First time having Firehouse at this location and I had a pretty quick and seamless experience…read more Service was friendly and accommodating considering I came in during closing hour. There's plenty to choose from and they have three different size options - which is nice. My go-to is always an Italian sub, so needless to say that's what I ordered. I subbed out the ham for turkey and I believe it was an extra $1 and some change. The Italian made for a great sandwich 8/10, even for the next day as I intended to have it for my flight back to LA. I ordered all of the condiments on the side to prevent sogginess. It was filling and meat portion was fair. As a pickle lover, Vickie's Spicy Dill chips immediately caught my attention and felt like I needed to try them! There wasn't much pickle flavor to them and spice level was low. Not sure I would get them again. But I will say that they do have that nice crunch / texture that you look for when having a sandwich. They had a hot sauce bar with great unique options - the only downside was that the tops were crusted up and not adequately cleaned, leaving residue which was less than appealing. Bit of a turn off as it is a self served hot sauce bar and all of the customers are taking from the same bottle.

The food was served in a basket (paper plate pics no more). My kid had the little girl chicken nuggets, adorably served in a paper truck. The nuggets were fantastic. Our lunch included: + 1 Terror Burger (Add Pepper Jack Cheese) = $11.78 + 1 Terror Burger (Add Swiss Cheese) = $11.78 + Green Chile Burger (Add American Cheese) = $12.58 + Sprite = $2.99 + 2 Milk Shakes = $13.18 The habanero sauce that was served on the side in a small cup without us even asking definitely had a good kick. I tried both of my girls' milkshakes. Our server really liquified the heck out them - not what my girls were expecting. Still, the fries were really good. The patties on our burgers were a bit thin, but overall a decent burger.

RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4 | Service: 5 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 4 PARKING Ample. Free. LOCATION/AMBIANCE You really can't miss the big sign outside. It's located on Main Ave on the south end of town. Inside to the left is the meat market. It's clean. Organized. Other produce & goods were available. The fresh meat & ready-to-eat options looked nice. To the right was the restaurant grill. I was going to stay to eat, but there was a rather large group, consuming most of the booths and tables. Plus it was raining outside so I took my order for takeout back to work. My food stayed relatively warm all the way to Hobbs. THE GRUB On Thursday 1/4/2024 I tried the barbecue sandwich with fries ($7.99) on the lunch special menu. The bread was kind of flaky. The sandwich itself didn't seem substantial, but with the fries that were obviously the frozen variety it was a filling lunch for me. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB I did not see a kid's menu. SERVICE Fast & friendly. MY FAVORITE PART... Good alternative for lunch. NOT SO FAVORITE PART... Wish the daily lunch special prices included a drink. TIP A drive-thru is available.
