I can't stress enough how much I appreciated the kindness, patience, and sparkle she has. I came to buy cosmetics. I don't buy $600 hope in a bottle creams. As the daughter of a dermatologist, I believe in prescription Retin-A and plastic surgery to change my skin dramatically. I also buy Paula's choice products and something called Babchi. I can't use Paula's most popular product, a BHA lotion, b/c I am allergic to the active ingredient in it. If I could, I would use it on top of my Retin-A. It is a great product. I believe Sephora sells it at all of their boutiques.20% I do use 4 or 5 of her other products as well. I use a pump of one of her serums, her vitamin C super booster, a pump of her hyaluronic acid booster, a drop of her 20% niacinimide booster, a drop of her peptide booster and a few drops of her moisture oil to soften the effects of the babchi. I put them in the palm of my hand, mix them together and put them on top of the Retin-A. Even though Retin-A seems expensive, one tube lasts at least a year. As soon as I tell the sales person that I am uninterested in skin care other than Paula's choice, they simply address my cosmetic needs. The salespeople are knowledgeable about the product lines and able to offer recommendations when asked. I did check to see what Paula's Choice products they offered. They have some as does Nordstroms. Also when one of the lipsticks I purchased did not measure up to the representations, they cheerfully took it back and credited my account. When I can't buy the Paula's Choice products at Sephora, I buy it by mail and they don't charge shipping. You can also purchase it on Amazon. read more

Never going going back. I confronted the front staff and the lady said we do have samples but wouldn't even get off her chair to give me any. This location is pretty busy because it's in Century City Mall so during sale time it's pretty chaotic and harder to get assistance so that's my main reason for knocking this one down. Also because it's popular sometimes things you are looking for or want to pick up are out of stock (so try to purchase online first for store pickup to make sure it's there). I booked a appointment to do Halloween make up. When I arrived and got introduced to my make up artist, I had immediately felt a very negative vibe from her. She was not friendly at all. Did not want to talk about anything. I actually felt very uncomfortable. I showed her an example picture of what I wanted and she was very negative about having the pink colors which was extremely weird for me because Sephora has the most different color make up and literally has everything that could've made this happen so I had to walk around the store to help her find the colors that I wanted When I sat down, she still looked very confused with a very angry, bitter face. I wanted so bad to ask for another girl who was across the way doing another girls makeup very beautifully and they were seeming very happy and talkative with a positive attitude. I stayed quiet and let her do her work. I immediately could tell it was horrible. I think my five-year-old niece could do better eyeshadow than this. I asked her to blend the top and she said she couldn't. I felt like she won't wanted to make me look ugly on purpose . It is nothing like I wanted. I still stayed quiet and just couldn't wait to leave. I can't believe that I had to pay for this. ... example of the picture I wanted and how I left. I went home washed off all the make up and immediately how to do it myself. And did a way better job than her and I am not even a professional. I think this is one of the better-stocked Sephora's in L.A. I never ask for help when I am there because their vultures dressed in black annoy anyone who wants to shop in private. You are literally approached every 5 minutes by an employees, which is soooo unecessary and takes away from the entire shopping experience, oh yes and that damn stupid basket they want to force on you. Except this time I was able to go finally get some new eyeliner! I asked them what a good eyeliner was since I had loved the discontinued NYX epic brush tipped eyeliner, they suggested the one/size pen eyeliner and this stuff is amazing, doesn't budge at all!! I always bypass the Sephora closest to my home and come to this one because the customer service is so much better. The employees are mature and knowledgeable about the products and always provide a positive in-store experience. My recent visit was specifically to purchase a Tom Ford fragrance but I wasn't sure which one I wanted to get. I was greeted at the door and the front store associate immediately let the lady in fragrance know I was on my way to the back. The lady in Fragrance was very pleasant and engaging. I told her which Tom Ford fragrances I wanted to test and she gave me a detailed description of each one as I smelled them. I liked that she was also able to share which ones she liked and why...ultimately I was hooked on the Tobacco Vanille; sold! I also purchased Jazz Club by Replica, which is truly reminiscent of what my summers usually look like hitting up all the local jazz events... The store is very organized (easy to locate products) and well stocked. Customer service was great from beginning to end and with the help of the fragrance lady I noted a few more scents to purchase later. read more

