I can't believe I've been shopping at Sephora in the Freehold Mall since forever and I never met Yvonne!! Well, last week, I finally found her and I will be stalking her in the future. Why? She's been at Sephora for 15 years and she really knows her sh%t. I came to pick up my birthday gift, (you know as a beauty product junkie that's already a problem), ha! How do you just walk into Sephora and just walk out with your free gift? Well, I also walked out learning all about a brand called Drunk Elephant that I really didn't know much about. It was one of the free birthday products that was offered and I wound up picking it and LOVE it! So many awesome products, you can see the display in my photos. All natural and organic and paraben- free. It leaves my skin so soft. I'll definitely be back to try more products. I also came in for some Fenty foundation. Yvonne recommended that before i purchase a new foundation that I should wait until my skin gets its Summer tan or i would be wasting my money. What a smart idea! Being at Sephora is like being a kid in a candy store for me. Sometimes it gets very overwhelming and sometimes you just need some help. If I could give a zero I would. I have been in this store numerous times but over the past month the customer service has gone down. When I asked for help, they couldn't be bothered. Rolled their eyes and refused to give a sample a product I wanted to try (I wanted to make sure I didn't have an allergic reaction) but on the way out I saw they gave out sample to other customers. When I confronted the sales person she said oh I just came in and I didn't know we had any and walked away. This happened before the big Sephora sale. I love make up. I love testing things out prior to purchasing because I have such horribly sensitive skin. I went in there too purchase a Foreo 2 for sensitive skin. They did not have any in stock. Got talked into purchasing another that's for normal skin. That's fine. Had that in my hands and continued to peruse the aisles. Saw the Born This Way foundation. I asked a dashes person for a sample of a color. She just said she could put sooner in new and I can look in there mirror. Ummm, no. Bottom line, it depends on the sales person. Some are sweethearts and really care about what your needs are and some are just... Weird and treat you like all you want are samples. I get it but again, I'm holding an item that I'm going to purchase. It's but like I just go there all e times and ask for samples all day. Recently had the custom makeover done for my engagement pictures. I loved my makeup artist Emily! As someone who rarely wears makeup she took her time to make sure I was comfortable with everything she was doing. The appointment was only supposed to be 45 minutes but she took just over an hour making sure everything would look perfect in photos. I will definitely be booking another appointment next time I have an event. read more

Danielle is my favorite go-to person because she has a really strong knowledge base about makeup and is always ready to help with a smile. Poor customer service. There was a line to enter and while thats understood considering COVID, the staff was too incompetent to pay attention to the rate of people leaving the store vs people entering the store. As a result, we watched 12 people leave the store and the staff didn't realize, so we waited 20 minutes to get in. The time of the review is 4:15pm on March 20, 2021. The staff working at this time should be ashamed of themselves. As I write this review, my wife and I are still outside the store, whilst another 10 people left the store. I am not wasting my time looking for a manager but this is a poor reflection on the branch and we will not return. read more

The dirtiest Sephora I've ever been to. The skincare products and displays were COVERED in dirt, dust, and extra product as well as extremely old and grimes testers. I called in to ask a question and the lady on the phone seemed so quick to hang up, it's like she didn't care to actually help me. Same went for when I was in the store. I had to ask the same question to 3 different people until I got an answer that seemed like it was honest, and I wasn't being brushed off. Stopped in here on Sunday morning in an attempt to purchase the Laura Mercier translucent loose powder in Deep. Prior to arrival I had used the find the item in store feature on their website and the item was listed as in stock at this location. When I arrived, the item was not in stock....of course. The two girls working only informed me the travel size powder was in stock, which is listed as out of stock on their website. Figures...The girls never offered to look up whether the item could be purchased at another Sephora or if I could order and pick up later/have the item delivered. The place was not busy whatsoever...so there was no excuse for substandard customer service. No wonder the place was deserted. I ended up going to Nordstroms. That doesn't mean I expect to be treated like royalty, but I would appreciate less judgy looks on my appearance. I'm actually satisfied with the customer service here. I had to return to the store because I noticed that from the last time I shopped there, one of the sales associates forgot to put an item that I had purchased into my bag at checkout, and I didn't notice until I got home. I returned to the store a few days later and explained the problem to them, showing them the receipt and the manager went to review the security tape of the counter to verify what I said. She apologized for the mishap and gave me the missing item. read more

