However, the rate charged by this company for the service call is a lot more than the going rate for other plumbers. The cost for the first hour is $249. Also, although I wasn't charged for it, the technician told me there was an incidental charge of $15 for the rags they use for clean-up. I have never heard of this before, and given the price they charge for a service call, I thought that was a bit excessive. This company was recommended to me by someone I trust, but I will be doing more research next time and calling someone whose rates are more reasonable.

Baker Septic was the third septic company (also spoke to a plumbing co.) I spoke to and was by far the kindest and most informative. Gigi(sp?) deserves a raise! Everyone was booked for at least a week, but with sewage spewing onto the ground, it had to be taken care of immediately. Can't stop pooping! Had to opt for a same day service with extra charges - small price to pay for peace of mind and knowledge acquired about our home's system. Erik, the technician, provided absolutely stellar service, educated me thoroughly on our system and recommended maintenance. He texted when he was close so I could expect him, was fast, efficient, and pleasant to deal with. If Gigi and Erik are any indication of type of business this is, consider us Baker Septic fans and customers! If you're dealing with these two, you're in the right hands!
