NEW LOCATION IN 2019!!…read more Amazing service, staff and pharmacists that go above and beyond what is required of them. Despite the Rexall name, this is a local small business. As such they excell at customer service you will not get at big corporate pharmacies. I don't live in, or within a few miles if Nipomo, but this is where I go to get my prescriptions filled. They moved in 2019 from their old store on the north side of Tafft between US 101 and Thompson to a brand new corner building about the same distance west of 101. The new store is clean and beautiful, and better stocked, and still has great parking access. Small personal pharmacy, they take many types of Prescription Insurance coverage plans. Very very pleased with service, polite, friendly, professional and outstanding communications. The pharmacist and staff go above and beyond, and in my case have literally spent hours on the phone dealing with my insurance, and also make the monthly approval calls to insurance for Schedule II medications (I am a chronic pain (intractable pain) patient. But MOST IMPORTANTLY can fill (in my case anyway) very difficult to fill prescriptions including prescriptions big national chains refuse to fill or are unable to fill because their suppliers don't stock. Conveniently off 101 freeway on Tafft about 3-4 blocks west of US 101 (on the South side of Tafft a few blocks after the VONS shopping center). If you drive 101 between SLO or 5-Cities, and Santa Maria or Orcutt seriously consider getting your Rx's filled here, particularly if you have difficulty finding Pharmacy's to fill some of your medications. Then show them a little love by getting all your monthly and 90 days medications filled here. You will not be disappointed.

I am sad to say we cannot recommend this local, independently owned pharmacy. We switched our…read morefamily's prescriptions over to JDX after Rite Aid closed in our town. We wanted to support a local business. I recently required several prescriptions postop for a knee replacement. There was some drama in that, whatever system JDX is using to process insurance claims was showing me as having no insurance (we called and confirmed with our prescription coverage that I do indeed have insurance). Even with that, we were willing to continue using JDX as cash payment customers. Last week, my surgeon called in a refill of my pain medication. They received the prescription on Tuesday, by the following Monday when I had not received notification that it had been filled, I called inquiring if they had received it. I was then told that the pharmacist needed to speak with my doctor. The girl on the phone stated they needed some more information since I was not an established customer (they had just filled four of my prescriptions five weeks earlier). About 20 minutes later I received a phone call from the pharmacist, grilling me about why I needed this medication (mind you, this was the exact same prescription they had given me five weeks earlier, with no questions asked ). Understanding that it is a narcotic and a controlled substance, I was happy to answer all of his questions. Then he wanted more detail on a known allergy to a similar pain medication that I used several decades ago. Then he wanted to know if I use another pharmacy... I explained that we have an online pharmacy that I use for maintenance medications in which I received a 90 day supply. Our intention has always been to use JDX for those incidental, short term prescriptions that we need from our doctors (we have used this same set-up with other pharmacies, with no issue). He asked why I did not have this prescription for my pain mediation filled online, I explained that I did not need a 90 day supply, and we wanted to fill it locally. The pharmacist then informed me that I needed to either switch all of my medications over to JDX, including the online prescriptions, or not use JDX at all. We opted to discontinue using JDX and will be transferring all of our prescriptions to another local pharmacy. This has been a very disappointing experience.

I just moved to the area and was excited to try this salon after my mom recommended it, but…read moreunfortunately this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I made an appointment online ahead of time with Julie. When I arrived, I told them I had an appointment and was asked to sit down. About 10 minutes later, they told me they *didn't have my appointment*. I even showed them my confirmation and confirmed the address, and instead of taking responsibility, they asked if I was at the right salon. At that point, they asked if someone else could do my nails since my appointment "wasn't there." I agreed, but honestly, I should have left. I was seated with Mai. I came in with long, natural nails that I really loved. She asked if I wanted them shorter and I said, "just a tiny bit shorter." Before I could even clarify, she immediately grabbed the clippers and cut one of my nails way too short without checking. I was shocked. When I told her how upset I was, she just said "sorry" and continued cutting the rest of my nails down basically in half. I was honestly devastated. Then came the color issue. I originally picked a yellow but changed my mind because with my nails now so short, I wanted something I felt better about. I asked for a purple shade. She brought over a color board, I picked one, and then suddenly I'm told it's $5 extra. Why bring me an upcharge option without saying anything, especially after everything that already happened? The colors weren't even anything special. I declined and picked something similar that wasn't extra. The quality of the service just kept going downhill. The polish was messy, getting into my cuticles, and she didn't clean it up before curing. She also applied two coats of top coat on one hand and only one on the other. Overall, this experience was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. The lack of communication, poor technique, and disregard for what I asked for was unacceptable. Also, for the record - I *did* have an appointment, as I received both a confirmation and a follow-up "please leave a review" text afterward. I will not be returning. I would strongly recommend going somewhere else unless you're specifically seeing Julie, and even then, don't count on your appointment being honored.
