Personally I made an appointment in November with store owner Lori for a basic makeover and some new ideas. Lori was extremely knowledgeable on current trends and the best products for my skin type/color. She took time with me to try new things and for me to learn new techniques. Since that November day I have been slowly replacing my "high end" makeup with Merle Norman. My favorite product so far is The Energizing Concentrate !! It adds so much to your skin and makes it radiant. I rarely even follow it with foundation now. Don't forget to checkout their cute boutique items too. Lots of cool things will be found.

I like that they do free spa treatments and free makeovers. Also I have sensitive skin and I don't think that any of the makeup I tried made me feel itchy or anything like that which is a plus. Walgreens is also a convenient place to grab a quick gift or greeting card for those last-minute gifts and they have a nice variety of food and snacks. I've popped in for a pint of ice cream, a frozen pizza or a bottle of wine on several occasions.

The prices are higher than what I typically spend for body care products but I will say I'm enjoying the wrinkle cream sample and may return for this particular item. Lake did a fantastic job of educating us on the product, reviewing our skin's hydration and dryness levels as well as sending us home with samples that are relevant.

While leaving the store, I was reviewing the rewards on my app and both were gone. I went back inside to inquire and after a few minutes and no resolution, the clerks advised me to call customer service, speculating that the reward or coupon must have expired. I found it odd that it was there prior to my visit, there during my visit and gone after checking out. The discount was not reflected on the receipt because I checked that as well.

When I shared this was why I was asking, and she stated that I was "being rude and she wasn't trying to lose her job over doing anything like what I was asking." Whew, I've always had great customer service in this store until today.
