I grew up riding and wanted to find a place that would teach my daughter the reality and responsibilities of riding and they did it! From the first moment Jackie put my daughter to work, making her carry the saddle (which was bigger than her) and I loved it. They don't fluff things. They make them get down and dirty (even washing the horses down after the ride. This place is amazing! My son began taking individual lessons with Michele at the beginning of the year. He went from no experience to almost expert for his age in a matter of months. He has mastered the art of English riding and continues to hone his skills with the training he is getting from Michele. He is ready for his own horse and we will hopefully explore those options in the future with this center as their facilities are great! He also attended the summer camp which is spectacular. I highly recommend this ranch for parents who want to see their children flourish not only in equestrian activities, but also as to their character and discipline. Miami Equestrian is also very flexible with your schedule and they have very reasonable pricing. This is one of the best choices for hunter/jumper lessons in Miami-Dade. They have good facilities, gentle school horses, and reasonable prices. The school horses are most suitable for novices and intermediate level riders. For more advanced riders, they often have half or full leases available. The trainers are all very competant, and are particularly good with children. Their boarding facilities are also worth checking out, with plenty of riding facilities and good, attentive care. If you're looking for an unpretentious, laid back, comfortable, safe place to ride then look no further. From the moment we called we were treated kindly, and once our son arrived and took his first private lesson; he had no other desire than to spend his entire summer at the Miami Equestrian summer camp! Michele is a diligent trainer at getting her students motivated and disciplined in the sport, while maintaining a jovial, fun attitude. When we compare our sons advancement with the advancement of others riding at different facilities for the same amount of time, we are truly amazed at all he has mastered because of the training methods used by Michele. Miami Equestrian Center is the best place to learn how to ride horses. It is not only for kids. I am 42 and I started from scratch here. After about 15 lessons I already ride well and feel so confident about it. It is thanks to Michele, my instructor, who really knows the business.
