Avoid this location!! Been here a few times and they are rude every time. On my last and final Visit: I found my own product then had to wait for a cashier to come check me out. Cashier ask me what I needed(obviously to check out mind you someone called over the walkee for help as no one was behind the register). Cashier rushed me along toss my items in a bag and walked off. Just unnecessary and rude smh. Seems like they pick and choose which customers they want to help. Not sure what the requirements are. My office is located in the Fuse Office Space and I walk past Sephora every time I at the office. Well, I had about 20 minutes to kill while waiting to meet someone last Sunday afternoon and paid for a parking spot in front of the store and walked in with my daughter to see if we could find the perfect foundation for her pale skin. We made eye contact with two black ladies working the floor on the right side of the store and also with an Asian guy on the left side of the store. They dismissed our presence and stood around doing absolutely nothing. The girls were basically getting paid to stand there and chitchat. I noticed the guy practically turned around to face the wall and pretend he was busy staring at the products on the shelves. This is probably one of the most visited Sephora stores in HTOWN and if this is how they run their business without a care in the world to provide excellent customer service, then be prepared to lose some customers. Appalled, a lady made a rude comment to me upon entrance. I was walking a bit fast towards the back because I was in a bit of a rush due to parking. When I waited in line and was ready to check out I had accidentally forgot my pin (new card) . I told the rep that I needed a moment and she asked if she could skip me and get the next person. I said of course. Found my pin in 2 secs and waited. Right after 2 long transactions (I was in a time crunch) I asked her if she could charge me real quick. She said "no , go back in line , you don't know your pin" in front of everyone. I left . Ridiculous. Don't come here please. A small drive to the one at memorial is better ! read more

I made a lap around the store to look for an employee that was helpful on a previous visit, but didn't see her and approached two other ladies and asked if they worked for Sephora. One of them said yes, so I began to tell her about my skin concerns. I quickly realized that she did not in fact work for Sephora but was a sales for Clinique (1st lie). The whole reason I wanted a Sephora employee was because I wanted someone who wasn't going to be bias towards a particular company, but I also mentioned to her that I do not buy from Clinique because they animal test. She quickly responded that they only animal test for products that sell in China and wanted to sample some of their products on me ... I told her I do not buy from ANY companies that sell in China at all. She goes off to say "ALL companies sell in China" (2nd lie). Before getting me an actual employee she told the employee something along the lines of, oh she wants to hear it from you instead of me. By this time I was pissed, but still needed help with my concerns and the employee was actually really nice. However, I started noticing different employees and reps staring at me from the end of the aisle like I was this outrageous customer causing a scene. I have NEVER in my life experienced such rude and unprofessional behavior all because I didn't want to purchase from a company that tests on animals! I felt so humiliated by how the employees and reps. Will deff be going to the Memorial City location from now. read more

The employees at this location were helpful. When we had questions, they were able to answer them quickly, accurately, and wisely. They didn't shy away from suggestions for products similar to what you're looking for, sometimes at prices friendlier to the wallet. I'm a guy, and I came here shopping for my wife and other ladies in the family. My wife was with me, but we both had questions as we were fully satisfied with our answers. On the other hand, this location being empty while we were here caused at least 6 employees to ask us if we needed any help. It can get pretty annoying, especially if my wife and I are having a conversation and we are interrupted by a, "Can we help you?" If we need help, we will approach an employee, like we did once we had questions to ask. We were offered free wrapping for Christmas, and the boxes for Christmas looked pricey themselves, but it was complimentary. That was a plus. My cousin and I went to City Center/ Town & Country to do some casual shopping on our day off from work. I saw Sephora and a 50% off lip products sign through the window, so I went in to check it out. Straight away, ALL of the employees were standing to the right of the entrance when we first walked in. No one greeted us, or asked if we needed help; they just stood and rudely stared at us with a stand-offish demeanor. No one was friendly and they looked us up and down in a very judgmental way. A man behind us (not with us) even started to walk in and took one look at the staff members as they began to stare at him in the same manner, and he turned right around and left. I had thought about doing the same thing myself. My cousin and I were definitely uncomfortable, but I chose to still inquire about which products were included in the lip product sale. One of staff members told me which ones were included, but then three of the workers hovered and acted like I was going to steal and then I picked my item and quickly got in line to pay at the register and we stood there for five minutes while employees looked at us, but no one went to the register so I could make my purchase. Then a lady walked up behind us and she was helped immediately before us. I didn't make a fuss about it, but I couldn't believe I was followed around, stared at, but then when I try and pay, the employees just stare and don't help me until AFTER taking the lady behind us. The long haired male employee at the register looked at me with disgust when I finally get to pay, and I asked him how to say the lipstick shade name of the product I was buying and he acted like I was offending him when I genuinely just wanted to know how to say it right for when people ask what I'm wearing. He didn't ever tell me how