I had breast cancer and the plastic surgeon, Dr. Gabriel, used an internal mesh bra that was NOT FDA approved for such use. I keep getting bounced back and forth between Compass and the plastic surgeon and in the meantime not is being done to resolve the pain. I also have CLL. I'm losing muscle mass and Dr. Cosgrove refuses to refer me to the staff dietitian so I can be placed on supplemental nutritional shakes. If I'm not referred by Friday I'm filing a com with the Washington State Medical Board. You go to Compass to stay as healthy as possible and all they want to do is make me sicker. I HATE Compass Oncology. Their schedulers suck. Customer service is non-existent. Its a horrible place. If you have good insurance, go somewhere else!!!

Then, got a call from their scheduler, who was telling me that they were going to come the following day, with an appointment. Not only had they not asked about my schedule (I had a dentist appointment the following day), but had no concern about me telling them that the appointment would not work for me. I told her to cancel everything, but she said that the only person that could cancel things, was the salesperson, who owns the company. So I told her to have him call me. When he called, he said that he would have to charge me for canceling the appointment in less than 48 hours. I quickly pointed out that they hadn't scheduled the appointment with less than 24 hours notice, giving me no notice. After that, he promised to refund my money! It has been 2 weeks, 4 phone calls I've made, messages left, and them still not refunding my money (as promised)!! Don't trust them. They will steal your money, lie to you, and act as though their unacceptable actions, are your fault! Not a good company!! Outrageous prices, and no concern about the needs of the patient, or the massive charges that they have!! For your sake, look for someone better to assist you.

All things considered she enjoyed her stay…read more Sometimes it took a bit for a CNA or other staff to respond but she said that she really liked every one of them. She had a few that went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable. I believe one was named Nye and the other's nickname was Kai. Both very kind young men. Mom liked her occupational therapist and her physical therapist named Kyle. She often shared that Kyle was very encouraging. Skip, Sunny, and the other male nurse were all very kind and helpful. Mom said she thought the food was good. She didn't care too much for sharing a room but luckily her roommate was not too bad. The facility is definitely older and shows wear, but overall not too bad. A deep cleaning, repaint, and new window treatments, and more comfy seats in the rooms for guests would definitely help the overall comfort and ambiance. Overall our family's experience was really good and we are thankful for the good care and help she received from all of the staff at Avamere. :)
