I have perfect teeth and rarely ever need to utilize the dentist. I went for my first cleaning and then scheduled a cleaning for 6 months out. within those 6 months, I had an emergency appointment for irritated gum. they gave me the last use of a bottle of medicated mouth wash that wasn't covered by insurance, booked me a follow up apt I was contacted to confirm to which I CANCELED then the office manager Richard was extremely rude and hung up multiple times because I refused to pay for the missed appointment I CANCELED. I will make it my job to let everyone know how terrible and money hungry they are at this office. what a terrible FIRST experience. unprofessional and lack of communication with BILLING INFORMATION!!!!!! read more

Absolutely horrible! On my first appointment which was on an emergency. I lost a cap and needed to replace it. When I was checking out, I was told my insurance does not cover temporary caps and it would be $200 out of pocket. I was not prepared for that so asked if I could follow up with them at the end of the week. They insisted I fill out a debit authorization with Fridays date. I was not comfortable doing this but they did not give me a choice. My next appointment was the follow up, which I had to cancel with less then 24 hours notice due to a situation which was out of my control. I was told there would be a $75 cancellation fee. They said it would go onto my account once the appointment was cancelled. Since this was only my second visit as a new patient I asked that they waive the fee as my cancellation reason was beyond my control. They told me they may be able to waive it once they review my file for past cancellations. But would not confirm if they actually would remove it. The person on the phone proceeded to tell me that all medical offices do this. In all of my life I have never had to pay a cancellation fee. They seem to only care about money. What happened to patient care? If I didn't agree to put my debit card on file, what would they have done? Remove the temporary cap? I would not recommend them at all! read more

I've been under Dr. Cao's care for several years and have always been very pleased with her perfessionalism, compassion, personality and most importantly, her great work. I am very happy with not only her services but also her entire staff. Everyone on the team is very personable, friendly, on point and always . What a horrific experience! I am not sure where to begin?! I had to change dentists for insurance reasons. Serenity was in network and nearby. I arrived for my appointment on time one afternoon to no one at the desk, which is no big deal. After 10 or 15 minutes I started thinking...'hmmm?!' Finally the receptionist which is also the dental assistant came up front to greet me. She was pleasant. A good half hour or so in I was taken to the room for X-rays. There was no hygienist which I found to be strange... (also no television)... lucky me I got DR. CAO ... pronounced COW...she came and reviewed my X-rays and complimented me for apparently having, strong and healthy teeth (considering I am 37 and have literally never had a cavity) FANTASTIC! Now on to the cleaning which in my whole life has never been done by the dentist, but whatever! She was so very rough and made me super uncomfortable. I sucked it up thinking "this will be over soon." It became unbearable and I could taste blood in my mouth. I politely said several times " you are HURTING me!!!" No apology, nothing. She just seemed annoyed. At one point I almost got up and left (it was that bad)! This is coming from someone who has been to the dentist every 6 months for literally my whole life. I'm no stranger to the dental chair. A simple cleaning should not cause you to sit there holding back tears. She seemed SUPER annoyed each time I said "that hurts!" Totally unapologetic, no sympathy... kind of like she was having the worst day of her life and she hates her job on top of it. When the 'torture' was over she said "you are done you can go!" Truly NO personality. I proceed to the front desk to the again pleasant receptionist who asks me if I would like to make my next appointment. I tell her DEFINITIVELY not. She asked why and I explained my experience and said Dr. Cao hurt me and told her I was upset. She apologized. I got in my car and looked in my rear view mirror to see JUST what one might expect... a mouth full of ripped up, swollen and bloody gums. I walked back in and told the receptionist how upset I was and proceeded to point to my bloody, sore, gums. I felt and it looked like actual chunks of my gums were MISSING in places. She gets Dr. Cao who comes up front AGAIN seemingly annoyed and fully unapologetic. I tell her why I'm upset, again tell her she hurt me, she could care less. Finally it ends with her telling me I guess we just "don't see eye to eye." I left and my mouth was sore, bloody and raw for a good week. I contemplated writing a YELP review that day, which is something I've never done before. Time passed and I was "letting it go..." I kept thinking about doing a review since I had been treated so utterly poorly by Dr. Cao. Fast forward about 6 weeks late to today where I receive this GEM of a letter in the mail. Please see attached photo ;) Never I'm my life have I ever, ever, ever been treated so disrespectfully. Opening this letter was like pouring salt on the wound! The letter was uncalled for considering I already said I would not be returning and it's truly unprofessional. This just shows the type of business you run Dr. Cao. The only thing nice about your practice is the fountain you put in the waiting room! That's IT. Also, why would a dentists office put sugary snacks in the waiting room? People told me about how you get a complimentary massage... guess what no massage either. Needless to say I will happily be returning to my out of network dentist and will pay out of pocket. I wish it were possible to give you NEGATIVE stars. You are the owner and for some reason felt the need to treat me poorly. You should be ashamed. read more