to say the name which whatever no big deal, but he also didn't say have a nice day or anything and all the employees just seemed like they wanted people to not come in and shop and if you did, they just want you to leave. They don't care at all about customer service or making sales, apparently. I wouldn't even treat someone I disliked the way I was treated. It was a horrible experience, and I will not be returning to this Sephora ever again. Went in to grab a pickup order. I was greeted as soon I stepped inside. One of the ladies asked me for my name on the pickup and told me where to go to pick it up. I wanted to grab another item, which I almost forgot until she asked me if I needed something else. She walked me over to item, grabbed it for me, and sent me on my way. After having lunch at Brio, my friends and I decided to stop by and try out some makeup at Sephora. We ended up having 2 mini makeover sessions with Maddy, our makeup stylist. She was patient and taught us how to use different makeup products to get the right look. My friend even got to learn how to apply her own smokey eyes, which looked gorgeous! Maddy told us they have beauty classes prior to the store opening every Sunday if you sign up for Sephora's beauty insider. You can also get points for every $1 you spend here, so you can get discounts on other products you buy. Yay! We all love Sephora but this particular Sephora definitely caters to a certain demographic and it's not people who look like me. I got a concealer from Sephora during the sale I returned it. I went to the register and the cashier with he red hair clear glasses and top lip piercing was the epitome of racial profiling. I gave her my receipt and told her i wanted to exchange the concealer for tatcha products (obviously i have to pay the difference) with a horrible attitude she ask "how am i suppose to return it without your email" i said you never asked for it and i gave you the receipt with the product on it. She then gave a nasty smirk and rolled her eyes. I then asked what email she used so i can get my 15% off she refused to tell me which email she selected and i only got 10%. So i asked her to call a manager and she refused she said, verbatim "what do i need to call a manager for? You got your refund what's the problem?". The manager came and as i am explaining i wanted to use a different email to get my 15% off she decided to completely cut me and was over Talkin me and the manager just sat there and let her lie and disrespect me. I will not be going to the Sephora ever again quite frankly any Sephora at that because being treated different because i don't look like who they cater too is enough to make me not spend my money there. Incompetent cashier, I come into the store once a month at the galleria location to make a small purchase and redeem my 50 pts insider card without a problem. I was catching a movie so decided to redeem it at this location, the girl scanned my card and told me to pay. After I paid I realized she never did ask me for my insider information. She asked for my phone number and assured me by just scanning the card I would get my points. In hindsight of course my account will come up AFTER she asked for the phone number. Skeptical but I assume they knew what they were doing. Sure enough I go to check a few days later and not only did I not get the 50 pts I also didn't get points for the purchase from that day. This location has a very limited selection. They don't carry kerastase and other hair care brands. Also, The sale ladies are a little bit stress all the time. Manager needs to check in the well being of their employess. Also they always rushing you to buy and get out of the store. I went into this location about two weeks ago. I was looking to check out some new products while in the area. When I was walking around the store with my mom she saw a foundation she was interested in buying and we were looking for the actual color that she needed. When we asked the young lady to look for the product that we couldn't find on the shelf in the back of the store she said that if it wasn't up there then they were probably out of stock. So then we continue shopping and in the process of continuing shopping we end up finding another foundation and spoke to another lady and we told her how much we initially wanted the other foundation but we could not find the right color but ask her if she could assist us with funny the new foundation. That lady will say well let me check first in the back for the first one that you wanted to make sure we don't have it. That lady ended up coming back with the foundation my mom initially wanted. Considering we have specifically asked her to go to the back and check and see if you had it in the first place is what's the aggravating part about our experience with coming into this store. she just didn't want to check in the back at all and that was just convenient for her to tell us that the product wasn't available. Other than that the second lady ended up assisting us and she was the best part of the visit because she actually introduced us to some new products we actually bought. But I think I will stick with Ulta because I never have these kind of issues while going there. read more

I really love Sephora and the products that they offer. This location is super close to my house and I like to stop by here when possible, but some negatives about this place is the lack of products they carry. It is a beautiful new store that is super well organized but they don't offer the full assortment of products that the Sephora at Memorial Mall has. (Lack of men's cologne, skincare products from the major lines, and full array of makeup). The team here are very helpful and always seem to know how to recommend products that they have within their store. So def an A plus on that. Parking however is issue, but since this City Center it is what it is. I just park in the garage and walk if the weather isn't horrible. If you are lucky enough you can grab some paid spaces in front of the store. read more

