I came here with my daughter back in December. She is a toddler.... I know for a fact we got the Galbi, sweet and sour pork, spring rolls, I got a Dr. Pepper and the Cass lager; my daughter had a drink. That's IT. I remember being so excited because they carried Cass. That excitement was abruptly dashed when the bill came, I didn't even get to have a false sense of security from a little buzz since I only had one to compliment my meal should've planned for two to compliment that bill!!!! The point of my review is that I was originally under the belief the prices listed were regular prices. Turned out those were lunch prices. For the amount of food we got, regular prices are undeniably insane. She informed me AFTER that lunch is only Tuesday-Friday. We went on a Monday. It felt very deceitful to have lunch menus out, with lunch prices, and not tell someone that it's actually NOT lunch, those prices are inaccurate, nor give the correct pricing. I don't know about my toddler, she was just happy to be alive, there, no responsibilities, and unemployed atp; but I know I left there hungry. I texted and called my mother to gripe about it because I was expecting an affordable rare lunch out with my daughter and felt like I got robbed. Insult to injury they don't do any type of military discount, not even 5% Idk kinda crazy to be in this area and NOT do that; but whatever toots her horn. The quality of this food is not up to par with any Korean restaurant I have been to. It is disappointing, I just know over half of these raving reviews are from people who have never left Mississippi nor tried diverse foods/other authentic Korean eateries. This restaurant is severely lacking. Quality control, portion control, and the amount of time it takes to receive anything after ordering.... I should have known because we were the only patrons there until the middle end of our meal, and it was a little group of 3 retirement-aged folks. I don't know if the reviews are by people who just have money to blow through, zero financial literacy, or if I was upcharged for things compared to what everyone else was charged, but it is disappointing. Our bill was 80-100 dollars!!! My child is TWO the food was not nasty, but it was not 80-100$ good! It was alright at best. Furthermore, she chased me down for a secondary transaction just for the tip. I used tap to pay and wrote the tip like usual, BUT allegedly they cannot receive a tip with that payment method; so she ran, genuinely RAN, after me to my car...absolutely tweaked. I just know those old heads thought I tried to skip out on my bill, it was genuinely embarrassing. I do not know why she thought that was appropriate at ALL. I have neverrr had an issue using tap2pay, adding my tip/paying the bill all in the same transaction. It's extremely disappointing! If this place wasn't astronomically unaffordable I would have considered going back; even with her chasing me like I was a criminal, but I cannot justify dropping that kind of money on a meal I didn't cook and no sort of love went into it. They're the only place I have been able to find the Cass Fresh lager :( it's so saddening. Take my review how you will, but I definitely will not be returning to this establishment. Very casual tasty Korean restaurant around Biloxi. They have a large menu with authentic Korean items. I got the Korean tofu soup, which was good. Nothing like you would get in a major city however it was still refreshing to have. Lots of tofu, the broth wasn't as rich as I would like since it was more on the clear side. Came here to try Korean bbq and was very disappointed. Waited a bit for the food to arrived and when it did arrive, the meat and rice was cold. My wife's egg and rice were also cold. The bowl that she got was very hot but the food inside was not. She was baked to mix and turn the food inside and it warmed up a little. The only thing that came hot was the Yokimondu that we ordered as a side. Once, got up to pay, we told the lady that works there how displeased we were with the temperature quality of our food. She said that she was busy and did it fast. She also told us "when you come next time, it will be hot." I just nodded and as we were walking away, I told my wife "there won't be another time. The ambiance was a little warm inside, unorganized, and had a big loud fan running, making seating two tables in from of it, very windy and uncomfortable. Well it's been a year and I'm now a regular here. I got at least once a month. I love the food, I definitely have learned some tricks! I never go after 2pm because the dinner menu is too high for me, but the pickled cucumber side dish and kimchi are so good and as are almost all the items on the menu. Don't order a drink it just a can so I get why the prices for drinks are high. Get water. If you want friends rice instead of white rice or vice verse just remember to say it twice. Had lunch at Seoul Restaurant a couple of days ago. Before I retired I ate here frequently. It's close to Keesler AFB where I worked and the food is great. Well, the