They always offer a pretty good variety of sample gifts to pick from and you have the whole month of your birth month to redeem your gift reward. When we walked in we were warmly greeted and helped. This is a stark contrast to how I was treated at their San Jose location. I was really impressed by the kindness I received and for the ease of picking my birthday gift. I looked around the store, first, before making my selection. This store is a bit petite but it had everything you could need or want. I loved the layout of the store and how neatly all the products were displayed. I finally made my way to the checkout to make my selection for my birthday reward. There were 5 options. Two of the 5 options were out of stock, so I picked the K18 Biomimetic Hairscience samples. I was very pleased with my choice and look forward to try the samples in my hair. I had a brand-new gift card with a balance of $50. Before entering the store, I checked the balance and confirmed that the full $50 was available on the card. At checkout I used two gift cards. The first card was accepted and the remaining balance was used successfully. However I was then informed that the second gift card had a balance of $0, despite the fact that it was a new card and I had verified the $50 balance shortly before entering the store. Since I personally verified the balance immediately before shopping, I am very concerned about how the funds could have disappeared. I have been a loyal Sephora customer for years, spending between $200-$800 per transaction on a monthly basis. During a recent visit to the LG location to process returns, I was denied an exception for two items that were one day outside the return window -- an $80 perfume and a $45 lipstick. I had no issue accepting that several other items fell too far outside the policy to return. My concern is strictly with the two items that were one day over. Retail customer service best practices -- especially for high-frequency customers -- typically allow for reasonable discretion in situations like this. The sales associate refused to exercise any. This is not my first disappointing experience at this location. Customer service standards here have consistently fallen short over the years, and this visit confirmed that nothing has changed. Sephora would do well to empower its staff to make common-sense exceptions that protect long-term customer relationships. read more

I've only been to this location twice and both times were disappointing and almost discriminatory. The first experience I had here was in Oct 2025 - I was never greeted or asked once if I needed any help. There was an in store promo going on specifically for Rouge members (a free Dagne x Sephora bag) that I overheard an associate tell someone else. When I went to checkout the sales associate didn't even tell about the promo until I brought it up! The response was "are you Rouge and do you want the bag?" Had she bothered to check my account, she would have known that I've been Rouge and qualified for the promo. It was condescending as hell but I got my promo bag and left. I should have reported this incident then but left it alone. The latest incident happened today 9/27/26. Again, never greeted once. Didn't see a single associate on the floor even asking if anyone needed help. The store was also not busy, I stopped in 15 minutes after they opened. There were multiple promos going on that I unaware of (4x the points for DAE, Charlotte Tilbury) because sales associates never said anything and there were 0 tags indicating as such throughout the store. Ultimately, I never even got the 4x points for eligible products that I purchased. In both experiences, I've shown up to the store in sweats and no makeup because I had just come a hike and the Sephora was the only convenient location. Not sure if this is why I was treated but regardless I will not be returning. read more

We were having lunch with my mom who's visiting at the wine cellar when I noticed that there was a Sephora in Los Gatos. It's been a few years since we've been downtown as we live elsewhere now. Anyhow, I told my mom and husband, I was just running in for a few products and I would be out in a quickly. How wrong I was. Each Sephora seems to put products in a particular place, so not all stores are the same when I couldn't find the Sunday Riley quickly I ask an employee who told me it was in the back corner on the wall. It was not another employee told me it was across the store. A third employee started to take me there when she said oh hang on I've gotta grab some thing and she never returned. Trying to find help in the store was difficult and I was told by the person who checked me out that they are incredibly understaffed and after all it was the busy holiday season at which I could only laugh it's Halloween Finally, after finding all the products I went to stand in a line that was not moving typically when I'm in a Sephora in San Francisco or elk Grove, I'll have employees come up and ask me if I'd like to check out they can do that on the handheld devices they have When I stood for 10 minutes and the line hadn't proceeded 1 inch I went looking for an employee to do such a purchase, there was one employee at the register with a decent size line. Another employee was behind her fiddling with products. I had one employee outright tell me she wasn't working only to see her working a few minutes later I finally went up to somebody in the front of the store and said hey are you able to help me check out, she looked at me like she didn't understand what I was saying I said on the little machines you guys have I would like to check out Finally I said please I would like to be checked out and she did so I would never go back to this location. A classic Sephora carrying a large variety of brands. It is a bit smaller than other Sephoras I've been to, and they sometimes do not have the deep inventory as a result (I've had to purchase from other locations when they ran out of stock and I was in a time crunch). The employees here were very nice and knowledgeable, though it was a bit understaffed and you had to look around to find them if you needed help. They also had issues with their computer system and finding my account. Not a big deal but would have liked for things to go smoother. read more

