We went to check out and the line went way into the store itself. There were 25-30 people ready to checkout! What a joke! There was ONE CASHIER for all these people. The cashier wasn't in any hurry at all! She was taking her sweet time checking people out. When it was clear we would be in line for at least an hour we just left our cart and left the store! Fast forward a couple months and once again we went to Gabe's for some good deals. NOT a good idea! Once again we went to checkout and we encountered the same damned thing! They had art supplies, hobby stuff, and furniture no one needed but everyone suddenly had to have. And when they came back out, bags in hand, faces lit up like the manger scene at the courthouse, you could tell -- for a moment at least -- they'd found joy, or a close enough imitation to get them through December.

It had a sitting area with a fireplace and giant screen television in the shop. Used Books were priced at $5. They had new & signed books written by local authors .
