I have had 3 procedures, vasectomy, rezuum, stone removal surgery, and each time I had no doubts the procedures would go flawless and they did. Each time Dr Lieb explained me what the recovery would be like and if I didn't know better I would think he went through each procedure as he was spot on. First thing he said as he entered the room was he wanted to cancel, but figured he would still see us. I guess he wanted the insurance money. I was also taken back by his mannerisms and language. Every other word was the eff word, he kept wanting to fist pump, kept asking if we were offended, and continued to tell us why he would not help my husband. His answer to my husband's situation was... it's life and deal with it. It was a terrible experience. I've had some not so great appointments with doctors, but this one beat them all! I was stunned. He wasn't receptive at all. Definitely not open-minded. If you want a conservative and a doctor that isn't up to Date on things...he's your guy. If not, don't bother. It was a waste of time.

So, I set out on what I thought would be a relatively easy assignment: find a urologist/surgeon who had the skills to do my surgery, who also put their humanity at the center of their practice! In plain words....someone who legitimately cared about their patients who was also at the top of their skills as a surgeon. I didn't know that requiring these two qualities from my urologist would set me out on a quest. I met five urologists spanning the entire Bay Area, before finally meeting Dr. Jeremy Lieb. Each one of them had thriving practices and the capabilities to do my surgery, but they all lacked the humanity and giant heart that I encountered when meeting Dr. Jeremy Lieb. I, like many other men who have this surgery, had a lot of anxiety about the possible negative outcomes that could occur. Like most surgeries it requires great skill and finesse of the surgeon. Dr. Lieb has all that and more. He is quite simply at the top of his skills as a surgeon. Dr. Lieb's also has an enormous heart, and his practice reflects a deep compassion for his patients. Everyone on YELP says similar things to support this claim. What an accomplishment that someone who works as hard and diligently as Dr. Lieb, day in and day out, is still capable of authentically caring for each one of his patients. I still believe that a patient going through a surgery should feel that he has a relationship with his doctor, and a belief that his doctor actually sees him as a person, and not just a procedure. If this is important to you, you've just hit the jackpot!! I was rolled into surgery knowing that I was in great hands, and the confidence I had in Dr. Lieb not only made the experience pleasant (I know, hard to believe) but, it also played a big part in my quick and complete recovery. Dr. Lieb gets Five Stars for his skills - Five stars for his heart - Five Stars for his intelligence - Five Stars for his practice. He's someone you want in your corner when you're going through a major moment in your life. He's someone you won't regret putting your trust in!! He'll be honored by having your trust and will guide you safely through the moment. The results of my surgery have produced a profound increase in my quality of life, and I have had no negative side effects whatsoever. Dr. Lieb was masterful in performing my surgery which turned out to be one of the more challenging TURPs he's done. I'm writing this review some ten months after my surgery. Everyone of my follow-up appointments have been equally great experiences, and Dr. Lieb is diligent in all aspects of his practice. What a gorgeous human being!!!! How she got a job there or anywhere for that matter I will never know. I really think someone should explain to her that she actually works in the medical field and people are actually in pain when they are trying to get in touch with the Drs. that work at this medical facility so a much more pleasant demeanor would be a lot more acceptable. This discourteous individual then proceeded to tell me that the Dr. doesn't have any appointments until a month from the time that I am actually calling, then basically hung up on me. I will never be recommending anyone to NorCal Urology and I will be letting my primary care doctor know how unprofessional and rude the front desk is over there as well, as they might not want to be referring patients to such an unnecessarily nasty experience. I then proceeded to make an appointment at a different establishment where the receptionist who answered was friendly and courteous and very thorough and this place will be seeing me by the end of the week. So no to ever wanting to go to or recommending anyone to NorCal Urology when there are so many other establishments that hire competent personable people who know how to answer a phone. Second attempt in the morning, answered after a 5 minute hold time.
