The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is there are a few care givers that really care…read moreabout the residents and their needs. This place has a high turnover of caregivers so much so that the residents don't know who should be helping them and who are just there to visit. Most times there isn't enough staff to take care of basic needs. If you have an issue all you get is excuses and apologies. Whoever determines the meal plan is not from this geographic are. Things like collard greens are on the menu. The food is dismal and the residents consistently complain on a daily basis. If you are paying for a service, make sure it is being performed. You will be told that the resident refused the service such as a shower. You will need to be there to witness this or it will be 2 weeks before it is performed or longer if you don't question. You are still charged. On the upside there appears to be some effort to change the management at the facility. It will take time to turn things around. If you are planning on putting a loved one here get to know who your ombudsman and their role. Also make sure you have the number to the state to report immediately so corrective action can be administered. Don't expect immediate resolution as it comes down to a he said - she said situation.
