I'm giving them a 2 star after the one because "supposedly" the owner Becky is going to reimburse…read moremy last visit and the tip. I had always tipped because there was a service done, the bleach on the scalp took some time. However I've not yet seen the reimbursement, and basically was told by the owner Becky that I should have contacted her - which is what I did many a time. Her response is she has her front desk staff have the client deal with the hairdresser first, then she'll intervene. Well when this first happened, I called said it was purple in places and was told by the receptionist that "Laurie was busy she would call me back." Laurie never called me back, her receptionist did and said Laurie said to wash it a few times. When I said I had washed it 3 times already, the receptionist went back to Laurie and Laurie told her to tell me to wash it a few more times. Now Becky the owner states this is normal to see purple deposit as she basically blamed my hair and choice of color as the issue. I believe her correspondence to me here was "when you want it that light with no warmth there can be purple deposit from the toner." She states this as normal, makes me feel like it's my fault that I choose a hair color - yet the girl that did cover for Laurie on maternity leave, used the same formula, took her time because she was new to my hair, and my hair had ZERO purple tone when I left. Becky additionally tells me that it takes a skilled colorist to do my hair. No, a skilled colorist would not overlap the toner on already processed hair. I had seen two owners of salons where they stated it's all on how much time you take with the client, you don't rush to overlap on previously blonde hair. The owner messages me here saying that I ruined Laurie and her reputation? And that she works hard to build her business? My hair showing purple when it should be light blonde is a reflection on their reputation and how they allow you to leave the salon like that - stating it's all normal for my porous hair. She must not know that the salons I did talk to and one that I decided to go with, said any hair that's dark and stripped becomes porous. So to use that as an excuse for her employee's mistake is quite ignorant on her behalf. Lastly Becky claims I harassed them with 10 min messages. If you know of any phone recording that allows over 2 ... let me know. I guess harassing by saying you've asked for her on multiple times but she as she says allows her front desk staff to make the call on who I should complain to is a threat. I guess it's also harassing when you say you'll review how they've treated you and your hair. As I figured - my hair was blamed as the problem not the stylist Laurie, but yet a new hairdresser can get it this blonde with no purple? Yet according to Becky purple tinge is normal. *Keep getting their employees viewing my profile Laurie T or N who decided to delete her stuff, and a Michele M or T depending on how they use their maiden or married name. It's funny that they know I utilize billy for extensions at this salon and I've already contacted billy via text to tell them what we're dealing with. Keep getting other harassing dms through yelp from random profiles that just get set up - no reviews or a review of just this salon. So you show what Laurie does to your hair and you get harassed by their employees and friends. Have contacted yelp on this matter as well as others in this matter.

I understand that people get sick, but this was excessive. Even her colleagues once jokingly commented, "Oh, you're not sick today?" while I was there. The most recent cancellation is what pushed me to write this review. Kaylah texted me at 8:41 AM to cancel my 10 AM appointment due to a migraine. We rescheduled for Monday at 10 AM, but that morning, she texted again at 8:58 AM saying her alarm didn't go off and asked to move it to 11 AM. During my appointment, she mentioned she was leaving for Miami in two days and had a lot to do--after my hair, she was heading to get her nails done. I did notice my appointment felt shorter than usual, but I didn't think much of it at the time. However, when I got home around 4 PM, I realized my hair was completely uneven--one side had blonde highlights while the other had red highlights. Worse, some sections at the front weren't even colored at the roots. I immediately sent her pictures, but she didn't respond. The next morning, I followed up, and an hour later, she finally replied, acknowledging the issue but saying she couldn't fix it because she was still busy preparing for her trip. Instead, she suggested I call the salon to have someone else correct it, which was not the solution I was expecting. I reached out to her with questions about who would fix it and whether I'd be charged, but she was slow to respond. After multiple calls to the salon went unanswered, I contacted another stylist I had previously seen when Kaylah canceled. She fit me in and discovered that Kaylah had missed multiple sections of my roots. I had to get my entire root redone and foils added to blend the color properly. While I was getting my hair fixed, Kaylah texted to ask if I had heard from anyone at the salon. I let her know I hadn't and that my whole root needed to be redone along with foils to correct her mistakes. I also asked her to cancel my next appointment. At the very least, I expected her to offer a refund for the botched job, but she never responded. I strongly caution anyone considering The Beauty Call and Kaylah.

Finding a stylist who can accurately cut curly hair with my bangs has been next to impossible until I found Carly. Call me crazy but I drive 45min from Providence RI, and it is 1000% worth it!!!! They are very fairly priced and the environment felt super supportive amongst the hair stylists. I even got a deep cleansing treatment and it was so lovely! 100000/10, if you have naturally curly hair and need someone who can properly cut the curls to give the bounce, volume, and longevity of a hair cut you deserve. Go to Carly and go to this salon.

Total spent money around $1000 (specialist + tips). During initial consultation I was told it's around 2 sittings. After first sitting I was forced to give a fixed amount of tips. The 2nd sitting they no longer requested me to do so. After 2nd sitting I was told I had so much hair and it's really hard to dye to blonde from black. If I want the color lighter and more black hair to be dyed to blonde I can come again. Hm.. I think $1000 is too much to get a result like this. It feels like Julia doesn't have experience dying black hair to blonde (otherwise she should have told me her comments from day 1 evaluation so I know what I am getting from the money I paid). And it doesn't seem platinum to me :/ To make sure I am not giving an unfair review I posted my hair result here. If you believe below is expected for $1000 please ignore my review stars.
