in april 2016, i bought a groupon for 20units of dysport or xeomin for $129.00. i made my appointment for my first ever injections on my forehead. im nervous and excited. upon arrival i was a little thrown back by the location, in a run down strip mall off katy freeway. keeping an open mind, because this is my first time. i step inside with my 21 year old daughter. small area, run down, dusty and minimal decor. i signed a piece of paper and was whisked to a little room behind the front desk. the room was small with a exam table in it, a rolling tray and tv stand. katiana, a nurse, she was pleasant. stepped in and went over my concerns an the area i wanted the injections. she made recommendations for future injections and proceeded with what i requested. she stated id have to wait 6 months before using another groupon. i went home and waited for my new injections to do there job. i was pleased with katiana and felt she knew what she was doing , she was informative, gentle and professional with excellent bed side manners.
happy with my results i waited the 6 months and purchased another groupon with the same deal at gabby's spa 20 units plus an additional 20% off, total $103.99. i scheduled myappt, for oct, 2016. arriving with my 16nyrold daughter at the scheduled time, i was greeted by a facial lady, and a woman named debra.being a "repeat customer" i was told i also get a free facial. i whisked into a room that opened to the waiting area (where noone was waiting). the room was cold feeling, plain and againhad an exam bed, a mobile tray, facial machine and a dusty tv console (about 1/2" dust, as my daughter pointedout)..i told debra i wanted kantiana to do my injections. kantiana stepped into the room and debra went out. we discussed where i wanted the injections and other concerns i had. i then stated i only wanted the 2o units this time. kantiana went to get the xeomin. then in came debra who then stated "i am going to be honest with you, your face is really bad. you are going to need injections here, fillers here and injections there. totally $700." i was upset, felt super old and very uncomfortable, my self esteem went from hot young mom to wrinkled, lost hope mom. i asked debra what her job title was. she stated "office manager". i said then why are you even consulting with me regarding treatment? she said " i am trained and take all the same courses as everyone else." i asked her if she has given injections and debra said "yes, i give injections all the time, i know how, i do a great job so i know what im talking about." i said your not even licensed to give injections, your not even supposed to enter the dermal layer of the skin. i said i just wanted the 20 units i paid for. she said "we dont do half jobs, we do all, you will need to get it all." i said what do you mean? are you saying i cant get the 20 units? are you refusing to give me what i paid for unless i do all the extras? debra said "yes, you have to do it all now." i said i will just come back when i can afford it and left.
moral is: if the deal is to good to be true, it probably is. do judge a facility by the outside! make sure the person who is injecting you is licensed certified to do so. training is important!!!! i am appalled that debra who i found out later is the owner is taking advantage of customers by making customers feel they need to purchase more or they wont get the service they already paid for. i am upset debra is not even licensed to be injecting but yet she does injections and they had no doctors on site during either visit.
i would never go here again, she can close and reopen under a different name, and i still wouldnt go!!!!!
you should be ashamed of how you manage your business because its obvious it is with total disregard to your clients well being!!!! you shouldnt even be managing/owning a spa since you dont even know how they are ran and operated and you dont even know the laws!!!! i hope you get caught!
