Bought tinola, barely any meat , mostly bones that are cut up weirdly . Wasted $15 Of my money . Why do you guys always do that to your chicken meat?? Where did u learn how to cut up the chicken ? Paid $15 for barely 5 spoonful of chicken meat !!! So disgusted . To the owner , please inspect What your cook is serving. So so disgusted . The folks that work here are the friendliest, kindest, nicest people ever. The food here is exceptional. The pancit is the best I've ever had, the little eggrolls I apologize I can't remember the name of them at this time, are excellent we buy them 50 or 100 at a time. Although they were out they usually make the best honeydew Boba tea smoothie, we drive 45 minutes to get it. All the food the Currys the sausage are excellent. I am not Filipino but let me tell you I have had many variations of Filipino cuisine and Manila grocery is the best. Like I said I drive 45 minutes to come here it's worth a drive and the food is that good. That's a full-service grocery store so they have everything you would possibly need that is from the Philippines. Clean and courteous. The fresh sweets are very delicious. The hot fresh cooked food is soo delicious as well. Reminds you of home.

Love their lumpia and pancit. Every time I go in there the food is being cooked fresh, so it usually takes a little time but it's worth it. I also like their little snack area in the grocery side of their store for garlic peanuts and chips. They have a great catering menu and we keep saying we will order catering sometime soon, but we haven't had the opportunity yet. read more

I lived a few short miles from this establishment for years and finally stopped in to check it out at the urging of my daughter. It's in Filipino grocery store that also has a restaurant on one side but also sells hot food to go at a buffet stand. The to go buffet prices are $4.99 for a small, $6 for a medium and $7.99 for large. We ordered the fried milk fish and a side of egg rolls from the restaurant because it was not available at the buffet station. While we waited for them to cook our milk fish plate and egg rolls, we went over to the buffet station. The nice lady that served us at the buffet gave us very generous sample portions. If we were the wrong kind of customers we could sample everything, leave full, and pay for nothing. The only item I recognized was the Pancit noodles everything else I was clueless about. So I chose the tastiest samples and pointed like a 5 year old; "I want that", "I want that, "I want that". There's nothing over $8, so at those prices you could definitely take a taste tour of the Philippines for under $50. Every thing at the buffet station was pork. The milk fish was small and didn't have a lot of meat but they served it with the most delicious seasoned sticky rice garnished with fried garlic and shallots. The mini egg rolls were divine. I could eat those eggrolls like french fries. They were my favorite part of the meal. The pork was tasty but at times chewy but still flavorful. I'm giving them 4 stars for: price, good customer service, variety of food, and EGG ROLLS!!!!If you don't get anything else, order the EGG ROLLS it's worth it. read more

Finding a good Asian grocery is difficult in the SW suburbs. There are a couple near Orland Park, but with all of the road construction and traffic I was looking for something closer to home. Thankfully I found Manila Grocery here on Yelp and finally got around to checking it out. Went on a Saturday night around 6:15 and was the only customer in the store. Got to take my time browsing and checking out a lot of items that were new to me - even though it was difficult with the amazing smells coming from their restaurant at the back of the store (seriously, it smelled AMAZING). A huge frozen food section that contained the biggest frozen prawns I'd ever seen in my life (no joke), frozen premade lumpia, BBQ pork buns (made me think of "The Untold Story"), fish balls and more. Tons of canned fish, veggies, fruits, snacks and fresh bakery goods, too. Staff was very friendly and helpful and prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended read more

Tiny Philippino store that is easy to miss so keep an eye out! Small parking lot and it shares the store with a Philippino restaurant. They sell a selected amount of Asian food like dried goods, veggies, and sauces for you to make your Asian dish. They even sell big bags of rice. Stopped in for lunch the other day.. Food was pretty good and reasonably priced. Around $7 for a pile of rice and two portions of entrees. I had the pancit which was good and another dish that was kind of sweet with chicken and potatoes. Overall appearance was clean and tidy. Stopped in to eat but didn't see a lot on the menu. I ordered tocilog. It was a small portion, the rice was great. The tocino tasted a bit burnt. After I ate I walked in the grocery store and in the back there was plenty of the hot food I really wanted like dinuguan and caldereta. I just wished they would have told me it was there. Manila Grocery is a quite a drive from home HOWEVER every time I am in the area I see to it that I stop by and "peek" what's in their hot food area. All the time, I end up with a to go box! I love their pancit and chicken inasal, very tasty and close to home made cooking. The owners Maria and Jose Diokno are very people person and friendly! Love the lumpia Egg rolls. They are a hit every time we bring them to a party.

While at a party over the weekend a neighbor brought a large platter of bite-size pork egg rolls. Unlike Chinese egg rolls, they were absolutely delicious!!!! Since my neighbor told me where she got them, I ordered some for my family a few days later. I intend to bring these to an upcoming party. They are sure to be a big hit. The best I've ever had!!! Very clean and staff are all very friendly and professional. On occasion my family likes to stop by for some prepared food. The food is always tasty and there is a great selection. I have been to other filipino groceries and this is the best one. Bonus is the fact that they are close to home. We recently ordered food from here - pancit bihon-sotanghon, pinakbet, fried lumpia, puto, and lechon. Everyone at the party asked where we ordered the food from. I was happy to tell them from here. What a great compliment to the party. Lots of people thought that the food was home made. It was so delicious. We didn't have any left-overs except for some lechon. The lechon was prepared at the grocery and was PERFECT! Prices there are reasonable compared to some other groceries and quality is exceptional. read more

I am divorced from a Filipino guy but I still like my Filipino food, Everyone is so nice and helpful here, I just bought Avacado ice cream today and the nice guy even put it in a bag of ice for me as it was more than 90 degrees today. we bought their lechon with food package for 700 dollars and surprise... pig was totally empty inside.. no meat skin only and food was prepared day before.. i guess.When we questioned them after they said.. when you order package you get pig with no meat, when ordering pig only you get meat..... GO FIGURE. read more
