Recently I had 5 boxes but was not sure it was up to their standard, I emailed Kathy all the item pictures, she thanked me but they were not to standard as I had guessed, I did not have to drive there. I dropped the content to the VNA sale in FarHills for Morristown Medical Center. Kathy told me she was looking forward when I would go again. Always a pleasant positive experience with anyone at the counter!

I'm not in Maplewood all that often, generally when I'm shopping at the equally awesome City Workshop but when I do, I always make sure to hit up Perch. I procured an old floor lamp that has a very antique period piece look to it. When trying to adjust…read moreit one night it snapped in two. I didn't want to just let it go since I really liked it's look and how turning it on was activated by a floor switch is unique. I brought in the lamp and the techs looked it over described what appeared to happen - where the break was, the condition of the cord, the hinge and the adjuster. They seemed to know what they were talking about as they went on to describe to me what they were going to do to repair it. They quoted me and gave me about a week of time to do the job. The followed up with me and called when the lamp was ready. After picking up the lamp I am very pleased with the job, they made it so the lamp can be adjusted as I tried to do before breaking it, albeit I have to be careful as it never really was meant to be adjusted. So if you have an antique-y lamp or light device or just a lamp you like in general that needs service try here. My price I felt was fair but hear they can run high on some of their repairs, but there aren't a whole lot of places like this either. I can say though, they did a good job with my lamp.

She insisted I come to her store in Short Hills. She was helpful there and we got through what we needed. I got a quote. Negotiated a bit, got me a better price. Still way more expensive then other places, but I was hoping for better service. Guy came the next week. Measured. I had to stay home and miss the morning of work - yes miss more work- because he would only come between 10:30 and 3. Not convenient. But whatever. Then the quote changes to an extra 400$. Now the place is WAY OVER PRICED. Anna said it was because it was an outside mount. However, in the store I gave the correct measurements, but she didn't add on enough for an outside mount. How is that my fault? Or ask where I measured? Warn me even? No, nothing. Then they just cancelled my order, returning my full deposit because they didn't like that I complained about this. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. I hardly write bad reviews, but I couldn't let these people get away with this The one good review that got posted the day after mine (because I told them I was posting a bad review) is a person that only has 1 review on all of Yelp. Don't trust it. Stay away from calico!!!
