The "mom-and-pop" restaurant is very authentic and woman who runs it is super nice and friendly! I often want to try new dishes, but have my favorites as well - any of the Chicken Specialties dishes, Fish Curry or Fish Vindaloo (hot!). If dining in and not sure what to order, I'm always offered recommendations that never disappoint. We always start with the samosas and an order of garlic naan and cheese naan are givens. Tip: ask for more mint sauce after the papad :) The 2-person dinner sets for just $278 are a great deal and include A LOT (4 starters, 2 mains, naan, rice, and soft drinks)!

Went here for a quick bit to eat for lunch with some work colleagues and was pleasantly surprised…read moreby the taste and quality. This is a Chinese style vegetarian food where they use meat substitutes to look and taste like real meat. Normally I am not a fan of this, I love vegetables but if i want some cha siu pork, I'll buy the real thing.... In saying this, the food was delicious. We ordered five dishes to share between the four of us. Their fried rice was delicious, it was an interesting mix of asparagus, egg and avocado. We also ordered a plate of cha siu "pork", Peking style sweet and sour "steak", taro "fish" cakes and and an egg, broccoli and "crab meat" dish. All came out hot, in the Chinese style of when they were ready and not all together. All the fake meats resembled the look and taste and texture of their meat equivalent except for the taro cakes. They just tasted and felt like taro, not fish like at all. This was fin as they tasted delicious as taro cakes. I would recommend coming here with a group as it will be hard to order a variety of dishes if you have no one to share them with.

It's in Tin Hau, around 30 minutes walking from Wan Chai and as we fancied the walk, there we went looking forward to an Indian meal. As we walked the street towards Palki I realized I had been to the area before, and I really liked it! It's lively, yet not extremely busy. Palki has a very homey feeling to it; the seats are comfy and, well everything else is Indian style. We ordered chicken Tikka, beef Vindaloo, saag paneer and lamb kebab. Yeah, you heard well, they have beef on the menu, first time I've ever seen (or noticed) that in an Indian restaurant. And that's great, because I do like beef. The dishes were amazing, fair amounts and great flavors. I specially enjoyed the saag paneer, which is one of my favourite dishes ever and it came full of spices and flavors. It was slightly spicy, just perfect. The chicken Tikka was amazing, the meat ultra tender and flavorsome! I wanted to pick the 'star' dish but actually, I did enjoy all of them and can't decid which one I would have picked had I had one choice! Prices are fair too, main meat dishes around 80-90 HKD and we paid 360 HKD for those four dishes. What was supposed to be an uneventful evening turned into a great end to the day. I would recommend this place and I'm sure I'll be back for more! Ps: since the place is rather small, you leave with a deep curry fragance!
