I came to Square One to pick up an order at The Littlest Gift Boutique. I decided to walk around a…read morebit to figure out what stores were on the second floor. Frankly, I hadn't been at this mall for nearly two years. The only places that I recognized were Walmart and Real Fruit Bubble Tea. What caught my eye was Sukoshi Mart. It felt like déjà vu. I discovered queenie's cards by seeing a giant Pusheen plushie showcased behind glass. It was the same thing with this store. I walked up to said giant plushie and looked at it longingly. To get that plushie out of a mall and into my car would be quite the feat! I decided to head inside to check out the store. I dig it. It has a bunch of Korean and Japanese items. The boba tea air purifier was cute. There were indeed Pusheen and Hello Kitty collaboration plushies, including the two that I was carrying from The Littlest Gift Boutique. It's also a convenience store. I looked at all the cool beverages in the fridge. The exotic KitKat and Oreo flavours made me salivate instantly. The only downside is that the prices on these items are higher than what you can find at an Asian supermarket. It's the only reason for not giving this place a perfect rating. Perhaps prices are marked up because it's a store at a mall. There are also Korean beauty products. There are masks that you can put on your face. I like them, even though I look scary with one on. Thank goodness I do it from the comfort of my own home. It's Halloween every time I use one! A female staff member was so friendly, welcoming me to the store. You don't get any staff members stalking you or making you feel uncomfortable as you wander around, which I appreciated. The Samyang ramen stopped me in my tracks. They looked so enticing, but I feel that you can get them cheaper elsewhere. There were lots of gift ideas, from sleeves for your hot beverage, to toast plushies. Okay, maybe forget about giving them to others. I want to gift them to me! I'm glad that I found this store. I loved being here. (368)

Do you envy those Korean stars and singers for their perfect clear porcelain skin? I do! I would…read morewonder how they ever got that perfection and wished there was an easy way to try Korean skincare lines without travelling to Seoul or suffer the parking lot disasters of Pacific Mall. Finally, Face Shop opened and I was so surprised on how much they stocked and at the reasonable prices. Considering its all directly imported from overseas, a lot of these were less than Sephora and Bay prices for most medium line skincare. There is a lot of incredible knowledgeable and friendly staff here who didn't oversell me. They knew exactly what to try to get what I wanted (that porcelain skin but highly reactive to vitamin C). I really appreciated how they gave a cute gift with purchase and also a few samples for me to try when I bought my Belif brightening natural face mask. I've used it for a few days so far and the staff was completely right. It gave a lot of moisture with zero reaction. Now I'm hoping to see the brightening effect over time! I'll definitely come back to try more.

My mother spent $36 and I spent $116. She got over 15 facemasks and random accessories (eyelash curler...) I bought scrubs, sleep masks and makeup. I easily got over 20 things. The woman who was helping us, was easily one of the nicest people in ANY cosmetics/skincare shops. She answered all my questions (I had quite a few!) She did not look down upon us at all and did not pressure or hover. TESTERS for almost everything in the store, we also got over 10 samples to try out. One of the best stores ive been to in a while and will surely return. ~S.A.Reed

Rather than attempting to help, she immediately became defensive and told me to contact HR. When I asked for the HR phone number, I was told they "don't give that out," which made no sense and only added to the frustration. After I stated that the situation was absurd, the employee accused me of being rude and refused to help any further. Since she was unwilling and clearly not in a position to resolve the issue, I walked away and received assistance from another employee without any problem. Overall, this interaction was handled very poorly, completely unprofessional and lacked basic customer service skills.

Shay said that they need the same credit card in order to refund me, which I did not have at the time. I explained that I waited a very long time in line and I work every day. I would be unable to come back before the refund period is up. Shay said that there were no options beyond a store credit, which was not what I wanted. I asked her to explore other options, and she said that she would get her other manager who "would tell me the same thing she told me". The second manager was actually very helpful and provided a shipping label so that I could ship the items back and have a refund automatically go onto the credit card that I didn't have in possession. I said "Shay, you see she did not repeat what you said, and there are other options" she then was very rude and rolled her eyes, stating that she didn't need life advice from me. I don't believe that the customer is always right, but I do believe that it is our job to go to every extent to find the best possible solution for our customers. Eye rolling and poor communion skills don't make for a good customer experience.
