I was greeted by my waxer Amanda within seconds of walking in the door. She took me to my room in a wonderfully decorated space, the bed was SO comfy! Amanda brought professionalism to every moment without losing her sense of humor and made the entire experience genuinely fun! She was impeccable; asked every question that a waxer should before ever touching my skin, and knowledgeable about how to handle each of my personal variables. I'm a bit nerdy and she fully indulged my interest in all the products they used; which blew me away with the quality! Absolutely peak quality wax and oils, on a level I have never seen in another waxing location, for even the MOST sensitive skin! Which is super important for me because I have EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) and my skin is extremely sensitive and abnormally easily torn on a molecular level so when I say that I walked away with HAPPY, not irritated, skin after a full Brazilian wax, please know how remarkable this is! I have walked out of waxing appointments at other businesses bleeding on many occasions. Not only was Amanda exceptional in her knowledge and manner, she was thorough! I have lighter hair and generally have to point out missed patches to get a clean finish but when I checked everything -- NO NOTES! Then to top it all off she had an aftercare kit for me when I was checking out! And if all of that doesn't tell you how wonderful and wildly above standard quality this was, I was in and out in 22 minutes flat.

I am used to my appointments being 15-20 minutes long because they pride themselves on quick service. My boyfriend and I share a car and we had to go pick up his kids from school before my appointment and then I told them to just wait in the car because my appointment would only be 15 minutes. Easy peasy. Kids wouldn't get antsy or fight and we'd be home by 4:30 (my appointment was at 4). The morning of my appointment I got a call that my waxer was out for the day so I would be with someone else. Which is totally fine with me! Until it wasn't. I got to my appointment right on time, then was told I had to wait a few minutes. Which is fine because I usually have to wait about 3-5 minutes. 10 minutes goes by and my waxer finally came out to take me to the back. I've never seen her before at this location so I assumed she was newer, but I know they train well so I wasn't worried. Finally she starts my wax and it's all going well and she's chatting with me and making me feel comfortable, she is pulling my skin taught so it doesn't hurt and it's going really well! Then she kept going over the same spot, over and over again. Which I know is because she wanted to get all the hairs out, but I felt it getting later and later and I knew my boyfriend and his kids were waiting in the car and I just knew that they were getting antsy. Anyways, she did a great job, but I checked my phone at the end and it was 4:50!!! 4:50?! 40 minutes to do a Brazilian. I'm fine with having a new person, but I would've love to know she was going to take that long for my appointment! That was ridiculous!! And no one even seemed to apologize about it. When I finally was at checkout, I didn't even want to schedule again because 1. I didn't know if I'd want to come back to this location, even though it's the closest to my house and 2. I was now in a rush because my appointment was 35 minutes over what I thought it would be. We had someplace to be and now we were really late for it. I'm really disappointed in my service this past experience. Warn your customers if it's a newer waxer and if they take longer so they can plan better. You are in customer service after all! I won't be back at this location. Be better Mill Plain EWC.

My wife has been going there for about a year and…read morehad a terrible experience a week ago and was too distraught to post the review so I asked her to calmly explain what happened. She arrived and was instructed to sign in. She filled out her name and started to answer other questions such as email and birthdate. It was not an IPad and the keyboard was different than she was used to. She got frustrated trying to backspace and correct spelling. Knowing that she had used the salon just three weeks prior she didn't feel they needed all that info to be repeated so she gave up and sat down. A man she had never seen before approached her with the tablet and pointed out nicely that the info was not completed. She stated that the salon had the info from her appointment three weeks ago and she didn't need to repeat all the information again. He stated that she did indeed need to fill it all out. She stated that it wasn't necessary as it was in their system. He said she HAD to fill it out. She was frustrated with his attitude and stated that she could just use another salon. He became angry and told her to "please leave". She was taken aback and stated that she had an appointment. He restated that she was to "please leave. Just leave please! Go! Leave please." Her hair stylist started to approach her so she told her she was being kicked out. She asked why and my wife told her she didn't fill out the information. At this point the the man is continuing to point and repeat in a raised voice. "Please leave! Please leave." The number of times he stated "leave please" was shocking. She turned to go and stated that he was rude and she left the salon. This all happened in front of the hair stylists and all the clients. She was stunned and couldn't believe she had just been kicked out of the hair salon by a man she'd never seen before. She was also shocked that her hair stylist did not contact her to reschedule (though she would not have done that anyway) or to check on her after being yelled at and disrespected. Apparently there was no concern for well being following such a publicly escalated incident

This was supposed to be a relaxing experience but turned out to disrupt my next few days. Unbelievable $80 for this is absolutely insane. Got a pedicure here and the lady cut the side of my toenail down all the way to the cuticle. I can't walk on my foot because my big toe hurts so bad. I screamed when she did it and couldn't believe how much of my toe nail she cut off. When I got home, examined all my toes and she cut all of my toe nails at an angle and ruined the shape of my nail? I have no idea why. She did not paint my full toe nail. She painted about 70% of my nail and didn't paint any of the sides, got tons of polish all over my skin. Had to take today off because my toe hurts so had. I'm praying it's not infected. It's going to take forever for my nail to grow back and probably be an ingrown. Not to mention the entire time this lady was trying to up sale me on getting a more expensive pedicure and I kept refusing. It was exhausting. I am beyond pissed at how much my toe hurts. I can't believe it. Do not come here if you value walking. My friend came here and had the exact same experience. Except both of her toes are in serious pain. Go to lavish nails instead.