food is still GREAT. My favorite is the spicy Bulgogi. Way better than RC's. The service could be a little quicker, but the food is worth waiting for. This place has been serving authentic home cooked Korean food for almost 30 years! Our food was made by an auntie who reminded me of my mom, and the food was made with love. People on Yelp seem very quick to make judgements about service these days; when we arrived, there was only ONE person working both the front end and the kitchen. Despite this, the food was made pretty quickly. Banchan was pretty good. Bibimbap was our favorite, the tofu in it was so soft and tasty. The pajeon and jajyangmeon don't look or taste like the ones served in more commercialized, popular places I'm used to in NY but still very flavorful and fresh. I took a look at the one table with food and the banchan was terrible looking. With Korean food the Kimchi makes or breaks it. Stop trying to please the American palate. Make good kimchi that is colorful and rich in flavor. I can make white looking cabbage with a couple pepper flakes at home. When I go to eat Korean I want it authentic. Tonight we ate at a very small restaurant called Seoul Korean. It was like being in someone's home and having their grandmother cook for us. My Bolgogi beef was amazing and spicy! My husband and I came here for lunch one day. We got the spring rolls for an appetizer and bi bim bop with beef. The spring rolls came out quickly after we ordered them. They were delicious! The bi bim bop was flavorful and all of the condiments were great as well! Our only complaint is that the rice at the bottom didn't get crispy like we are use to with the stone bowls and there was barely any beef in our bowls. I was not a fan of the food here. The woman who was our server (and cook and cashier and...) was very nice. We were the only ones in the restaurant and she let my husband change the channel on the t.v. I don't think the food was bad, but it definitely wasn't to my liking. I know I enjoy Korean food, but I don't know enough about the nuances of the cuisine to know what made this taste different than I'm accustomed to. We explained our dietary requirements and asked if there were items on the menu we would be able to eat. Our server offered to modify a few dishes to meet our needs. This is what really stood out to me at Seoul Restaurant. That is amazing service if you ask me. We were warned that the dishes we chose would be "spicy". Absolutely nothing we tasted was spicy to either of us so the server brought us some spicy paste to add to our dishes. We tried 3 dishes-- Spicy kimchi with tofu - It's served warm with little squares of tofu around it. Huge serving. Kimchi ramen - Also a gigantic serving. Vegetable bibimbap - Nice chewy rice. While the banchan and the other items were ordered were good, our service was inexcusable. I usually drive to metarie from the north shore to eat Korean a minimum of once a month. Our favorite place closed during covid and never reopened. After driving to Biloxi to eat seafood at a casino and learning there was a 3 hour wait for a table, trusty Yelp saved the day when I searched like Korean restaurant in my current location. After driving by both Korean restaurants in Biloxi, this one looked to have more curb appeal. My husband and I ordered our regular items we order. Him the bulgogi and me the bib in bap. We also ordered fried dumplings. Our server, which I believe was the owner, was almost rude when I asked her for more kimchi since my husband and I both love it. For my rice bowl a small side of hot sauce was brought out to add to it (in the past every Korean restaurant I've eaten at bring out a big squirt bottle of it). My husband used some for his bulgogi and When I asked for more she brought out the whole tub of it from the kitchen with a big spoon. She took out a huge scoop and just plopped it directly on my rice. If that wasn't enough...when we were done eating and just sitting for a minute and talking, the lady walked behind my husband and slapped him on the back of the neck and said "you pay up here". Needless to say, I refuse to go back. We have since eaten 2 times at the other Korean restaurant up the road RC something or other. It's good when I drive an hour and half to eat there. I can't tell you how much I love this place! I first found out about this place while I was stationed at Kessler AFB which is conveniently located on the next street so it makes it perfect for people who work on base to come during lunch. Their lunch specials are beyond perfectly priced and have a few different choices for under $10 with a un/sweet tea included. I moved away in 2010 and recently moved back. The lady is still the same and remembered me. It's a blessing to have such authentic Korean food so close by. Living in California I had good Korean food at my choosing but nothing like this place. The service, the food, and the price. They bring you out complimentary side dishes, kimchi, pickled radish, broccoli, spicy cucumbers, fish cakes, bean sprouts, among other this.
