Worth mentioning that while this Korean restaurant has been in this corner for ages, I believe it changed hands recently. We were here 3 years ago and not impressed, but recently it's really turned things around.
Disclaimer: we are HUGE fans of Madang, the direct competition in the same alley! Literally, you have a small dinky alley ... and there's two Korean restaurants pitted against each other. Madang is my fave, hands down (although their house wine is SH*T). But if you go during peak hours to Madang, good luck getting a seat! We happened to end up at Seoul-Ria when Madang was cleaning their grill (good to know they clean), and the second time, the queues were plain silly. Both times we were happy.
Side dishes - they don't cheap out on this which I love. The BBQ meat dishes aren't as generous as Madang, but it wasn't horrible. They have different BBQs, so the meat doesn't stick as easily or burn as quickly. I had a spicy pork the other day and it was a bit too excessive on the marinade ... but that's just me being picky. Oh, the service is there too just because it's not a huge venue so definitely manageable for them.
We'll probably alternate between the two, but good to know it's an option! read more