My little Sephora safe haven! Best location and the only Sephora in Houston I actually enjoy shopping in. As much as I love Sephora it can easily become overwhelming,crowded,and well just annoying. (Loud music,extremely bright lighting,messy testers,or just shopping inside of mall period can just be annoying.) This location is very spacious,clean (no yucky testers destroyed by customers),and relatively quiet location. The staff is very helpful,friendly,and seem like they actually enjoy being there. I can't say the same for other locations. I bought some new skincare items recently and a really lovely lady (I wish so much I could remember her name she was wearing glasses) genuinely listened to me and helped me find what I was looking for. I work across the street and came into this Sephora on my lunch break Monday and yesterday also. I wanted to get matched for the new NARS concealer and the Lancome teint de something (full coverage 24 hour lasting). They weren't very busy when I came in which didn't bother me because I prefer it that way. It's like the store is open for special little ol me =]. The cast here asked if I needed help but gave me space to explore and wander. I don't recall the name of the wonderful lady who helped match me and gave me tips on applying makeup. It seemed like her brush strokes were magic because I walked out feeling prettier and more confident in applying what I learned. I came back Tuesday to buy the contour brush she used on me, Stila liquid liner, and a face mask. I usually have a decent experience in this store, but today (August 5, 2019 around 10:50-11:00 am) left a sour taste in my mouth. The associate who greeted and offered to help me repeatedly told me the store did not have what I was looking for: a clean, water-resistant, 100% mineral sunscreen. She was unfriendly and behaved impatiently when I tried to explain to her that I'd like to see the "cleanest" water-resistant sunscreens available, even if they didn't have the clean seal of approval. She was very huffy and certain there was nothing in the store that fit my criteria. She also kept showing me chemical sunscreens even though I said I wanted a physical. Her knowledge of the products her store sells are clearly lacking, as are her customer service skills. Fed up with her attitude and general unhelpful mien, I dismissed her so I could continue looking for myself. And what do you know? I found EXACTLY what I was looking for in Supergoop PLAY 100% Mineral Lotion. It even has the "clean" seal. The manager did step in to offer assistance after the associate walked off and she was very nice and helpful. Still, I was very disappointed in the treatment I received from the associate. As a Sephora customer since I was 18 and I stared getting make up and perfumes, I may say this is so far one of the worst Sephora I have been in the world (and I have been living in. A lot of countries) first of all, the girls that work here are the most rude staff ever. If you don't need their help they look at you like you are going to steal something. It's not like you can go inside and try new products, and second if hey do help you they hate that you don't buy whatever they want you to buy. Anyways, my friend was trying to get a new foundation and the girl didn't find anything we liked for her skin type so she says OK you have 5 minutes. It's is 4 pm and there is 3 people in the store. I live in the memorial area so I often go to citycentre to workout or eat, so I am in my casual tee and jeans-- a particular middle age staff with short hair, maybe even the manager herself, has been rude repeatedly and is not helpful at all. I want to start off by saying my makeup artist Skylar was AMAZING. She did so amazing in the short time we had and her personality cheered me up immensely. This review has nothing to do with her I give her specifically 5 stars. I have never written a poor review for a Sephora, but that changes today. My appointment was at 2 and I arrived late because city center parking is awful. I had been circling since 1:50 and being 3 weeks away from delivery I had to waddle all the way over there when I finally didnpark. I have been to Sephora's all over Houston, Chicago, New York, LA and I've never been more disappointed than in this one. I understand being late is on me, but I have been late before (very rarely but it happens) and I have been accommodated. The lady I spoke to about appointments lied to me and told me my make up artist had another appointment after so she could only finish me in 30 minutes. Another lady came up shortly after my appointment was over, and told her she would be going to lunch in a little bit. Honesty is all I ask for. That was unprofessional and really rude and if she had the extra 10-15 to finish me up, I don't understand why her supervisors/beauty studio manager person couldn't allow her to do it. I buy lashes everytime. I give Sephora constant business. Im a ViB rouge that's constantly spending her money here. I'm so unhappy and i find this experience ridiculous. This was my last event before the baby arrives, and though I did feel beautiful, I have seen Skylar's work and know that I could have looked even more fabulous. I went in on Saturday 6/11 around 2:30pm looking for blush. An employee asked me what I needed help with, I told her, she started walking towards a brand she wanted to tell me about and I followed her. As we were walking she stopped another customer and asked her if she needed help finding something. The customer actually said, "yes, I do, but you're already helping her so I'll wait." The Sephora employee replied, "oh no, it's okay, I can help you." The other customer looked confused and kinda looked around and looked at me...the employee then again said to her, "What can I help you with?" So there I am just standing there watching them go into an in depth conversation. I don't know why this other customer was so important that I literally got ditched, but I can assume why. Not cool Sephora. My money is just as good as anyone else's. I just sorta stood there, then kinda wandered around the store still a little confused and, frankly, hurt that I was dismissed for another customer that clearly was viewed as more important. Anyways, I eventually left empty handed. I went to a different Sephora, got the advice I needed, then ordered online from another retailer. Got free shipping too. Super friendly staff! Very welcoming and attentive. I recently went into the store for a Rouge event and every associate was so helpful. They color matched foundations for me, provided me with perfume samples, and demonstrated products on me as well!
