PAID IN FULL - THIRD GARAGE DOOR STILL NOT DELIVERED AFTER 11 MONTHS - This is a review I genuinely…read morewish I did not have to write, but I think other homeowners should know exactly what our experience has been.
In October 2025, we hired Jorge, owner of Master Garage Doors VIP, to replace three single-car garage doors at our home. He was cordial and professional, measured everything, and told us the doors would arrive in 4 TO 5 WEEKS. We paid 50% upfront.
In November, Jorge told us there was a manufacturer delay because they had run out of glass. We understood. Things happen, and at that point we had no reason not to trust him.
On January 16, 2026 roughly three months after our order, Jorge installed TWO OF THE THREE DOORS. He told us the third had arrived in the wrong color and would have to be reordered, with another estimated wait of 4-6 weeks. The two installed doors looked good and the installation was professional, so we paid the REMAINING BALANCE IN FULL, INCLUDING PAYMENT FOR THE THIRD DOOR AND OPENER.
That is where this experience changed.
On March 20, my wife asked Jorge for an update. She followed up again March 24. He said he would check.
On May 4, after still hearing nothing, she contacted him again. Jorge replied: "I'M SO SORRY I WILL CALL TOMORROW MORNING."
No update came.
She followed up May 7 and again May 11. Jorge then told us the third door would be installed "AT THE END OF THIS MONTH OR THE FIRST WEEK OF JUNE," and explained that the company kept sending him the wrong door.
June came and went.
On June 23, my wife contacted him again. Jorge replied: "I THINK THE DOOR IS RADY... I WILL CALL YOU FOR SURE, TO LET YOU KNOW."
He never called.
On August 27, after another two months, she contacted him again. NO RESPONSE.
September 2: another message. NO RESPONSE.
September 17: another message. NO RESPONSE.
At that point we found the manufacturer's label on one of the installed doors and contacted the manufacturer ourselves. We were told they had 11 OF OUR EXACT DOORS IN STOCK, that it was a common size, and that they DID NOT HAVE AN OPEN ORDER/INVOICE FROM JORGE FOR OUR THIRD DOOR.
That was the moment this went from frustrating to deeply concerning. What the manufacturer told us did not match the explanations we had been receiving for months about shortages, wrong doors, availability, and our door supposedly being ready. That's months of lying.
As of September 25, 2026, it has been MORE THAN 11 MONTHS since our original order, which was initially estimated at 4-5 weeks. Jorge has been PAID IN FULL. We still do not have the third garage door and opener we paid for.
We are now left trying to purchase a matching third door through another dealer because the manufacturer does not sell directly to consumers. So we're in the position of paying in full, waiting nearly a year, and still having to purchase a new garage door, with opener, install, etc. This is the equivalent of him stealing $3,000+ from us.
As Jorge initially comes across as caring, personable and trustworthy, the primary purpose of this review will be to hopefully save someone else from the stress, time, money loss, and honestly, the long term deception that we have endured in choosing Jorge and Master Garage Doors VIP. I'm now assuming the "VIP" stands for: Vulnerable Individuals Preyed-upon.
After repeated promises to call, multiple missed timelines, months of unanswered messages, and what we were told directly by the manufacturer, I feel an obligation to share the experience so another homeowner can make an informed decision.