I was in this sephora a couple weeks ago ,and just hours before I had a wedding to attend. I went in with a previously purchased foundation that didn't match my skin because I spray tanned and my usual eyebrow color was not going to work due to the horrific story of dying my hair to red the day before. As one can tell I was a little worried and crunched for time. WELL luckily I got Betsy to help me and she tested a bunch of shades of foundation until we found the right one. Then she helped me with the eyebrow shade next and I didn't even feel like a pain in the butt, because... in a 10 minute visit to this store, Betsy made me feel like she was my best friend, able to relate to things on a personal level and most of all helped me leave he store confident I would look good for this wedding. I never wear a lot of make-up and just do the basics and never get great service when I go into a makeup store until yesterday. I came into Sephora the other day looking to get all new products and ditch everything else I had at home. Emily greeted me when I walked in and I'm so happy she did. So sweet and really took her time to answer every question I had and to make sure I was truly satisfied and comfortable with the products. She tested different products on my face and made sure I got the right shades and brushes for everything. She asked lots of questions about my skin and what I was looking for. This is pretty much my second home. I'm a makeup junkie and enthusiast. For the most part, everyone I've met here has been lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. The new store is renovated beautifully and the convenience of swatching the products couldn't be easier. There is, however, one blonde middle-aged lady (seems to have been at this location for some time) that has the worst case of RBF (resting b&*%# face). She's also inconsistent with her customer service. Some days she's nice enough to say hello. Other days I pray to not have her ring up my transaction. You never know which side of her you'll get!!! I went to the mall on a busy Friday night with my friend who had to pick up some things from Sephora. As she was getting color matched I walked over to skincare. Immediately I was greeted by Betsy, and I asked if she knew anything to help with enlarged pores and sebaceous filaments. She had me explain my current skincare routine to her, told me what was good about it, and showed me one product that would work awesome with what I was currently using. I didn't like it, explained my weird skin issues and tics (I mean it is my face haha we should be particular about them!) and instead of being like oh this is best you need this one thing she took a minute to think, utilized a touchscreen computer system and showed me a further three options that would fit me perfectly. I asked for a sample of the Korres enzyme and pomegranate mask (I hate returning new products that are just going to get tossed!). Betsy not only gave me the sample but walked me through how to properly use it. My friend was done shopping so I went with her to the register. I didn't catch the cashiers name but she was so pleasant!!! We honestly just talked to her and another cashier for a bit (there was no line so it wasn't inconvenient to others) and she mentioned two things (stila highlighter and false lashes) that we ended up getting as well. Overall this was a great Sephora experience. Store was super clean, generously staffed with the nicest people, and now I'm obsessed with this pomegranate mask! Definitely coming back to purchase. The workers are so rude. I went in there with one of my friends and we we're seeing which foundation matched our skin color by putting it up to our face and some rude lady walked up to us and told us that we weren't allowed to do that. Huh, last time I checked I was lmao. Again we went to the highlighter cause we need to glow and we put it on my face and the same lady said to us in the rudest tone, "That's not how it's supposed to be worn." But what I did was normal highlight. But that's not all, we went to look at eyebrow pencils and we picked it up and started to fill in our eyebrows and the same lady said, "This is not a playground, put it down, you need to leave." At that point we were so mad, we stormed out looking fab though. So by this you see the Sephora Store in Freehold Raceway Mall has the rudest employees that give false information about the makeup they sell. DO NOT GO HERE!! read more
