I was doing a $0 consultation and they wanted to have it in case I didn't show up. Well, needless to say, the consultation is for me to decide if I want to be a customer and I've decided your policy makes me NOT want to be a customer. Whilst I understand their policy, if you can't trust me to come when I say I am going to come - then I'll take my business to someone who trusts me as a customer!

She had given me some options with an estimation of how many treatments I would need and showed me a variety of results from other clientele. Given the cost...I was slightly hesitant so I waited a couple months to book it. They book about a month in advance. Ultimately, I got the genius RF microneedling done. While the procedure was painful to say the least even with the numbing...Rachel made me feel comfortable in going at a slower pace on some parts of my face. She had offered laughing gas as an option but I declined and endured the pain. Literally, I'm 4 days out since I had last it done. I peeled on my chin and nose area yesterday...but if I'm only this far out, and full results are expected in 8-12 weeks...I WISH SOMEONE HAD TOLD ME ABOUT THIS PLACE EARLIER! They seriously do some magic here. A few days ago I went in to get some products (sunscreen and silver gel) which was recommended in the aftercare instructions and the lady at the desk who helped me was informative and very helpful. I didn't feel pressured at all in buying the products knowing I'd have to invest.

I met with Jodie for my consult and she gave me some very honest advice - she informed me that fillers would not be a good solution to one of my problems. She advised me of several other options (one of which was not offered at Aesthetica). I felt very safe in her care because she wasn't just giving me what I asked for, she was helping me make an informed choice, even though it meant less business for Aesthetica. So I did get fillers in one area and I am REALLY happy with them. Jodie is really good at what she's does and my face still looks like my face - just refreshed. Some FYIs - I think the consult was $50. When I paid for my service they deducted the $50. My fillers ended up costing ~$600 in total. There's also a rewards program that you can sign up for to get discounts on future services. I will definitely be back.

As a bonus, it's also a very beautiful facility. I had laser treatment for broken capillaries. I thought the price was reasonable and I was surprised when it included a follow-up visit two weeks later and they did a "touch up" of two spots. I'd recommend this place to to others. The only bad part is that they are only open during "business hours" Monday through Friday.

I visited this salon three times as a model client for student haircuts. I was about to have my 4th visit, but received a call informing me that I was banned because "multiple students reported being uncomfortable with my text messages." I was very surprised by this, as I only connected with one student on Instagram upon mutual consent (as I wanted the pictures and she agreed). I did not message any of the other 2 students. When I called the supervisor to understand what happened, I was told that she did not know the details of the reports but was enforcing a ban as a matter of policy. I respect the importance of maintaining a safe learning environment for students. However, being banned based on unspecified allegations, without any opportunity to clarify or respond, was disappointing. I hope the salon can consider implementing a more transparent process when handling concerns involving clients in the future. I would have welcomed the opportunity to clarify or address any concerns prior to this decision.

That's why you go in with an open mind and don't pay an exorbitant amount of money. I have definitely had some lackluster experiences here but again they are students. The teachers are always around and able to lend a hand and usually the students are quite skilled and knowledgeable. I love that they are using Aveda products and I'm only paying half of what I would expect to pay somewhere professionally. The school is usually pretty clean. Recently they added salon beds where you can lay down to get your hair rinsed at the bowl and that is a treat because if you've gotten your hair dyed before or even just washed, you know those seats can be uncomfy. I've been going to the school for at least 4 years now and I will continue to go back.

It's refreshing to receive a service when you can tell someone is truly passionate about what they are doing. Second, the service itself was amazing- I had no idea how incredibly relaxing a facial could be! I left feeling like my skin was so "breathable" AND all the tension in my neck and shoulders were eased. Truly an all around experience. Definitely will be working routine visits into my budget...it's so so worth it. Third, it was also a learning experience (mini biology class, but I do ask a lot of questions:) ) She talked me through everything and gave some product recommendations at various price levels, but was never pushy. Overall I can't say enough about how great my experience was. If you've ever contemplated getting a facial (or any of her services for that matter!) or are looking to try a new place out, please give Micki a try. You won't be disappointed.
