I've since relocated and was unable to travel back during the pandemic to have them done. Ani did my brows in November 2020. They were a beautiful brown immediately after my first session and darkened as I expected. They kept getting darker. I looked angry. I followed Ani's instructions to lighten them by doing the opposite of good aftercare and they began to lighten. They were no longer brown but were grayish-black instead. Ani offered to warm them up with a different tint that wouldn't darken them. The tint seemed to work but quickly faded to the same dark gray brows with a base that looks like color bled. It doesn't help that my hair is brown and my brows stand out as a poorly drawn in mismatch. My brows are a disaster and Ani stopped responding in July. I'm still diligently trying to fade them but these badboys won't budge. I started not to leave this review because Ani is super nice and super chill. Unfortunately, my brows are super botched and it seems fair to give others a warning. On the top it stated that you can get a free robe or "luxury" throw blanket with ANY $70 fragrance purchase. (as seen below) So I was like well this is awesome, I was planning on buying perfume anyways and I could score a free robe for my mother in law! Christmas shopping made easy, right! WRONG. After waiting in the very long line I got up front to the registers, they had many of the robes back there stacked up. When my total hit $90 after buying 3 bottles of Sol De Janeiro, I mentioned the pamphlet I was given. They rudely told me that Sol De Janeiro isn't "luxurious" enough. Like, excuse me 14 ounces for $90 (while being 25% off) isn't good enough?! The ad clearly stated no exclusions. So I just brushed it off because I'm not going to stand here and argue with them while there is a big line of people waiting. Then they asked me if I had a Ulta phone number with them and I said no, they asked me if i'd like to sign up and I said no. Then the other cashier next to her rudely said, "Well even if you were eligible for the gift, you wouldn't be able to get it since you aren't signed up with us. Like okay bitch, nobody was talking to you. Plus, if I was eligible I would've signed up with them! Moral of the story, I will never spend another penny at that crappy store.

Walgreens came to my rescue. I was in Columbia for a family wedding and forgot to pack a few items…read more Lucky for me, this Walgreens was only about a half a mile from my hotel. I'm sure it wasn't, but this one seemed a little bit larger than the one I shop back home. The aisles seemed to be wider and the store was more spacious. As I browsed looking for the items I needed, I almost got distracted by various displays. I liked how they had a section highlighting books about, Columbia, MO. I was especially attracted to the one about, Wicked Women of Missouri and Movie Theaters of Columbia. Seeing the clearance shelves made me jealous, I've never seen them back home. Something that did surprise me, was that their condoms were not under lock and key. I guess, being a college town they're happy the students are practicing safe sex if the do shoplift them. I found and purchased the items I came for. The cashier was super sweet and apologized for the Karen in front of me. I reassured her, that she did a great job handling her. I think this is one of the better Walgreens, that I have shopped and give them two thumbs up.

My husband bought a Coke and it wasn't put in our bag - later that night we were in the area for dinner and came back inside to try to get it and it was waiting up front at the register for us and the same guy was there who apologized. It gets pretty busy and the line can get seriously long but the staff were nice and friendly and kept the line moving. Overall - not amazing - but def. not bad.

I've been coming to this beauty supply store exclusively since I moved to Columbia about a year and…read morea half ago, but I will no longer be going there. Last week, I purchased some bundles with a 360 frontal because I wanted to try a new look. I had never done bundles and a frontal before, so I asked a lot of questions to make sure I was getting the right (and quality) products, especially if I was going to spend so much money. They only had one kind of 360 frontal, and I specifically asked the sales girl whether the frontal went with the bundles. She told me that it did. The frontal and bundles did not match and it was only during installation that it came to light. Not only did the texture not match, but the colors were vastly different. When I went back, the same day of installation, to show them the difference, the owner hands me a bottle of black hair color and tells me to dye the bundles and go "be happy". No apology was given. Also, his proposed "fix" was no fix because it wouldn't be enough to cover all the bundles and it's a rinse so coverage would not be that strong. I am disappointed with how I was misled. There should be some integrity in how a business is run. I will not be going back there.
