Closed Saturday and Sunday. Open only 11-2 Monday through Friday. We were disappointed because they menu and reviews looked good. The hours posted here on Yelp currently say they are open but they are not. Location is just one block off the main street. I have to give it a 5 star because this is the middle of a culinary desert. Great BLTS. Mediocre ice tea. Bring a wrap. It's rather chilly!

A must stop!! Stopped here because of other Yelp reviews and was so glad we did. We agree with others...do NOT be swayed by the exterior or decor! The food was awesome. I had the grilled cheese and bacon which was phenomenal and I asked to have their side of potato salad instead of the chips and was so happy I did. Probably the best potato salad I have ever had. My husband got their brisket loaded potato and said it was awesome! If you are taking the back roads to Albuquerque do not pass this place up! read more

Great place to stop for lunch between our road trip from Santa Fe to San Antonio. Sandwiches were fresh and came with an extra treat! They prepared our sandwiches to go so that was a plus also. I would stop again on another trip. read more

Decent place, not overly priced and friendly staff. There isn't much between Lubbock and ruidoso so we thought we'd stop here. My husband said he felt like we were at a potluck because they served us on styrofoam plates and cups. I had the daily special, chicken Alfredo. It tasted very homey. Not something you'd compare to Olive Garden but more of a fazolis type of flavor. I wasn't excited about this place and will not be back but I also wasn't disappointed, it was meh and better than the other options the city had to offer. read more

Like one of the prior reviews indicated, don't let the rustic exterior scare you off...the service is friendly and the fare is way better than anything nearby. I'd suggest going with the daily specials which aren't on the menu...look for the flyers attached to the entryway. Hidden gem! Well worth watching for the small sign on the side of the highway pointing down the side street to the location. If you are headed south and pass the DQ you've gone too far. I had half a BLT and soup yum. My wife had a loaded baked potato with fruit, my son had chicken Alfredo with salad, father had club sandwich. Everyone said it great. Glad we stopped by. This is solid place to get a good light lunch. I had the BLT. Good crunchy bacon, nice toasted wheat bread. Also had the strawberry chicken salad with raspberry vinaigrette that is very light yet filling. Love it comes with Captain wafers. Do yourself a favor, skip the DQ and come here. read more

As I drove through Plains I stopped to eat here and I absolutely loved it. The place was filled with locals and is obviously a well liked place in Plains (for good reason). I got a BLT and it was yummy and the ingredients were fresh and the bacon was crispy! The staff was west Texas kind and I quite enjoyed my lunch! 10/10 would recommend if you are driving through at lunch time! To those special dietary needs: there isn't a ton for you here. I didn't see gluten free options and I had a little bit of a time with being dairy free but the BLT works for that read more
