Walgreens came to my rescue. I was in Columbia for a family wedding and forgot to pack a few items. Lucky for me, this Walgreens was only about a half a mile from my hotel. I'm sure it wasn't, but this one seemed a little bit larger than the one I shop back home. The aisles seemed to be wider and the store was more spacious. As I browsed looking for the items I needed, I almost got distracted by various displays. I liked how they had a section highlighting books about, Columbia, MO. I was especially attracted to the one about, Wicked Women of Missouri and Movie Theaters of Columbia. Seeing the clearance shelves made me jealous, I've never seen them back home. Something that did surprise me, was that their condoms were not under lock and key. I guess, being a college town they're happy the students are practicing safe sex if the do shoplift them. I found and purchased the items I came for. The cashier was super sweet and apologized for the Karen in front of me. I reassured her, that she did a great job handling her. I think this is one of the better Walgreens, that I have shopped and give them two thumbs up. read more

This is a big Walgreens and we found what we needed during our time in town. Some graduation cards, a birthday card, some Mother's Day cards, it was a busy weekend! lol. We also found some snacks, some drinks, and a few necessities inside. My husband bought a Coke and it wasn't put in our bag - later that night we were in the area for dinner and came back inside to try to get it and it was waiting up front at the register for us and the same guy was there who apologized. It gets pretty busy and the line can get seriously long but the staff were nice and friendly and kept the line moving. Overall - not amazing - but def. not bad. read more

Just sat for over and hour and a half waiting for these idiots to call out to say my prescriptions are filled. I sat right in front. No one else out sitting, just me. Hour and a half. honestly one star doesn't even cut it. if there was a 0 star or maybe even some negative stars i would be for sure to use them. about two weeks ago i made an appointment to get a vaccination, on the appointment i had told them what i needed and they reviewed it and scheduled the appointment. fast forward to the appointment, i get there 5 minutes before and go to the desk to check in, im rudely told to scan the QR code (already off to a bad start) but i obey and wait for them to call me to the back. i sit there and wait for a good 25 minutes while the pharmacists are just standing there with their dicks in their hands. then i get called up (by a blue haired liberal with american girl doll teeth ) and she asks me a bunch of stupid questions and basically ask me what was the date of every single vaccination i've ever had, like honey i don't have a damn clue. so anyways i slave away on my phone and finally find the files and tell them. wait about 5 minutes while she plays on her computer and well lookie here they are out of stock of the vaccination. she then offered that i could make another appointment at the walgreens on the OTHER side of town, but i wouldn't get any money off or anything so really, what's the point? so not only did this bitch waste my time, but she wasted my gas and i came out with no shot. definitely never going back. read more

Switching pharmacies asap. They seem overloaded usually and I've had a really negative experience with staff. There's a redhead older woman there who is rude and contrary for no apparent reason. She refused to let me get an immunization bc I waited in a line for 15 minutes with made me 15 minutes late for my appointment to get the covid booster and flu shot. When the nurse giving immunizations asked her to let me go anyway since I was on time but in line, she still wouldn't even though when I got to the front she yelled over me to all the other customers in line to see if in line there to get immunizations and pulled them to the front of the long line in front of me even though she hadn't used that method when I was waiting in line. Great job wasting my time. I ordered two items from them online and hours later they cancel my order because the items were 'unavailable.' Nice bait-and-switch false advertising. Absolutely awful customer service. My wife stopped to pick up one antibiotic for our son. (He is her stepson) They refused to give her the prescription because she did not know the antibiotic prescribed. Then they informed her they would fill it IF she paid for the meds, even though his insurance covered it. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY!!!!! We had the doctor send the med there because it's near his dorm. We'll make the drive from now on. read more

If ur in the drive threw behind somebody an it hits 1:30 they pull the black curtain soon as the car in front of u leaves an goes to lunch instead of taken care of the people in-line who was there before 1:30 waiting in line. The prescription line is often long but I've always had friendly and compassionate reactions with the staff in in-store checkout and at the pharmacy window. It's not a palace but I don't understand all the bad reviews. read more

I went to pick up a prescription after days of getting the run around on the phone. I waited twenty minutes in line to find out it hadn't been filled and was told they would do it immediately , ready in 30 Minutes. I decided to come back 3 hours later and again was told not ready yet . So ....... short staffed it couldn't be done. For various health reasons I begged and the pharmacist came over again apologized and explained too short staffed but that he was actually working on it then. Both Nathan , assistant pharmacist and the other young dark haired man working there were trying as best they could but several times explained how short staffed and how no one wanted to work there anymore. Walgreens this is VERY dangerous and how accidents happen. Value your employees snd get them the help and support they need. I really worry about staff being over worked having to deal with such important details snd drugs. read more

