I went here expecting to find lots of handmade items (based on my internet search which seemed to…read morebill this store as the best source for handmade goods in my area). I was extremely disappointed by what I found: a giant store full of made-in-China crap priced as though it's handmade. In other words, it's a store full of overpriced junk that I wouldn't gift to anyone I actually liked. There are a few booths with handmade things (one is a very interesting booth of clay art eyes and embroidery featuring Bigfoot, crows, and other cool things that I might give some of my more esoterically inclined friends). Other than these few legit booths of handicrafts, this store is a complete dud.

How many times have you driven down Hwy 92 without even noticing this shop? After a quick drop-off at the neighboring UPS I darted in, without knowing what kind of store I was walking in to. Surprise! A light and airy space -- the former WalMart supermarket -- with scores of booths selling art, clothing, gifts, jewelry -- you get the gist. Unlike flea markets with a hodgepodge of sellers and items randomly placed, this store is well laid out with items carefully displayed. (A nutty thing to notice, but even the signage at each station is nicely printed and posted. No makeshift signs.) There are dressing rooms up front and clean restrooms. Even a lounge for vendors! Most sellers have discounted their holiday merchandise, with some offering reductions on all inventory.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this shop while walking around Crabapple Market in Milton. It has a nice layout, with this charming, organic style to the interiors. They have an eclectic variety of houseware items, unique gifts, and even a small kids section. The majority of the items in the store are unique things you might not find elsewhere. Natalia, who I believe is the shop owner, has a passion for selling fair trade artisan goods. Evimero Marketplace surely stands out for carrying great products that are skillfully made by artisans, and it's a bonus knowing that those artisans can earn a living wage! I picked out some lovely ornaments at the shop in the month of December, and received many compliments on them when I had a Christmas party recently. The best thing I found here was this 5-year prayer journal made by Hosanna Revival. This journal is the first of its kind, that I've ever seen, where it's designed in a way to help you look back on the pages of your life and see the prayers God has answered along the way, and see how your prayer on January 1st of this year differ from January 1st of the year before, it's brilliant and well made! I will be back in for a visit when I want to treat a friend, or myself, to a gift that's sure to leave one feeling inspired. If you're in the Crabapple Market area and enjoy entertaining at your home and shopping for cute items, you must visit Evimero Marketplace, a real treat!

    $$$$

Stopped by the shop for the first time yesterday. We've been to the square in Roswell many times…read more(we live in Johns Creek, so we're really close) but I've never been in the shop before. I didn't even know it was there, its pretty far off the square but we parked so far away yesterday that we walked by it. They had a gorgeous June Cleaver looking dress outside so I wandered up to look at it. I kept moving after seeing the $169 price tag. It wasn't $169 pretty, trust me. On the way back to the car later we walked by and they had put a rack of dresses outside with a sign that said "Buy 2, get 1 free". So I'm thinking great! I might not pay $169 for simple, non-brand dresses but I'll pay $100-$200 for 3 of them. The prices marked on the dresses were ok, still a little on the high side but not horrible, $70-$90 each. I pick out 3 and head to the teeny fitting room that doesn't even have a mirror and try them on. The salesperson was pretty close the whole time (a little suffocating) and as I was trying to discuss the dresses with my partner, after discovering that only one fit, she told me that we would get 1/2 off if we just got the one dress. Great! The dress was marked $85 so I'm totally good with $42.50 for the dress. I still thought it was a fuzz high, serioulsy you could get a similar dress at the mall for ~$30. Just kind of a plain, boatneck cotton tank dress, nothing outstanding about it. I do like to support small business in the area so I'm willing to pay a little more. I am NOT, however, willing to be fleeced. At the register we were charged NINETY dollars. I reminded the associate that the dress was suposed to be half price (this was the same associate that had told me this originally). She proceeds to tell us that its half off the ORIGINAL price of $169!!!! Wait a darn minute, that's not what you said and that's not what the sign said!! We did buy the dress, my partner knew I was on the verge of creating a scene arguing with the sales person so he forked his credit card over before I could refuse. He can certainly afford the cost, I can afford the cost but it was SOOOO not worth $90, how could it have even been $169 to start with? These are not designer or even name brand dresses!! In my closet there are $10 dresses, $20 dresses and even $100 and $200 dresses. But you better believe that if it costs $100-$200 some brand name is going to be on it. I'm now saddled with (no returns) a no-name $90 tank dress. I DO NOT appreciate being fleeced nor do I appreciate deceptive advertising, it just makes for a bad business model. You may have gotten a sale off of me, Bilt house but you lost a woman that could've been a good customer. Seeing your limited selection of clothing at horribly inflated prices you can't afford to be alienating customers that way, I suggest you rethink your methods.