This is the Sephora in the Westfield Century City Mall. It is located near Macy's. It's a pretty large storefront. I like that it's in the mall, very convenient. They always seem to have the products in stock that I'm looking for. Customer service can be hit or miss depending on who you get but for the most part, I enjoy shopping here. Sephora is a great store in general but it's a chain so you probably already know about the brand. I came here on Halloween and had trouble getting someone to help me (but hey, I can totally understand on this day, as Halloween is a holiday where people will be needing their makeup). One girl was having her Halloween makeup done by one of the artists and she looked amazing. I would definitely recommend getting it done here. Then when I got in the line and it was long, the sales lady told me that the concealer I wanted to buy was a sample. Why wasn't the person that was helping me choose the product and match my shade telling me that before I got in the line to pay. This store is located within the century city mall. You can park in the garage and the first hour is free. The store is huge and well lit. The staff members are friendly and may greet you at the door. It gets busy but it's not like there's a line out the door. I came here to exchange a foundation that I bought online and the process was seamless. I tried on their sample foundations to make sure it was the right shade and I was really happy with how easy it was to trade a product for a different shade. The line was about 5-10 minutes in the evening. I didn't need to wait for credit or anything. The staff artists are really knowledgeable and helpful. They carry a tremendous amount of products in store too. Overall, it's a really friendly place and it has gained my loyalty because of their app and service. I only ever go here to shop for makeup and their app has made me more interested in makeup than ever. read more

Everyone is wearing a mask and maintains social distance at the store. They also make sure to tell every single person entering the store what to expect due to some changes related to covid, such as not touching items and that employees will assist as much as they can. I absolutely loved that it wasn't crowded inside and that I can actually hear what the employees are saying to me, which usually was tough pre-covid times bc Sephora was always busy whenever I went to the actual store. On my visit today 11/22/2020, Michelle was the absolute best!! She helped my husband and I with picking out our cologne and perfume. She was patient with us and I really mean patient since my husband and I wanted to try most of the scents on the display for both men and women fragrances. She recommended fragrances and products and gave thorough details of items. She even told us about deals we can take advantage of and really was helpful during our visit. She even noticed that we were waiting at the register line to pay and went out of her way to assist us! I definitely 10/10 recommend going to her for fragrance recommendations as she is very knowledgeable! I will definitely be coming back. read more

I do not shop at Sephora as much as I used to, but I like going to this location. I've changed my makeup routine through the years, and my favorite makeup brands are now also available at other places that offer better discounts. I've been here at few times, and the employees are nice and helpful. It does get very busy on a weekend afternoon, but the line moves fast when you are ready to pay. They keep their inventory well stocked. I recently stopped by with my $20 VIB holiday coupon to pick up my go to items, which included the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer and Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder. The grand opening of Sephora century city is today and all the staff is super welcoming and nice. I found out about the grand opening from Christine who worked at the promenade location but transferred to the century city mall. She caught me walking through the door and immediately recognized me. She set me up with a make up artist who introduced some products to me as she applied them on me. This is one of the main reasons I like Sephora so much. Your not just there to buy but to also learn about the products. The store was super crowded with what seemed to be more staff than customers. It was well organized and all the testers were brand new. I felt special trying on some things knowing that I was #1 to try them. Haha. They also had dry bar employees there curling clients hair and introducing some new curling techniques. My hair was already curled or I would have let them give me a make over. Haha Sephora line is also getting to be very comparable to some of the name brand products and is very affordable. You have to try their lip stains. They last all day. Parking is available in the structure. Gelsons and AMC do validate so you can stop at gelsons on the way out and get validated otherwise I believe it's $1 for every hour. read more