I called ahead requesting that a prescription be transferred to another pharmacy (because of how awful this pharmacy truly is). I arrived at the agreed-upon time and no one knew what I was talking about. I repeated myself politely three times, asking for the paper prescription (there's some silly policy where they won't transfer it FOR you, you have to physically carry the paper Rx to the other pharmacy, I'm not joking). After waiting in line for 15 minutes I was told to wait for an additional 10 minutes. So 25 minutes later (of course) I was called to the front and the same pharmacist (well, not "pharmacist", some 16-year-old with no apparent attention span) handed me a bottle of pills. I told her "as you'll recall I asked for the paper copy of the prescription to transfer to another pharmacy". She rolled her eyes and walked to the only adult in the room and said quietly "NOW he wants the paper copy instead." I couldn't help but correct her in the hopes of embarrassing her in front of her boss. This resulted in four minions ganging up on me to let me know that the process for extracting this piece of paper from the filing cabinet would take at least one hour. I asked if it was in alphabetical order and they repeated the one hour ETA without answering my question. I wanted to say "If the four of you would do your separate jobs instead of all helping one 16-year-old explain something maybe you'd be more efficient" Bad attitudes all around and rudeness in spades. Not only is this the most garbage Walgreens I've ever been to, but it's the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. The pharmacy staff from the pharmacists to the pharmacy techs are all incompetent and unprofessional. They screw our order up every single time. I have always printed my pictures from here when I need them but the last time I was there a MOUSE was also there! I was checking out at the photo counter when an employee working behind there shrieked. Not a minute later a big mouse (honestly could have been a rat by size, everything happened so fast) ran out and into the food isle. I always knew this Walgreens wasn't going to win an award for most clean, I didn't know there were rodents freely roaming on the inside and in the food isle! They didn't reverse the prescription claim they filled after notifying me that that they were out of stock on the drug. So I had to go to another pharmacy for them to tell me that my insurance won't pay for it because the prescription has already been filled. I've been going to this Walgreens pharmacy for 3 years now and have tried to be extremely patient with them and how much they mess up but really can't take their unprofessionalism any more. I had been going to this drug store for years and I have to admit that they do have some good sales items once in a while, but anything good they have is FAR overshadowed by the terrible customer service. A smile is non-existant at the pharmacy. They have a unique ability to make you feel like you are annoying them when you are the sick one. There is rarely anyone around if you need help. Rarely is there more than one person at the cash register, even at busy times of the day. When I changed pharmacies, I wondered why I had ever shopped at the other one. read more

I was in a hurry to print off some pictures so I went to Walgreens. I asked for assistance when editing the photos I wanted to print and the employee didn't help me or try to find someone to help me. After submitting the pictures to print the employee messed up my order and ended up printing hundreds of pictures. So my estmated wait time was extended to an hour and a half. Like I mentioned before I was in a hurry and I did not have time to wait. The manager did not apologize or even offer a discount. I won't be coming back. Long wait at pharmacy. Server was down so I paid outta pocket for my Rx, that I had to have! Not happy after allowing 3hrs for the Rx to be called in from KY, I couldn't use my insurance because server was down! That is crap! I called Walgreens and asked them if my children can get flu shots. The person on the phone assured me that yes they can. I arrived at Walgreens and asked the pharmacy clerk where do we need to go for the flu shot. He told us we need to et in line with other customers who were living up their medicine. When we finally got to the window the same clerk told us that my children cannot get flu shots. They must have a prescription! This Walgreen's location is unique. Holding for up to 20 minutes to speak with pharmacist is the norm, today was an exception. Pharmacist picked up on 2nd ring, so management must be reading reviews. One night a few months back, a pharmacist was overheard saying how unfair reviews were and management was too hard on her. I couldn't help myself, my response was she might not see how bad service was but I could certainly affirm reviews from my experiences. Service is getting better but they've got a ways to go yet. Seems like counter is ignored and that should change. That said I fill scrips monthly with Walgreens at 4 different locations in Missouri. I have yet to have a smooth experience with the pharmacy dept. Every time I have went to pick up my prescriptions or my kids prescriptions there is ALWAYS an issue! I have had to have them correct a home address a few separate times, have had to stand there and argue with them about scripts being called in ( they didn't realize that there were messages on the answering machine) there is one woman in particular that is just straight up rude and mouthy. I get sent alerts when my scripts are ready a do drive 25 mins to pick them up and they aren't ready. I then have to wait for another 30 mins and watch them scramble to fill them. It's just an over all pain in the ass. I have yet to get a " good afternoon ma'am, how are you?" Or anything close to that from the employees. I usually just get blank stares or noses that get turned up. If I can avoid going here,then I do it.... The only reason I haven't switched to Kilgores pharmacy I town is bec this is a 24 hour one. read more

Terrible. Long wait both at store and when refilling prescriptions over phone. They have majorly screwed up my last 4 prescriptions. First they gave me someone else's medication, then they gave me the wrong dose, and twice they forgot to give me my whole script, even though it was all ready. read more
