All their stuff if overstock not old like these other people say. I even had my makeup artist of 10 years look at the makeup and she was amazed. The people saying "discrimination" Make me laugh with reviews-I'm Mexican and if someone is rude they are just rude, not racist. I experienced no such thing. I was in a rush too, but she was so helpful and even checked ALL my items before I left Incase someone opened it or it was damaged. Everything was perfect! I spent $42 I got... The Cosmetics Company Store is the outlet for all brands under the Estee Lauder Company. This…read moreincludes Bobbi Brown, MAC Cosmetics, Clinique, Stila, Origins, Prescriptives, Estee Lauder, and American Beauty, among others; those are just the brands I've actually seen in the store. They sell items from these lines at a discount of up to 30% off retail. Since they're a TRUE outlet store, their stock will vary from shipment to shipment. If you call and inquire about a specific item (for instance, Bamboo eyeshadow by MAC), they can tell you if they have it in stock, but cannot give prices over the phone. As an example of savings, I saved $4 on an eyeshadow; $6 each on a couple of brushes; $6 on pigments... I've only purchased MAC items from there. The items they carry may be from a limited edition collection, or may be an item from the permanent collection that was a little older (I've found shadows there with a date code from just last year; the shadows are fine). It was a pleasant surprise to me to find brushes here; they also have makeup bags and train cases from time to time. A plus for this store was the size. I've been to two other CCO's, and this one was easily twice the size. The clerks were all friendly, too. If you visit, make sure you ask if there are any eyeshadows, blushes (etc) of the line you're interested in in the back that aren't out. While they have testers for the vast majority of product, there are sometimes things they don't have testers for.

I like the layout, the staff is great and they are always stocked. I've been to the one in Naperville and the one in Plainfield and they are just not the same. The staff at this location is always extremely helpful, friendly and always greet you with a smile. I'm lucky that this location is close to my work and I'm able to get there on my lunch break. You have to have a cosmetology license to shop there though.

However, I have infiltrated said store several way. Those being: my two best friends, my bf. I've frequented CosmoProf several times and have always encountered friendly staff that's willing to come out from behind the counter to assist me with looking for nail polishes (I have the bf to retrieve my hair needs). The staff is always really friendly, even to an outsider like myself and usually chit chat w us while we browse. The prices are a-may-zing..I mean really, you can't beat $4.50 for a bottle of OPI. I also have gotten great deals on hair products such as $8 bottles of Aquage finishing spray, awesome sales on liters of shampoo and conditioners of all varieties and countless other products (ehemmm Quick Tan spray for $10). The only minor bummers are that a) they do not sell Essie, b) they sell out of OPI collections quickly (since this is beauty industry exclusive and those people are always quick to snatch up whatever's hot)..and c) I cannot shop here unsupervised, which may actually be a good thing since I'd surely head home with one of everything if I was left to my own devices.

I'm only reviewing the Portraits service of JC Penney's at this location…read more We had scheduled our appointment for Aidan's first birthday portrait (and xmas picture) about a month in advance of the day (11/22/08). We scheduled it online and received a very nice email that told us all of the things to remember prior to coming for portraits. This included bringing toys and changes of clothes so that you can have several shots. We arrived about 20 minutes early to a crazy group of people just milling around this tiny section of the store. We checked in and they asked us to have a seat. I listened to the people at the counter and found out they were over 20 minutes behind. This isn't something you want to hear when you have an 11.5 month old who is fidgety to begin with. They were pumping people in and out of the photo room (they only have one) in 10-12 minutes. I have to say that the women who take the pictures do a GREAT job of getting the kids to smile. We watched several groups and it was amazing that they got so many kids to look good. After the pictures are taken, you then wait another 10-15 minutes for them to digitally download and for a sales person to then take you through all the shots and the "specials". JC Penney's does a great job of issuing coupons for sets of prints that will cost anywhere from $7.99 - $9.99 but let's face it, you normally don't get out of these situations for under $100. The shots of our little guy were very good and I was impressed. Our sales person wasn't impressive but knew her stuff and tried to get us to spend more. I'm confident the shots will come out wonderful, but beware that they try to sell you on the "photo club" thing which gives you free sittings for two years and some other bennies.