Easily one of the BEST Sephoras ever. I have only come here maybe 3/4 times and everytime I do I am immediately greeted and helped right away. Amazing customer service! Today I was in such a rush and I was helped by the wonderful Claudia. Claudia was so nice, professional, and helpful! She helped me find everything I needed to be in and out fast. Great customer service! A++++++++++++++++++ This store is always so clean, bright, organized, and very well taken care of. ALSO can I just say this is easily one of the most beautiful, scenic areas for a Sephora. The outer atmosphere is absolutely lovely! They have so many super cute restaurants near by and the parking lot is very large to find spaces easily. It is the perfect location for lunch and a shopping trip. I'll go out of my way to go to this Sephora. The associates here are super sweet and non judgemental. I used to put on a full face of makeup to go to Sephoras (Santana Row, Valley Fair, et al) and I feel you're treated different if you're a beauty guru, verses coming in bare faced or minimal. At Los Gatos, it doesn't matter! Sure, parking can be a challenge but what do you expect from a small bougie upper tax bracket area? I've been to a lot of Sephoras in the Bay Area. I brought my mom here in search for lipstick and for myself was looking for a particular perfume. I was helped by Lin, she suggested new scent of this particular brand and very helpful. My mom was assisted by Eva, let me tell you.. She went above and beyond! Took her time to assist us, my mom tends to change her mind and ask a lot of questions. She was looking for this particular shade and was out of stock in the display area, she made an effort to look for it at the back. She was all smiles and really vibed with my mom and I. Being my local Sephora i love coming and going in an out quickly. The staff is all very nice and helpful however today i went to make a return and one of the ladies who helped me yesterday was the one assisting me with the return. I had asked her for help to find a hand cream to leave in my car (something small). She recommended the Sephora collection hand cream which was a great size. I came home and the fragrance of the cream was too much so i wanted to return it along with a chapstick (unused and sealed). She asked why i was returning the cream and i told her about the fragrance. She recommended the agency hand cream which was a bigger bottle and x3 the price. I let her know i want something small to keep in the car and not expensive since i wouldn't be using it regularly more as needed while on the road. She turned and said well its only $18 dollars its not that much. While checking out she then said maybe i should check out the dollar store.....im sorry i have spent close the 350/400 this month at Sephora and the only things i returned was two small items. This is a review for their makeup service... I booked a 4pm "full face" at this location weeks ago to get ready for an event I had coming up. I get called at 1020am the day of the service and told the employee called in sick and they needed to cancel my appointment. Didn't try to rebook me at a different t time today, or with a different employee. Said they could schedule a different day ( doesn't help when the event is today) then suggested I try to book at a different location. Would have been nice had they took it upon themselves to offer a similar time appointment at a different location instead of " not our problem figure it out" type of service. read more

Amazing service, welcoming and knowledgeable / friendly staff, stocked with all my favorite brands. Closer and better parking then Santana Row / Valley Fair. Love love love this location. I'm specifically writing this review for the gentleman that greeted me at the door who ended up helping me pick my Nars shade. I came in on my break & I told him I was in a rush but I needed to make an exchange in a few days. He immediately said he'll give me samples of the 2 foundation shades we were going back and forth on. Not many Sephora employees offer samples and I thought it was so sweet that he did. This review is based on my daughter's experience at this particular store. The location of the store is good but the people that work there not so much. My daughter has experienced the same bad or lack of customer service at this Los Gatos store location every time she has shopped there which has been about 10 times in the past 6 months. The reason why my daughter shops at this location is that we live in Los Gatos and she has yet to drive so this particular location is just close to our home. However, today my daughter and her friend were shopping at this store and while paying for their purchases asked the sales associate if there were any free samples that they could have. The sales associate just rolled her eyes at my daughter and her friend. What kind of attitude is that? I would recommend going to the store at Oak Ridge Mall as the sales associates over there are much friendlier and it's an overall more pleasant shopping experience. read more

What an awful experience. I don't want to be a Karen but I don't want to ever shop at Sephora again. The product that I purchased burned when I applied it. I lost my receipt and they couldn't find my purchase from my banking statement because it wasnt itemized and they usually use ur credit card used previously but it didn't work. Not one to leave reviews but super disappointed with my makeup service today. I will admit I was 10 minutes late to my 60 min appointment but the makeup artist didn't finish my face. She sent me out with my false eyelashes lifting. Once I left the store both came off. Very frustrating considering I had a photo appointment an hour later in San José. Not only did my falsies come off but I asked that she cover my freckles and redness and my forehead appeared to have little to no coverage. She didn't set my makeup with setting spray or add any contour. My look was incomplete. I did not think it was worth $60. The makeup artist was sweet and I was under a time crunch so I tipped her an paid but I felt rushed out because her next client arrived. Sephora shouldn't book back to back visits with no coverage. If clients are paying a service there should be a late grace period because my face was unfinished eyelashes not properly placed but i was sent off. Would NOT recommend because if you're late your face won't be finished. read more

Our daughter is getting married on Sunday 9/4. My wife had her makeup done last week at Los Gatos Sephora liked the out come and scheduled an appointment for 9/4 morning of the wedding. She was just notified by them that they cannot do the appointment on 9/4 due to some bullshit reason. You cannot expect these people to meet there commitments. read more

Of course it is impossible to enter Sephora without looking at other skincare & make-up products. What i was most impressed with this Sephora location is how helpful the sales representative was to me. Jackie assisted me she was well informed on the product line I had questions about. Jackie went above & beyond to help me. She help me select the perfect brow shade color for me. I found Jackie to have such a positive attitude, friendly & very enthusiastic to help me.
