Take the elevator straight to the 8th floor for Reception. Check-in with staff was pretty straightforward, and there are communal work tables with outlets, conference rooms in various sizes, and telephone rooms to choose for your workspace. They also offer complimentary coffee and tea. You're also in the heart if LT, which means tons of great food and drink options just steps away. Open from 9am-4pm, I stayed for a few hours in the morning. It was pretty quiet for the most part (they play soft jazz in the background) except for this one group that was using the large conference room for their meeting.

Most of the vendors were splendidly dressed in dapper three-piece suits and gorgeous, flowing 50's dresses with rockabilly hairdos. Rubber stamps sold individually or in a set. Poems, drawings, cards, stationary, soap, jewelry, and mini telegrams all for sale. Outside had a lot of photo opportunities with 5-foot standing LOVE sign, artwork on the walls, and a man with free haikus. There was a food truck that had vegan options: Asian fusion food. Indie Desk is located in one of the Wells Fargo towers on South Grand, across from MOCA. It's a…read moreprestigious address, in a safe, clean, well-lit office area. There are plenty of guards, and in order to go upstairs, you have to check in with the lobby manager and get a pass. Once you have established long term tenancy with ID, then your regular pass gets you through. The floor itself has been taken over by ID with scores of empty cubicles leftover from some Wells Fargo days of banking excess. The day we went to check it out, most of the cubicles were empty. It was quiet, clean, and the manager was very helpful and friendly. The views are incredible and there are good shops and cafes in the building next door. Transit options are easy as well, with the DASH bus dropping off right in front of the building and picking up across the street. ID will have to work with the building management to re-install missing ceiling tiles, and clean the carpet to create more of a professional setting. Entry into Indie Desk requires one to walk through an abandoned part of the office, and it's a bit ghostly and disconcerting. So they need to focus on the entry as well, and the impressions a good entry can make. The bathrooms are well maintained, but the kitchen looks abandoned, and could use a good cleaning, organizing, and regular use of the dishwasher, rather than letting cups sit out on the counter. Their rates are reasonable, the views are great, the manager is helpful without being overbearing. He lets you get work done. Sign ups and payments are easily made online.

The office space we rented had lots of natural light and was furnished with quality items. Every place should have motorized, standing desks as their default option! The amenities were really wonderful. Most importantly, the dynamic duo of Ashley and Ashley make Studio a wonderful place to be. They are responsive, attentive, accommodating, engaging, and really just two of the nicest people you will meet. We did our best to try to stay at Studio but unfortunately, there was just not a good fit for our unique needs as an organization but rest assured, we are sad to be leaving.
