moreseafood, a bakery section, and even kitchen supplies, in addition to fresh produce and packaged goods. Here are some of things that are usually on the shopping list: * dried rice noodles (for pho and noodle soups) * sauces or seasonings (hot pot broth packets, xo sauce, chicken bouillon, pho soup powder, bun bo hue soup powder, pho spices, chinese cooking wine, dashi, fried garlic, fried onion, etc.) * produce (bok choy, pea shoots) * tofu * baked goods (bbq pork buns, hot dog buns) * frozen items (dumplings, udon) I re-stock on items that I wouldn't be able to easily access to the grocery stores closer to me. It's definitely an out-of-the-way grocery trip for me, but the Park to Shop Aurora location is much closer than say, driving the Chinatown for Asian groceries. I am glad I can get what I need here, the prices are average/accessible, and there are so many options to eat Pacifica Square so it's fun to make a little trip out of it. My order usually is 1) eat something delicious in the food court or right around Pacifica Square, then 2) walk off the food by grocery shopping. Be sure to peruse the sauce aisle! That's my favorite.

Chicken with bones was hacked up so watch out for little bone bits here and there. It was an intimate experience extracting the juicy flesh so I'm glad I enjoyed in the privacy of my home. Lots of meat but I wish I had more squash. Shoulda gotten a large container instead of medium. Vegetable medley of bitter melon, eggplant, yam, okra, green beans. Hates bitter melon as a kid, love it now as an adult. There's a section of Baked good. I'm addicted to playa ube. Lots of snack options. Service was fast and helpful, as always.
